Foreign Affairs › Re: Netanyahu Compares Jesus With Genghis Khan, Sparks Outrage by Mrdellychy: 6:02pm On Mar 21 |
Sangoamadioha1: Then why did Jesus say turn the other cheek when you are slapped. My argument is if you profess Jesus Christ then adhere to his teachings or do your thing and stop hiding under the banner of Christianity. A non Christian (Ghandi) even practiced this with his non violent approach to provocation than the so called Christians. Its obvious you are one of thos who read bible superficially like novel! If you are truly a Christian, I pray for you for the spirit of discernment to know when to shealth your sword (as in turning the other cheeks) in the face of mild provocation and when to use your sword (symbolic means of self defense) in the face of potential harm to your life. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Netanyahu Compares Jesus With Genghis Khan, Sparks Outrage by Mrdellychy: 3:49pm On Mar 21 |
Sangoamadioha1: Analyzed by chatgpt👇
Fulfillment of Prophecy: The very next verse (Luke 22:37) provides crucial context: Jesus says He must be "numbered with the transgressors". Having a few swords among the group would help cast them as revolutionaries, justifying His arrest and fulfilling Isaiah’s prophecy.
"It is Enough": When the disciples quickly produce two swords in verse 38, Jesus responds, "That is enough". Many interpret this as Jesus ending the conversation, possibly in frustration because they were taking Him too literally—two swords would never be enough for eleven men to fight an army.
A Call to Peace: The non-violent interpretation is reinforced later in the chapter (Luke 22:50-51) when Peter actually uses a sword to strike a servant, and Jesus rebukes him, saying "No more of this!" and healing the man. You don't need artificial knowledge to explain the Bible pls ; The Bible is not a novel! The sword in the text quoted by SpencerForbes is contextual and symbolical... talking about self defense. Its not a crime for christians to defend themselves when we have the advantage to do so. I was once attacked by fulani herdsmen in my farm but for the little knowledge of martial arts, i beat and disarmed one of them unhurt. If a Christian sister is about to be raped and she has access to pepper spray or a short 2by2, or any object that can be used for self defence, she is free to use it...being a Christian does not mean we should die like chicken. Shalom! |
Agriculture › Re: New Journey Winfarms Goes To IWO by Mrdellychy: 3:55pm On Mar 20 |
willybaby: Good afternoon everyone, how goes the Sunday, to my fellow farmers it's another week to plan and prepare for the rains.
Where will you farm ? how will you farm ? what will you farm ? What price will you sell ?
Very important questions all farmers bear in mind this year, even as we head into the bushes.
For question number one the where, I believe I have solved that part by japa to Iwo osun states. I now work with Surging Momentum Foods. Our Lands are private clusters bulldozed in clusters of varying acreages totaling 5000acres. Most of the land fencing has been done and the host community is multi ethnic and religious. Surging Momentum has its own private Dam where tilapia, catfish, mudfish and various varieties are breed naturally and harvested during the dry season. Harvest began November and will be carried out till rain resumes and the dam is restocked. Tons of fish is harvested daily. Yes there are cows here but grazing field has been allocated to in house cattles and partners. I will hire land from surging Momentum.
How will you farm ? Surging Momentum has a fleet of tractors and combine harvester's ready and available to carry out work anywhere in the south West of Nigeria but as for me willy, I will just pay per acre and carry out work slow and steady acre by acre as we try once again to make money this year so we can be debt free. Missing an independent winfarms already Finally, you relocated from Benue to SW! You are welcome bro. I think the only advantage here in SW over the Benue is the availability of markets. Benue has the land and the cheap manpower. I wl love to come see how the dam works and its architecture. |

DoctorAyukebot: Cameroon has an English speaking minority that used go be administered by the British as part of Nigeria. That was before independence in the 60's. If you have heard of towns like Bamenda, Mamfe, Kumba, Buea, those are English speaking areas. We make up about a fifth of the population.. That's interesting to know. Thanks for the enlightenment. |

Zocalite: Are you the one that want to bring them from their country?
What work will they be doing on the farm?
How many are they?
9 acres isn't even much like that
There are many Cotonou people already residing in nigeria that do job or labour monthly
Do your calculations Sha it's not by size o. I dont know your yardstick for grading 9 acres as "not much". Must people buy 100s of acres before hitting it big? Smart people are making millions from just 1 plot of land planting just veggies. Even 9 acres of cash crops such as palm, plantain or cocoa can not still be considered to be a small farm. |

2Minuteswoman: I understand what you’re saying, and I agree the Cotonou guys are more disciplined. That’s not even the issue. My concern is that most of them don’t stay beyond one season. By the following year, they’re usually back in their country, and I don’t want to be restarting labour every year . The Middle Belt option wasn’t really an option for me at all. From what I’ve seen, and from people close to me, the level of monitoring required is just too much. If you’re not on ground almost all the time, it becomes risky. The issue for me is continuity...
Thanks for your Input I am just getting your point. If it's that one, just forget it...you can't get. Abi you no wan make man pikin labour hard, cash out for December and travel go village go show off for Christmas/yuletide? |
Agriculture › Re: Farm Labourers Asking For Bike As Compensation. by Mrdellychy: 10:38pm On Feb 09*. Modified: 11:34pm On Feb 09 |
2Minuteswoman: Yes, you’re right. I heard they came from Cotonou, and most likely won’t even stay up to a year. After a year, I’ll probably start looking for another labourer. It doesn’t really make sense though. Its not very true...the foreigners are more reliable and responsible than the naija guys from d middle belt. They normally work from Feb to like 1st week of Dec. Once they can wait and work for about 3 months, they will definitely wait to the end for their bike(Boxer). They started this practice ever since bike was been sold for 100 to 200k , but since the devaluation of naira, bikes jump to 1M plus. That will be like 120k per month for the 10 months per head excluding feeding and accommodation. So, it all depends on your ROI...if your net returns will be in 8digits or plus (10M, 20M,100M), you can try them out. I may agree with the poster that said the the current demand for bike seems unrealistic for most farmers going by the current rates of farm produce. Majority of those middle belt/northen workers are crooks, they can ruin your investment except you are on ground 24/7 to giv them close monitoring...i know someone who install cameras in his farm to curtail their excesses and even caught one that wanted to run away and he quickly called the neighbours to stop him. If you are not going to be on ground often and you can afford the Cotonou guys, go for them...they are more reliable. Wish you the very best madam. |

I agree with the fact that he's the least talented out of the three. Naturally, one would expect a better synergy on stage between tuface and blackface cos both are same tribesmen. I hope you know the idoma language/slang influenced tuface and blackface songs a lot , and Faze coming from a different tribal background (though he speaks little idoma) may not be able to key in like the duo. Also everyone with his own measure of potential. Some are more active behind the scene. Faze is from a wealthy background, a festac guy. I learnt he was the one sheltering and housing the team in the days of their little beginning. I hope you understand what it takes to be saddled with the financial responsibility of others. |

EduBrazil1991: I have over 13,000 matured cassava stands presently in Owo, Ondo state. Not TME419 variety though.
I don't want to sell the tubers, I would prefer turning it to Garri as that will generate more profit.
Funds for setting up a a garri processing factory is my biggest challenge now.
I have tried getting soft loan from Wema, Jaiz bank and none went through.
I'm supposed to start harvesting by first week of July.
I'm even open for partnership Chief, stop giving yourself unnecessary headache over loan or partnership. 13k stands, that should be less than 3 acres. That's too small to be looking for loan/partnership to set up a factory. The returns will be too small compared to the cost of setting up a factory. You can only proceed with the factory project if you hav money of your own. Instead of giving yourself sleepless night over loan acquisition or partnership stress, I will advise you sell the raw tuber for now or engage some locals to help with the processing into garri. There are some centres where those locals will grind, peel and fry for you. Then, use the proceeds to expand gradually by getting some basic machines/equipment little by little. By the time you process and sell the produce from the 2nd batch, you should be able to hav funds to set up a mini mechanized cassava factory. I was a bit familiar with that town in those days. Matna foods is there to buy tubers. I also know some local markets for both tuber and garri as people used to come from within and outside the state for patronage. |

Agriculture › Re: Step By Step Improve Way Of Cultivating TOMATOES by Mrdellychy: 9:32pm On May 04, 2025 |
Lanjonath: It definitely isn't cheap because even the RZ tomatoes aren't cheap seedforth the guys that bring in RZ seeds also sell rootstock (something they won't do if they didn't have customers who were buying, but you usually have to pre-order).
But leave the farmer who's still trapped with last decades knowledge to wallow in his lack of knowledge. Because you don't see every Tom, Dick and Harry doing something doesn't mean it isn't being done. I know 3 farmers who average 3.8kg+ per plant with zero BW incidents and there's also a method that was shared by Pistota on how to crash the price of tomato rootstock completely (but you need to learn to crawl before you learn to run) and I know someone who's already doing this.
But if you decide to do Rambo or Platinum, they're also good cultivars like I said earlier. I do not outrightly condemn grafting, the guy is a newbie and he has already transplanted, grafting is not an option for him at that stage, I only suggested options with which he can pick from to manage his crop since he has transplanted. I don't do grafting nor use grafted seedlings and I will never do. I have better cultivars with better yield ( even more than double the yield of what you quoted above) and I have no worry about BW. |
Agriculture › Re: Step By Step Improve Way Of Cultivating TOMATOES by Mrdellychy: 4:59pm On May 03, 2025 |
Jaywrld: Is the rootstock expensive and how do I get it Lol, pls ignore him. The grafting option is not for you or are you into research and development? (Maybe those growing perennial crops may find it useful). You should hav asked him to name just only one tomato rootstock that can be grafted and give 99% BW resistant cultivar as he claimed. Even the Almighty research and development firms like East-west seed, technisem, etc...the best they can offer is 50% (intermediate) BW resistance cultivar. |

Pls 🙏 enlighten me on the managerial practices it woild be nice to learn from someone like you considering you farm the same cultivar in the same region as me
I need to know how to manage my crops come the bacterial wilt, so as to not lose my investment 1. Biological method. This involves the use of beneficial microorganisms to control/prevent disease in your farm. You can get them online under diff trademarks. I learnt this from emmaachile. 2.chemical method. a. Treating your soil with copper based fungicide can also suppress BW b. Treating your soil with velum prime. 3. Conventional method. a. Raising your soil pH by applying agricultural lime can suppress their activity b. Adding organic matters to your soil can also minimize their effects. c. Prevent waterlogging/flooding by creating avenue for free flow of erosion during rainfall. Sometimes, I deliberately cut my ridges in area proned to waterlogging for water to waka pass . |
