Goodevening everyone, my 09 civic goes off after being on for a while, sometimes it does as if it wants to go off, jerks and continues as if nothing happens, sometimes it just goes off, and then once I start it again, it comes on and moves, then happens again after like 5mins. f I allow the car to cool off for a while, it starts running smoothly as if nothing happened. My mechanic says it's the fuel pump and probably fuel filter. Please what do you guys think @ radautoworks

Scan your car immediately it happens.

You probably replaced with a defective pump. Check fuel pressure. Replace if below 44psi

Good afternoon,

A friend of mine uses Toyota corrola 2009, his radiator burst about a month ago, he managed it to mechanic (his mistake). The mechanic told him the gasket was burnt, so he changed it and the top cylinder was grinded(according to him). Fan connected to run direct.

The car last week while I was driving had its temperature to the roof(pictures attached). Noticed the water on the radiator dirty (no coolant), then mechanic asked to remove the thermostat, I allowed him(I noticed the thermostat was dirty, the mechanic said it was bad). We flushed the radiator and put clean water. I noticed the car temperature was still at the middle as though the fan wasn't connected directly. They told me it was normal (my mind wasn't settled).
He just called me now that the car is doing overheating, he had to park.

Please what could be the issue

It's unfortunate most of this mechanics don't know how the cooling system of a car operates. The only thing they know is to remove thermostat and connect fan direct.

You problem is likely a bad radiator.

Issue resolved, didn't do anything, guess the coolant was overfilled pass the level it's meant to reach so I reduced it a lil and it's been working perfectly now

Good morning, I jus changed my radiator from single to a new double cell due to leakage from the single cell radiator.
Thermostat is still intact and single fan inclusive(not connected directly) After driving the car on Saturday, Sunday morning I checked the water level in the radiator and saw the water is low, so I opened the coolant plastic and saw that the water there has overfilled more than the FULL level its meant to attain, which means that the excess of the water in the coolant plastic is meant to go back into the radiator when engine is cool and it didn't. Does that mean the car would likely overheat. Would love to hear your advise pls....When I called the mech, he said I would need to remove thermostat and connect far directly which am against.The car is a year old and it's a corolla 05 model..would love your inputs so as to take necessary precaution against the unforseen.

Have you resolved this issue? Hope you didn't go the route of removing thermostat and running fan direct.

Once my engine warms up, it will no longer rev up to 3000rpm it begins to jerk either on acceleration or park position, the car idles normally. It a Toyota Avalon 2001

If you can run a scan to check for error code.
Inspect your spark plugs, if they are ok. Check the fuel pressure.

I got my vehicle scanned and it came up with a P1659 ECTS relay malfunction off error code. basically no known symptoms while driving and would love to have this fixed. what are the possible things to look out for. 06 civic

Have the relay removed clean out the terminal then fix it back. Clear code see if it comes back.

The mechanic just worked on my break master and sov
And immediately I collected the car , the car stalls on reverse . I took it back to the mechanic and he told me that maybe it’s because the battery was removed . So the car lost its settings , that I should strive it, it will pick up
I’m suspecting he tampered with something , my car has never stopped and idled before only after giving the mechanic

Always state your car and year.

Check if he connected back the vacuum hose from the servo to the intake manifold.

Please I have ml 320 1998 model. The right side of the cylinder is not working. I have taken it to Mercedes benz specialist, he checked it by interchanging the plugs and the coils to the left side but still that right is not working. Kindly advice me on what to do

Did he check the injector nozzle? He should also check the compression across cylinders.

Hello House, I bought a tokunbo Honda CRV 2005 in december 2019, it has been serviced twice and currently due for service. I didnt get the recommended oil from the Mobil filling station on the two occassions so I bought the Mobil 1 5W30. Do I continue with this or can I still change to the 5W20 as required. Thank you.

Check if the radiator and condenser fins are clogged with dirt.

Confirm non of the fans are blowing in opposite direction. At stationary or slow moving traffic that will work, but on high way it will work against the air flow which will result to inefficient cooling.

Mrford. No. The engine is not smoking .just the quick short of oil and gasket. Do you suggest ringing the engine too?

Change top gasket and valve seals. Inspect the top, resurface if its bad.

This should solve your problem.

That will solve that. Unless your car is already smoking. In that case you will have to rebuild or replace engine.
