Choir Mistress And Another Female Church Member Held Me As Pastor Of A Church Raped Me - Victim

Twenty One Year Old Lady has reported to Centre For Basic Rights Protection And Accountability Campaign how a Choir mistress and a Female Church member held her while the Pastor of a new generation church in Port Harcourt, Rivers, Nigeria raped her violently and gave her substance suspected to be 'juju' after the incident to swear that she will not tell anybody.

We shall expedite action to ensure the matter is investigated and if the Pastor is found culpable, he will be made to face the law.

Police Investigates Rivers Pastor On Alleged Rape Of 20 Year Old Girl

The Rivers State Police Command has disclosed that the command is investigating a Port Harcourt based Pastor in connection to allegation of rape of a twenty year old girl.
According to Rythm 93.7FM 6PM news on Wednesday 14, July 2021, the spokesperson of the command, SP Nnamdi Omoni said the investigation followed a petition by a human rights .

A member of the human rights advocacy group,Centre for Basic Rights Protection and Accountability Campaign,Barrister Festus Bonwin said the group wrote the petition to demand for an investigation into the allegation made against the Pastor.

Bonwin said the group is also asking for adequate Police protection for the alleged 20 year old victim.

In the meantime the 20 year old girl in an interview alleged that Pastor Tony Daniel of Jesus Alive Word Refiners International Church raped her when she was invited by the Pastor for settlement of issues she is having with the Pastor's wife.

The Pastor's wife in her response said it is a frame up. That they told the alleged rape victim to pay for light bill she refused and threatened to go to any length to deal with them.

Wazobia 94.1 FM News had reported on March 19,2020 last year that Pastor Daniel was detained at Azikiwe Divisional Police headquarters following a complaint by one Mr Ndidi Austin who alleged he caught the Pastor with his wife in a hotel.
Pastor Daniel had also denied the allegation.

The Niger State Police Command has arrested sixteen suspected cultists in Lapai Local Government Area of the state.

Spokesperson of the command, DSP Wasiu Abiodun, who disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday, July 13, said the suspected members of cult group were arrested at Gwaranyo lodge, state low cost area of Lapai while conducting their annual 7/7 celebration.

"On 07/07/2021 at about 2100hrs, acting on a credible intelligence, police operatives attached to Lapai Division arrested the following suspects, Joseph Biyama, 22, Adewale Sunday, 28, Ahmed Ahmed, 23, Victor Dada, 23, Kazeem Yahaya, 26, Emmanuel Ogbadu, 24, and Shittu Babatunde, 23, all students."

Others are Mikailu Yahaya, 21, Abdullahi Mohammed,26, Shekwolo Lamech, 23, Damilola Idris, 20, Taiwo Hussaini, 25, Haruna Lanre, 24, Saheed Saheed, 28, all graduates. John Simeon, 23, Agbonika Ojoma, 24, both are non-students but of IBB University Lapai.

The statement says "they were arrested for being suspected members of cult group at Gwaranyo lodge, state low cost area of Lapai while conducting their annual celebration of 7th July (7/7) in a room rented by Mikailu Yahaya, a student of IBBU Lapai residing off campus who just finished writing his final exams on 30th June, 2021."

"Seven of the suspects arrested are still students of IBBU Lapai, seven others claimed to have graduated from the same school while the remaining two are non-students."

Items recovered during the celebration and initiation ceremony includes, one small axe, one Army trouser, an Army face cap, one pot soaked with dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp, one fifteen litres jerrican containing concoction suspected to have been mixed with illicit drugs, two bottles of castello alcoholic drink, one MP3 radio player.

"However, the case is under investigation while suspects will be arraigned in court for prosecution as soon as investigation is concluded. Therefore, parents/guardians are advised to always warn and monitor thier wards activities both at home and school to avoid peer group influence into unlawful association." the PPRO added.

Gunmen have killed a student of the Delta State University (DELSU), Department of Medical Biochemistry, Abraka, Stephen Odje, and abducted two others.

This is just as the Student Union Government of the institution has issued a 24-hour ultimatum to police and other security agents to rescue the abducted students or brace for students unrest in the state.

Young Odje was reportedly killed and two others abducted in a car while on their way to resume the 2020/2021 academic session.

A student who pleaded anonymity told our reporter that the deceased was killed at Oria, a community near Abraka, the university community.

The two abducted students were identified as Mr Divine Omajuwa and Miss Hamza Hussiena Jennifer of the departments of Geology and Pharmacology.

Another student said: “What I heard was that they were going to school when they were held at Eku by the gunmen. There were three people in the vehicle, the one that was killed is a cousin to the owner of the car while the lady is his (deceased) girlfriend.”

Reacting, the university management, which confirmed the incident, condemned the killing and the abduction.

In a statement signed by the Dean, Students’ Affairs, Professor Chukwujindu Iwegbue, the management, with the family of the deceased, called on the relevant security agencies to fish out the assailants and ensure the safe rescue of the abducted victims.

Meanwhile, the Student Union Government, DELSU, Abraka, has agonised over the killing and abduction.

In a statement signed by the President, Comrade Mukolo Ogelenya Solomon, the students deplored the precarious state of students in the hands of murderous hoodlums.

“It is also painful to the entire student body that when such incidents occur, law enforcement agencies within and around the state have not done enough to bring the perpetrators to book.

“The incident may lead to a breakdown of law and order within Abraka and its environs and the entire state in general if urgent steps are not taken to effect the immediate and unconditional release of the kidnapped victims,” they warned.

When contacted, Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Bright Edafe, who confirmed the incident to our reporter, said the Police Command was all out to rescue the abducted students as well as arrest the hoodlums.
