A Nigerian pilgrim, Aisha Ahmed died in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, following an undisclosed illness.

Ahmed, from Keffi Local Government Area of Nasarawa state, died on Wednesday, June 29, after a brief illness according to Idris Al-Makura, Executive Secretary, Nasarawa State Muslim Pilgrim Welfare.

No fewer than five persons have been confirmed dead as a bus caught fire while in motion along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

DAILY POST reports that the crash occurred at about 08:38am on Wednesday, opposite Tabiorah Church, Ogere, Ogun State.

At the time of the incident, the Toyota Hiace bus, marked KAA601XA, had 14 persons on board – seven men, four women, a boy and two girls.

The Ogun State spokesperson of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Florence Okpe, disclosed that ”the suspected cause of the lone crash was mechanical deficiency which resulted to fire outbreak while the vehicle was still on motion.”

Okpe said the deceased victims include two male adults, one female adults and two girls.

She added that nine persons – five male adults, three female adults and a boy sustained injuries.

The injured victims were taken to Victory Hospital, Ogere, while the corpses were deposited at FOS Mogue in Ipara, Okpe disclosed.

“The Sector Commander is deeply pained by the unfortunate incident and wishes the families of the deceased the strength to bear their losses.

“He also advised motorists to always put their vehicles in good condition before planning for any trip,” Okpe said.

Former Anambra State Governor and Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has expressed gratitude to the young man who carved a photo of him on his head to show his support for him ahead of the 2023 presidential election.

In The Post he made on his Verified Twitter handle, Peter Obi shared a video of the young man, with the caption – “Thank you all for all you do.”

In The Viral Video, As Sighted By , The barber was seen as he carved the face of Peter Obi on the young man’s head, with the inscription – “Peter Obi 2023.”

As Soon as Peter Obi made the post, many took to the comments section to express their support for him, and also appreciate him for acknowledging the support that the youths are giving him.

Since Peter Obi declared his intention to join the 2023 presidential race, he has become quite popular among Nigerian youths. Many youths say that the country needs a young leader who will come into power and understand the plight and suffering of the youths, and that Peter Obi is the right choice.

But there have also been doubts in some quarters on whether his party, Labour Party, has what it takes to get him into Aso Rock Next Year.

Filmmaker and husband of actress, Chacha Eke, Austin Faani has finally spoken out on his alleged marital crisis, Reports.

Reported that Chacha Eke shocked her numerous fans when she announced via on her verified Instagram page that she had left her husband. The actress cited numerous reasons she left, which included abuse.

Detailing why she left her marriage, Chacha Eke said she would quit while she was still alive than leave as a corpse. She also claimed she didn’t want to die or go inexplicably missing.

Speaking further on her separation, Chacha Eke claimed she had released some evidence such as videos, voice notes, and photos to the police force, her lawyers and the media in case things went south. Read more here.

Hours after her post, Austin Faani took to his Instagram page to refute her claims of domestic violence.

He affirmed that he isn’t a violent person as he detest violence in any form.

He reiterated that he has never raised his hands on any woman in his life including his wife.

The father of four noted how everyone who are close to the case know the truth, which he wouldn’t divulge.

Austin Faani added that the person who started the talk will in due time continue to talk.

“I am not a violent person. Personally, I detest violence in any form. I have never raised any hand in any woman in my life including my wife. Everyone close to this case knows the absolute truth and it is not in my place to divulge it, the one person who started the talk will in due time continue to talk. Let light lead”.

Chacha Eke, Nollywood Actress, has announced the end of her marriage with Austin Faani.

Chacha made this known in a post on her Instagram page.

The Movie Star said she was moving on with her life, adding that she does not want to die or go “missing” while living in her paradise.

The Actress, who had in 2020 said she was diagnosed with “Bipolar disorder when reports of her marriage crisis went viral, apologized for “living a lie these past years.”

”Many have died pretending all is well whilst wishing, hoping and praying for a better tomorrow.

“For the 2nd time in 2years, I am here again on social media boldly declaring that I am done with my marriage. My long overdue/relentless stance on this is of course no news to Austin Faani, the doctors and my parents.

“If push comes to shove & suddenly I am incommunicado, my lawyers, the welfare department and the Nigerian police force have my testimonials in recorded video clips/statements set for public release on all social media apps and national newspapers.“

An Ilorin Magistrate’s Court has remanded a 23-year-old student of the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, Babatunde Lekan, for allegedly knocking down one Police Inspector Isaac Osayintuyi.

Police information revealed that the defendant (Lekan) allegedly knocked down the policeman with his Camry car along Ilorin/Omu-Aran highway.

He reportedly ran away to remove his number plate and the artificial tinted leather on the windshield.

Police information also revealed that the inspector, who was immediately rushed to a private hospital in Omu Aran for medical attention, was later certified dead.

Reports reaching DAILY POST indicated that preliminary investigation led to the arrest of the defendant.

Magistrate Usman Zainab, who presided on the matter, ordered Lekan’s remand till July 18, 2022, after considering the prayers of the prosecutor, Innocent Owoola for the remand of the suspect.
