These people are not even Worthy to enter heaven aswear, but why on Earth will Lord lugard amalgamate north and south as a country if not that lord lugard is wicked...I just wish that Southern Nigeria is a country in it's own, Northern Nigeria will be like Afghanistan by now, Religion has brainwashed them like that of Boko Haram, ISIS, Al qeeda etc...all of them that support the killing of Deborah is a terrorist, what is the difference between when Boko Haram burnt church and the killing of Deborah....as a matter of fact, this convince me so much that Biafra must stand...I don't fucking care about Nigeria as a country anymore, because I can't continue using the name of country that Wild Animals and human beings live together..... nonsense people |

The deaths of more than a million people in Nigeria as a result of the brutal civil war which ended exactly 50 years ago are a scar on the nation's history. For most Nigerians, the war over the breakaway state of Biafra is generally regarded as an unfortunate episode best forgotten, but for the Igbo people who fought for secession, it remains a life-defining event. In 1967, following two coups and turmoil which led to about a million Igbos returning to the south-east of Nigeria, the Republic of Biafra seceded with 33-year-old military officer Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu at the helm. The Nigerian government declared war and after 30 months of fighting, Biafra surrendered. On 15 January 1970, the conflict officially ended. The government's policy of "no victor, no vanquished" may have led to a lack of official reflection, but many Nigerians of Igbo origin grew up on stories from people who lived through the war. Three of those who were involved in the secessionist campaign have been sharing their memories. We thought we were magicians' Christopher Ejike Ago, soldier He had just finished grammar school and started training as a veterinary assistant at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), in south-eastern Nigeria, when the civil war began. Almost every student he knew became part of the war effort. He joined the Biafran army and was assigned to the signal unit, whose responsibilities included "active intelligence and eavesdropping on the Nigerian military". We thought we were magicians," said 76-year-old Mr Ago. "The Nigerians who were pursuing us were trained soldiers. We were not. We were drafted into the war, given two days' training. "Plus the fact that we were hungry. Some of us, our skin was getting rotten. Nobody can fight a war like that." In January 1966, some senior Nigerian army officers, mostly of the Igbo ethnic group, assassinated key politicians during a coup in the West African state. Those killed included Ahmadu Bello, a revered leader in the north. This led to months of massacres against the Igbo living in the north. Tens of thousands were killed while about a million fled to what was then known as the Eastern Region. Colonel Odumegwu Ojukwu, the Military Governor of Biafra in Nigeria inspecting some of his troops, 11th June 1968. Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, in June 1968, was a charismatic figure Presentational white space These events sparked the decision to secede, spearheaded by Ojukwu, who was then the military governor of the Eastern Region. In the months preceding the war, Ojukwu often visited UNN, the only university in south-eastern Nigeria at the time, to meet with students and prepare them for secession. Mr Ago looked forward to these visits, and joined the crowd who gathered at the university's Freedom Square. "Once his helicopter touched down, everybody went there and, practically, school shut down. "He had this incredible sense of humour. He spiked everybody up and we formed songs and were singing and enjoying ourselves." In the first year of the war, the Nigerian government captured the coastal city of Port Harcourt and imposed a blockade, which cut food supplies to Biafra. Mr Ago remembers the overpowering hunger that often forced Biafran soldiers to catch and eat mice. He also remembers the last year of the war when his unit was continuously on the move, fleeing the advancing Nigerian army. "Somewhere in the middle of the war," he said, "the Biafrans made some dramatic successes that gave us hope that we might hold the Nigerians until at least some help from outside came." By late 1969, all hope was lost. Biafra timeline January 1966 - Nigerian government overthrown in what was seen as an "Igbo coup" led by junior army officers January 1966 - Lt Col Odumegwu-Ojukwu appointed military governor of Eastern Region July 1966 - Second coup masterminded by Murtala Muhammed, Lt Col Yakubu Gowon becomes head of state June to October 1966 - Riots in northern Nigeria targeted at Igbos, killing many and forcing up to a million to return to south-eastern Nigeria May 1967 - Ojukwu declares independence of the Republic of Biafra July 1967 - War begins October 1967 - Biafran capital Enugu falls May 1968 - Nigeria captures oil-rich Port Harcourt April 1969 - Umuahia, new Biafran capital falls to Nigerian forces January 1970 - Ojukwu flees Nigeria January 1970 - Biafra surrenders |
Francashy:Wow lovely speech |
Please can someone tell me the most useless currency in the world? |
paulolee:I have people working under me brother and they can all testify how intake them as brothers, sometimes we eat together |
Sometimes in life it will be as if things are not working out despite the fact of all effort put together to achieve a goal, whereas someone else will just take a step and it click once without much stress, Bro that doesn't mean you are a failure, there is always time for everything on Earth and everyone has a time to succeed if only you work towards success. Success is the state or condition of meeting a defined range of expectations...pursue it, drag for it, fight for it as your first priority... I was at the front of my house today and I saw what really made me feel like, a rich man has no much regard for a poor man no matter how the rich man tried to cover up, a rich man will always be friend to a rich man, poor man will always be poor because they fail to understand the statistics of success, thinking small, bringing down themselves all in the name of no money, no business risk because poor man will always hold on to the little he has thinking not of how to double it or triple it. At the front of my house I saw a man driving 2017 Highlander Toyota, the man was horning waiting for the security guy to open the gate because is an estate, just twice that the man horned, maybe because the security guy was eating inside and when he heard the horn he was trying to prepare himself and come to attend to the man, the security guy came out so fast and I was shocked that this man alighted from his car and started shouting for the security guy, talking all sort of foul words to the guy, the guy was trying to explain to the man, even begging the man, the man gave the guy deaf ears and talk to the guy to the extent that the guy started shedding tears...how can human be so wicked to his or her fellow human, does that mean that some people have lost there conscience, because I still don't get it... We were discussing something in our factory the other day about all these rituals happening in Nigeria, I was telling our workers that it baffles me when I hear about all these ritual stuff, because I know well that these victims will continue to plead for there life, begging, promising heaven and Earth just to escape, but the evil doing maggots will still carry out the evil act due to selfish interest... Please am writing this maybe it will reach one or two people that's treating his fellow human in a very disgusting way to change because I bet you the highest you could live is 100years...start seeing everyone around you as someone that doesn't deserve to be harm |
Just getting to my house, have to drink garri with chilled water garnished with Milo and kulikuli alata....life goes on Continuation of what happened at OSHODI between LASTMA and bus driver... This bus driver had to aight from his bus and tried to explain the situation to the officer but the officer didn't bother to give listening ears, he hold the man's cloth and started dragging the man, people were trying to cool the officer, that was when the ego became extensive. I don't know, I don't just know what these security personnel always think they are especially when they out on that uniform, they treat the citizens they are suppose to be taking care of as if they are nobody. Haw can a soldier be giving someone punishment of rolling on the floor, rolling in a mud, sitting on the floor like a criminal...these is too bad, what made them think they have every right to molest us. Today you will see so many people joining army just because to pay back evil maybe to there neighbor, friend, enemy and so on...the country has now turn to a country that you can't trust any security personnel with your life This is a big shame to the whole nation, they don't even practice the definition of security again, protecting life and property, they abandon there duties and start acting opposite. I was stopped by some policemen at Daleko market at Mushin 6days ago, immediately they stop the bike I boarded, one of the policemen was already holding his gun with a very strong face, inside of me I was just like, is this man really this frustrated doing this job or is anyone forcing him to be a policeman, several thoughts came to my mind. Immediately the bike stopped, they asked me to come down from the bike that they want to search my bag in which I obediently allowed them, they discovered the materials I bought to make some shoes inside the bag, they looked at my face and asked me, what am I doing for a living, I told him am a shoe maker, that they can check my page on Instagram, they told me I should not tell them what to do with a very arrogant voice, they told me to remove my sun shade, I told them that that's part of my personal soliloquy that am wearing the sun shades for some reasons best known to me, one of them said, Hey boy do you know that my son is older than me, I was like what brings someone that's older in this situation now, Sir please with all due respect, just let me go, a customer is waiting for this shoe and me staying here for so long without you seeing any exhibit with me will delay my time please... The other one said that what of if they don't want to allow me to go what will I do, I told him nothing before they now set me free... So disgusting |
immortalcrown:The security aspect is really decaying |
This article is as a result of Error in Nigeria economy, security flaws that is taking over the country, in as much as Nigeria had tried North president, west president, south south president now left to the east. Nigeria should put so many things into consideration considering this issue of 2023 president election The Eastern part of the country deserves this President in so many ways not even only for giving them as a form of sympathy but as a form of uniting Nigeria Nigeria should come together and forget tribalism and religion as a country, let's do what's right. |
I will really love us to debate on this because am really lost as I always see security personnel using foul language like curse, abuse and other arrogant stuffs to the citizens they are suppose to be putting in order... The one that happened at OSHODI today been the 2nd of February 2020 around the hour of 5pm, there is this Lagos State Trafgic Management Authority LASTMA personnel, became so unbearable for me and it ignite me to put it into writing It is so sad that Nigeria citizens no longer possess there right as the security personnel has seized our right from us, there are so many incidents of this babaric act that is happening in the country and it really matter if we can look into this to be restore Back to my sad live story... A LASTMA personnel that I don't bother to take a snap of him or his name because of chances not created due to some personal security reasons had a fight with a commercial bus driver at the front entrance to terminal 3 at oshodi, I saw the anger in the face if the lastma personnel as he makes his way to slap the driver but due to the driver ability to dodge the abusive slap from the security personnel, the way he spoke to the driver in a very abusive manner and the painful part of the stuff is that the driver can't even return a word due to the fear of sanctioning which could lead him to pay a huge amount of money...tooooo bad This is babaric act been impose on us, they pay you guys to put smile on citizens face, because we citizens are the producing your salaries, we citizens now use these same people to wicked themselves.... security personnel have now turn to money beggers, money worshippers, running errands for money, this is too bad.... sometimes when I sit and think about my country Nigeria, I feel like going crazy with the way we treat ourselves forgetting that there is a bond that bring us together as one which is the name NIGERIA... I will continue later with my story...I want to alight from the bus |
