SENATOR DINO MELAYE AFTER 10 ROUNDS WITH IYA JAGABAN ![]() https://i.imgur.com/dZQhOtu.jpg |
So yesterday night, I saw a thread here on Nairaland titled "Nigeria has finished me" and in this thread the OP went on a justified rant on how things are difficult in the country and he talked about the hardship the Average Nigerian has to go through everyday! For once I had a clear picture of the present state of the country, I mean I already knew the country was in a mess but after going through that thread yesterday, I was shocked! The situation is awful, I mean we are like a few steps away from turning into Somalia or Zimbabwe. There were like 45 pages of people begging for 5,000 and you could tell most of these people were DESPERATELY in need of this money, you could feel their pain as they wrote and while I appreciate the kind gesture of the likes of ymodulus etc. Nigerians have to ask themselves, is this really the way we want to go? is there REALLY a solution or are we just going to keep lying to ourselves with the whole "e go beta" saying ? Some of us here are ready to die for PDP, while some would say APC and the present government can do no wrong, Now I know that some of these "pro pdp - pro apc" folks here on Nairaland are actually doing this for some $$$, however there are some that have not and would not ever benefit anything from PDP or APC and yet they are willing to die for the cause of some rich billionaire who doesn't give a damn about you present situation. These ones are willing to die for Igbo vs Yoruba or Yoruba vs SS, etc but are not ready to stand up and fight for what belongs to them. Nigerian youths were promised capital for their start ups in the past administration (YOUWIN comes to mind), however can any Nigerian say that they have seen ANY benefactor of this scheme or should I say scam, The present day administration capitalised on how impoverished and gullible the average Nigrian youth is and promised them heaven and earth, promised them 2million jobs and 5,000 monthly allowance. A rational thinking person would have asked HOW do you intend to do this BUT NOOOOOOOO...The Nigerian youth went ahead to empower these politicians and today we have people asking for help online. Nigerians need to ask themselves, when are we going to take a STAND for once and take what belongs to you. STOP BELIEVING these criminals called politicians and fight what is yours, don't say "Oh so now that a member of my tribe is in Aso rock, that's when you want us to protest ", Ask yourself this question, Have you ever benefited from THAT member of YOUR tribe in Aso rock ? Yesterday Igbo's, South South natives, Yorubas, Hausa's , Idoma's, Efik's etc where all asking for help on that thread but we have the likes of the Uba's, Otedola's, Adenuga's, Dangote's, Ibru's etc sitting on top of BILLIONS. If these people haven't helped you then why would your "tribesman" in Aso rock help you? Ymodulus, once again more grease to your elbows, you would never lack - and I think all our MEGA BILLIONAIRE religious leaders should take a queue from what you did yesterday, The power to help alleviate poverty is in the hands of Nigerians but yet we keep running after all these politicians and greedy religious leaders like dumb people. You can either stand there and ask for help or demand what is yours. The patient dog eats the fatest bone ...................but that's because the wild aggressive dog has already cleaned up the meat that used to be on the bone. So, now if you have received your 5k from the FG click like, but if you received yours from Ymodulus and other good guys, click share. |

greggng:18 hours of Light!! is that so? Abeg GTFO you useless zombie puppet. People are here complaining about issues that affect their everyday life and this im.becile is here trying to promote political propaganda, you and your minister of darkness can shove it up where the sun doesn't shine. |
Last words- While I appreciate the generosity shown on this thread, I have to ask the recipients of these 5k something. After these funds get used up (and they will) , then what next? would you just wait for another good Samaritan to come around to help you again? I am not trying to insult anyone but all I am saying is - enough is enough. Nigerian's should rise up and destroy this corrupt system that is running this country to the ground. Topple each and every one of them - regardless of their political party logos or names, they are ALL THE SAME! They enrich their children and leave the masses who voted them in impoverished. Are we going to take what belongs to us or are we just going to fold our hands and watch on the sidelines ? Think about it, Good night. |
safarigirl:They call it wailing, I call it speaking out!!! The only thing a man has is present day Nigeria is his voice and his opinion. The moment you sell that away to a politician you are doomed. A lot of Nigerians are learning the hard way. I personally would rather see a total uprising from the masses. |
This thread is an indication that Nigeria is a failed state and the government has totally failed the people. Someone should please draw the attention of our pretentious, biased media outlets to this thread, let them see what the average Nigerian has been reduced to. No matter how the media houses try to paint a false image of this nation, the truth would always find a way out either through public opinion or public outcry. @OP thank you for creating this thread, more grease to your elbow for this. A time is coming when Nigerians would have to raise up and forcefully take what is theirs. Enough of these false promises, The government should be afraid of the people, not the other way round. Herdsmen from different parts of Nigeria have stated that nobody can stop them from grazing their cattle in any part of the country, especially in the south. They described such restriction as unconstitutional. The nomads, who spoke to SUNDAY PUNCH under the auspices of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association, dismissed the ultimatums given by different groups for the herdsmen to vacate the southern part of the country. This is despite the fact that groups, including foremost Yoruba farmers’ pressure group and ethnic militia, Agbekoya Farmers Association of Nigeria in the South-West; the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (South-East); the Independent Peoples of Biafra (South-East); and some ex-Niger Delta militants in the South-South, stated their readiness to defend their territories should herdsmen attack their communities again. Suspected Fulani herdsmen, who grazed their cattle from the northern part of the country to the southern part, had been accused of killing, raping and robbing members of their host communities. The Enugu incident, where several lives were lost, was the most recent. But the herdsmen, in separate interviews with our correspondents on Saturday, noted that it was wrong for people to restrict their movement as the constitution guaranteed their movement into any part of the country. The Chairman, Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association, Plateau State, Mr. Nuru Abdullahi, said nobody could deprive Fulani herdsmen of their constitutional right of free movement. Abdullahi said, “Why would they ask them not to go to the southern part of the country? It is their constitutional right to move freely as guaranteed by the laws of the land. What the various governments and security agencies should do is to prevent attacks and counter-attacks and such things that breed violence like cattle rustling and trespassing into farmlands. “The Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria guarantees freedom of movement for every citizen of the country; this includes the right to live, work and carry out any legitimate activity in any part of the country. If and when you breach this freedom, then, the law should deal with you. So, asking anybody not to go to any part of the country is unconstitutional.” Also, the Chairman, MCBAN, North-West Zone, Mr. Ardo Ahmadu Suleiman, warned against criminalising all Fulani herdsmen over the attacks. He said, “We are law abiding citizens of Nigeria. The constitution forbids anybody or group from banning anybody’s movement from one part of the country to another. We have been staying peacefully with tribes across the country for ages. Therefore, for anyone to say he wants to ban Fulani from entering their land is uncalled for.” However, several socio-cultural and militia groups in the southern part of the country on Saturday stated their readiness to reject the invasion of their communities by Fulani herdsmen. Agbekoya gave the Federal Government a 14-day ultimatum to stop the incessant attacks by suspected Fulani herdsmen on farmers in Yorubaland even as it vowed to retaliate any attack on its members. The position of the group was made known by its National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Olatunji Bandele, in a telephone interview with one of our correspondents on Saturday. According to Bandele, if the Federal Government fails to act decisively within the stipulated time, the Agbekoya will have to defend its people with whatever means at its disposal. Bandele said the association held an emergency meeting last Thursday where it discussed the incessant onslaught by Fulani herdsmen against Yoruba farmers, especially in the Oke Ogun area of Oyo State. He stated that if the situation was not brought under control, the group would “close down all markets in the South West; make sure that Fulani herdsmen do not enter any village in Yoruba land with their cows. And if they dare enter, they are doing it at their own risk. “We have alerted Agbekoya South West warriors across Yorubaland to be battle ready in case the Fulani herdsmen do not heed our warning because this thing has continued for the past four to five years now.” Bandele added, “We have other security measures that we are taking but keeping to ourselves. If the Fulani herdsmen failed to heed our warning and they dare enter Yorubaland, they will be doing so at their own risk. We are waiting for the Federal Government to take decisive action.” The deadline, he added, started to read from last Thursday. http://www.punchng.com/no-one-can-stop-us-grazing-south-fulani-herdsmen/ other news: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/05/nnamdi-kanu-predicted-fulani-herdsmen-impunity-says-ipob/ |
A joint statement made by JNI!!! Do you guys see what's going on here? now they are trying to throw religion into this Fulani mess, by so doing they would create a huge dilemma. In the next few days, if a region decides to defend itself against Fulani invasion, someone in the north would claim it is an attack on a particular religion. I laugh at how the northerners use religion to hide their evil acts. SE/SS governors need to : 1.push for their respective state houses and reps members to sign a land protection act banning the activities of Fulani herdsmen 2. Create an armed vigilante force. 3. Create an armed border patrol force to watch over those communities sharing borders with Northern States. These vigilante and border patrol force should totally exclude any one from the Nigerian police force and the Nigerian Military. These organizations have shown time and again that their allegiance lies with the North and not the Federal republic of Nigeria. |
cool story, now please go to sleep |
Ezenwammadu:GBAM!!!!! that's all we need, no time for too much talk |
How about we ban the Fulani herdsmen from moving around with AK47's ? How about we ban the herdsmen from unlawfully crossing into other states? |
