I've done certain things no man ever dared to do. Let me tell you just one or two. Where I come from, streams were the only sources of water to my village. There was this stream not too far from my compound but it was a taboo to go there with foreign kegs to fetch water. It was strictly clay pot or calabash. Legends have it that during the civil war many soldiers died in that stream when they went there to wash plates and basins. Stories of people who lost their lives because they ignored the taboo abound, and many evidence to support it too.

On this fateful afternoon there was no water at home. This was about 22years ago. I took my plastic bucket to go and fetch water. When I stepped outside, a thought entered me. How could I start going to a far stream to fetch water under this hot sun while I could just go down to this stream few meters from here? I took the bold step and did it. While on the way, I saw different kinds of snakes with different colors and designs. I wasn't deterred. After fetching water at the stream no one agreed to help me carry my bucket on my head. Notwithstanding, I fetched the water and went home. I went back again and again for four times.

That evening, our house was like house of mourning. Everyone came and were advising my father to go and effect cleansing on my behalf. My father who hated fetishes bluntly refused. He told them that nothing will happen to me but even if anything happens, he has many children. He advised me to stop going against tradition but nothing else.


What I want you to learn from this story is that I am very daring. While in the village, others go to farm in the morning but I go at midnight alone. I meet different kinds of things on my way. I will be walking and overhear people talking while I am very sure that I am the only person on the whole road. I will just point my torch down and be walking. When I get there they will just keep quiet and some I will feel goosebumps. The only time I was really scared to my bone marrow was when I bumped into a herd of wild pigs.

I read animal farm about 18 years ago. Stop thinking that I am a coward. But you have to convince me that you don't have any ulterior motive with this your movement. It's easy to mislead people once you appeal to their emotions. It's very easy to get followers. Some come with the promise of freedom, that is how many people are lured into cultism. Some come with the promise of power and wealth. Before you know it, many people are trapped in occult. For you, I can deduce that you were, and maybe still a cult leader who have used used crude methods to achieve your aim and may even have wasted lives. (don't get me wrong, I'm not judging you. Besides you've made it clear that your moral compass does not tally with those of programmed humans). But what I'm saying is that I need a lot of convincing to key into your ideology.
