In addition dont forget to fix TPS fault. As this will affect your diagnosis is the PCM doesn't know the position of the throttle opening.
Also Check the Operation of injector for cylinder one.
Confirm its not stuck open probably a short causing it to constantly spray fuel there-by causing cylinder wash which will the result in worn piston ring/wall.
If its not the above, since you have confirmed low
to no compression on cylinder one, next is to find out if its a compression leak to crankcase or via a broken valve seal.
Alright. I will check that out.

No compression, either head gasket or worn out cylinder failure or stuck valve.
I will give update if the owner decides to go ahead with the Job.

You have extreme case of dead hole on cylinder one which was the reason for the cylnder soaking fuel as no compression power on that cylinder to ignite air fuel mixture .
Do a further test (vacuum intake test , compression wet test, leakdown test ) to eliminate other variable eg to confirm if u are dealing with valve leak, cylinder bore wash or piston rings issue .
I don't think this is head gasket issue because this a classical single cylinder dead misfire. For head gasket issue ,the low compression will hold more than 1 cylinder.
Love to see that we are stepping up our diagnostics game .Nice one cool
I doubt if it's headgasket because if it was, at least there should a little compression. Valve leak? To cause zero compression it ought to be a big leak. I will do a compression wet test on Monday. I don't have a leak down tester for now.

A 2012 hyundai was brought to the today. The car has a serious vibration and inability to not idle unless you step on the throttle pedal. According to him, Previous mechanic have changed the four spark plugs, swapped the ignition coils and serviced the injector nozzles. On second check, cylinder 1 was just soaking fuel.

I scanned the car with following codes. Surprisingly No code pointing exclusively to cylinder 1.

The previous mechanic have removed a lot of connectors while the car was running. I had to clear the code to see which comes back.

Live data stream shows throttle position sensor was at 0% with the leg of the throttle pedal

I managed to drive the car a little one pending code came back
P0011 '= A' Camshaft
Position Timing Over-Advanced
Or System Performance Bank 1

I decided to check the compression on the four cylinder. Surprisingly cylinder one has zero compression

What must has likely gone wrong in cylinder 1?

I'm yet to open the engine. Customer has asked to discontinue the repair while he source for funds.

As promised. Here's the final outcome.
I wasn't able to get a blue coated polarizer, a guy that does glass tinting that I asked said it only comes in black shade and any other coloured one would most likely have come with the vehicle. Dunno how true that it.

Anyway I used the black shade one and now my speedometer and gauges are clearly visible although not producing the original blue background.
Nice one. You really did a good job.

Hello House.

I have been using toyota corolla 2003 for a while now with ni any engine problems. Toward the ending of Feb, the hose of my auto engine fuild got scratched by one of the pulley and the oil wasted away. I just stop to buy petrol and to move was difficult, I came down to check I saw oil every where and Mechanics in d fuel station helped me to change the hose and asked me to buy this attached for auto gear fluid.

Since then have been using the car without problems. Since lockdown, I have not been going far. Today I went far, I noticed when slowed down for traffic light, the car won't pick quickly, I will accelerate down and move slowly b4 the accelerator read up quickly by moving d car at hight speed and I will release my leg to go minimum.

Please what can be the issue. Tanks
IF am correct, what leaked out that time was your power steering oil. It has nothing to do with your current problem.

When you try to accelerate, do the Rpm move up or just stagnant?

No be small thing o...I had to rip out the stereo set, tachometer cover before I can get to the screws that hold the speedometer cluster cover. I guess it's how much I hate not having that background look that pushed me on and I equally used the opportunity to clean all my A/C air vent.
As for getting the overlay replacement I have asked my brother to help me ask his friend that deals in auto parts but if I can get it then I'll probably use a blue tint...sense will not kill me. Lolz

I like your enthusiasm.

Goodluck. No forget to update the final outcome.

So I decided to follow the YouTube video I watched and pry open my dashboard to get to the speedometer. Here's what I noticed after opening the speedometer, the led is actually white and the blue backlight is actually an overlay(i confirmed this on some Civic forum too)on the LCD screen.
In my case it seems that overlay has been burnt maybe by heat and then I think it's been changed before cos it's not blue but black or maybe the heat burn made it look black.
Wow! You really tried. So the problem is just the overlay that gives it the blue colour? The problem now is if you will be able to see a replacement.

1. Okay will try to replace the steering pump

2. I didn't check the fuel pressure before replacing but, I changed both the filter and the pump

3. I will scan the engine immediately after this lockdown

4. I will replace that too.

Thank you very much
You are welcome.

Hello guys,
I drive Honda pilot 04, and I have a series of issues with it now
1. When on low speed, the steering becomes very hard to turn until I rev a little bit before it goes fine.
2. When driving atimes, I noticed it sometimes just looses thrust especially when it's on low fuel ( I have replaced the fuel pump and no difference)
3. Hard starting is getting worse
4. I noticed there is a oil leakage between the gearbox and the engine block.
I don't know if anybody here had experienced such before and how they went about fixing it.
And like how much is the front bumper for pilot 04 nowhuh
1. Your steering pump is weak.

2. Did you check fuel pressure before replacing pump? Did you change both filter and pump or just the pump? Did you scan to see if there is a code?

3. This is likely related to number 2

4. The oil seal between your gear box and engine is bad.

I just watched a YouTube video and it's soldered although the guy in the video was able to change and re-solder but I guess it's not for someone who's not a professional. Also another video on the process of remove the dashboard to be able to access the speedometer looks tedious and complicated. It's looks like removing the whole front compartment from the driver side to the stereo and A/C side.

I just checked your signature and seems you are in PH...that's a long way from here. Guess I'll just stick to displaying the speedometer reading on my stereo display, that's still manageable.
Alright then.

There hasn't been harmattan in Lagos for as long as i can remember but outside Lagos,it can really get a bit chilling during harmattan.

U hardly get sub 22 23 degrees in naija even during harmattan. If that were possible,it would be paradise over here.
You need to visit kano, jigawa and the likes in January.

Yeah it's at maximum brightness....it seems you don't understand what I'm describing. You know the display has a kind of blue background light. It's that blue background light that is not there again which now makes the display not very visible in the afternoon.
I have attached a picture below to show the blue background I'm talking of...mine is not having that blue background again
The blue bulb must have burned out.

b) it's the major shipping method used for phones aside the likes of DHL, FedEx, EMS
c)Yes, they can but I won't advise you place any order for now except you're willing to wait for more than 2months.

I repeat, this isn't a good time to order! Delivery issue might come up due to our lockdown here and it'd be unfair to open dispute cuz of that. So, wait till the govt relaxes this. You can use jumia or check Xiaomi thread store on Nairaland. Reasonably priced phones are sold there too if you're in a hurry.
Do jumia still deliver during this period?
