The man made some solid points but as usual, the government is suffering from ear problems. As for this Bishop Okonkwo, he should shut up. When Kanu threatened to kill Pastor Kumuyi if Kumuyi came for a crusade in Aba, where was this Bishop then? When Kanu threatened to bring Buhari's head to Aba, where was the hypocritical Bishop? He's in Lagos fleecing his members for money to buy jet. The Biafran issue is a valid one but it's been spearheaded by political nonentities and hypocritical fellows like Uwazuruike and Kanu. I believe the Ipob issue should have been tackled with superior ideological arguments. I met an ipob guy in the salon yesterday talking nonsense. After discussing with him for 5 minutes, he agreed with me that he was fighting a good cause in a foolish way. Government presence in this country is presently lopsided. Can you imagine that a state like Kaduna that has Nigerian Military School, Nigeria Defence Academy, Nigerian Army Depot, Ahmadu Bello University, National Teachers Institute, Federal Polytechnic Kaduna, etc, is regarded as an Educationally Less Developed State? There's a lot of injustice which time wouldn't heal but it'll only fester. We all have a date with the truth. |

Mugabe may be useless economically and politically, but he sure knows how to hold those American lunatics by the balls. Picture below is Idi Amin with some white men.

MrBigiman:Beloved, verily I say unto you, you never get better wife. She wants you to step up your wedding from 500K to 1.4M claiming you don't value her if you do it less than 1.4. Extravagance is not how much you spend but how much is left after spending. She's making buying a car a pre-requisite for marrying you? There's nothing you'll ever do enough to satisfy that kind of woman. I honestly don't envy you right now. You may want to argue with me cos you're in love but I can assure you, it takes more than love to sustain a marriage. She'll be unhappy that you can't meet her conditions adequately and you'll be unhappy that your futile efforts at meeting her needs are unappreciated. |
ElChidi:I actually have 3 people who I represented and advised on student hostel developments and 2 spent below your budget and the third spent 28M. One of them who is a Nairalander spent lesser than your budget. ElChidi:It actually depends on the state in which you're based when in Nigeria. If you are based in Lagos, I don't advise you buy something in Lagos. You go to any of the neighbouring states and get an affordable plot there and put up your students hostel or buy an already developed hostel there. For example, you can go to Ogun State (there are tons of tertiary institutions there) and put up a block of students hostel there. For instance, in Funaab Abeokuta, some self contained hostels cost 150K/annum and you can get a very visible plot of land for circa 3M or lesser depending on the location. Abeokuta is close by to Lagos which is an advantage for investors resident in Lagos. You can go to inspect your development on a Saturday and be back in Lagos by noon. Also, I know that in Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife, they have their Pre-degree program outside the university campus. Individual student hostel owners give out their hostels to OAU to allocate students to such hostels and the rents are paid to the school as part of their fees. The school then pays such back to the owner of the hostel. In that same OAU, there is a build, operate and transfer arrangement where the university provides land within the school compound for investors to build and operate student hostels at the investor's cost and transfers such hostel to the school after a set period of years. Before ownership transfers to the school, management and rent collection is in the hands of the investor. Rents in these hostels are around 150k. ElChidi:Well, if you consider areas outside Lagos probably particularly University communities in the SW and SE, you would be able to get student hostels for sale at half of your budget. In all, be prepared for extensive due diligence before investing and maximum supervision after investing. |
When a man with money meets a man with experience, the man with experience gets the money and the man with money loses his money to acquire experience. OP, let me tell you a true story. One Nigerian abroad wanted to build a house here in Nigeria. His father in law (wife's father) offered to help. He sent money for the land, money for agents, lawyers, etc and money enough to construct a Duplex to the old man. At regular intervals, the father in law was sending pictures of the building in progress to this man. Suddenly, the man came into Nigeria and decided to see things for himself. That was then he discovered that his father in law didn't buy a square inch of land or mould a single block. Instead, his father in law used his money to collect chieftaincy title, marry new wife and lodge in hotels. If you want to invest in Nigeria, you must be ready to have trusted people supervise on your behalf. Otherwise, take a long look at your money cos you're about to lose it. My own advice is very simple: lock that money in Treasury Bills here in Nigeria for such period of time as is necessary for you to get enough information, expertise, documentation and supervision to start your business. In the alternative, the real estate sector offers great opportunities and is very lucrative which you can invest in remotely. However, you need proper verification and expert knowledge to invest. Eg, buy a parcel of land and sell it in plots, buy a run down house and build a block of flats on it to sell per flat. Also, you can build students hostels and you're assured of annual sweat free rental income. All these are what I'm actually involved in. Whatever you do, be very careful. Cheers. |
@Folakemigeh It's very easy to know if the man you're interested in is married or in a committed relationship. If he’s only available to talk or see you at odd hours, this is a major warning sign. . He never invites you to his residence. Of course, his wife would break his head - and yours. You only meet a few of his friends. You'll meet a few if his drinking buddies and his friends who cheat too. His real friends that can help you talk to him in times of disagreements won't be introduced to you. He NEVER allows you spend holidays or attend special events with him. Those are exclusively for his family, he'll always find an excuse not to spend time with you. He doesn't associate with you in public but is all over you in private. I am think this is self explanatory. When he takes you shopping or on dates, he never pays with his cards, always in cash. This is because he doesn't want to leave a paper trail. A man that told his wife he's going for prayer meeting wouldn't want her to see printed receipts from Yellow Chilli showing a meal for two. The Wedding Band Line. Check his wedding finger if you'll see a little line circling his finger. If he’s still got the wedding band line, and has never once mentioned him being married, he has something to hide. When a married man cheats, he will take his ring off, not only because he doesn’t want the visual reminder that he’s cheating while married, but also because he doesn’t want the ring to give him away. Finally, always listen to your inner instincts. They usually are correct. |
Nellychinma20:If 9 out of 10 of your friends cheat and you conclude that 95% of people cheat, it simple shows us the kind of people you move with. Mind you, the people around you define who you are. |
I'll proffer solutions and not diagnosis. So, I won't apportion blame. You and your siblings should call your mom, sit her down and talk to her in your native language. She's a very bitter woman who feels shortchanged by your dad. As for your Dad, do the same thing as above. He's a caged man who feels emasculated in that house. It's shameful for a man to be humiliated the way your Mom has been humiliating him. However, his inability to take lead his family is an issue. Talk to him, tell him his family is waiting for him to come back. Very importantly, get both of them to meet face to face. It's not for trading blames and exchanging words. Let them just apologize to each other as the first major step towards reconciliation. If possible, get pictures of both of them taken on special days before their disagreement. Tell them that there are many beautiful days ahead and you want them to share those days together. You need wisdom to handle this. |
Hope Iya Micheal was also on hand to give you the traditional aso ebi party jollof? |
OP, clear your head and chin up. Most people without HIV would die before you. Malaria kills 220% more people than HIV in Nigeria. Add Okada accidents, boko haram, etc, you have hope. A person diagnosed today has roughly the same life expectancy that a person who is HIV-negative. However, your virus does make you more susceptible to several health risks that you need to be aware of. Some of these risks include cardiovascular disease, kidney problems and bone density loss. But before you start to panic again, these issues can be prevented with the proper care. Being knowledgeable about what to look out for is the best way to ensure a long and healthy life. The term AIDS does seem scarier than HIV but the truth is many people who are living with HIV will never be diagnosed with AIDS. HIV is a virus; AIDS is just a diagnosis that a person receives once the virus reaches a certain point. When your CD4 count dips below 200 and your immune system is low enough that common illnesses can be life threatening, it is classified as AIDS. As long as you stay on your medication and keep a healthy body and mind, you can keep your CD4 count in the healthy zone and far away from the level of AIDS. And if your CD4 count is already in the danger zone, the correct medication can bring you back up to healthy levels. Your diagnosis is not the end of anything, but it may be the beginning of living a more informed and health-conscious life. |
Suleiman is correct. Such a marriage is voidable and the aggrieved party can approach the Court for annulment of the marriage. |
The basic Law of magnetism states that like magnetic poles repel each other where as unlike magnetic poles attract each other. Good girls are taught not to be cheap. But not being cheap, they misinterpret it as playing hard to get. Unfortunately, girls who play hard to get always get the worst guys. They always attract playboys, gold diggers and fvckboys. It's simply nature. Opposites attract, likes repel. That's the law of magnetism and it would always be like that. If you doubt me, let me ask u something: What's the most crazily romantic thing a guy/girl can do for you? Do U think a guy/girl who is a good church person who loves you can do that? For instance, after a date, when going home, you're supposed to be kissed at the door. Do u think a good guy knows to do that? Every lady loves mind blowing sex but you all deny it as usual. Do u think a good guy can give u the sort of raunchy sex you dream of? Every lady loves a spontaneous guy. Good guys are damn boring and not spontaneous. The truth is a bad guy knows what a good girl wants and he gives her. That makes her go crazy for him. Conversely, a bad b!tch knows what a good guy wants and gives him, that makes him go crazy over her. That is life. However, the problem girls have is that a bad boy sees you as a goal. Once he has conquered you, he moves on to the next goal. However, they're thinking of changing him to become a good guy without knowing his hidden plans. In relationships, you don't need someone like you, you need someone to compliment you. When you have someone like you, that's the no. 1 recipe for disaster. You'll always fight. This exactly is why people who marry others with similar attributes and temperaments always divorce. |
You weren't a bad boy, you were just foolish and using your past negative experiences to prevent your future positive experiences. A bad boy is a devil outside but an angel to his woman. He makes her feel secure around him and he treats her like a Queen. There's a difference between treating your lady like a Queen and treating yourself like the slave of a Queen. Do you remember what attracted that lady to you? Do them again and see her return to you. Mind you, don't go kneeling and begging, let her know that she's going to be happy and safe around you. However, if she decides to leave, it simply means she's not cut out for happiness and its going to be the biggest mistake of her life. Every girl wants a bad boy who would be good just for her. Be that guy. |
missloluwa:You obviously are a young adult old enough to know what she wants. However, I'll point out a few things to you. Firstly, men and women are wired differently. In matters of looks, money, age, education and class, men date downwards while women date upwards. Having a woman date downwards or sideways is abnormal. Hence, you're not a gold digger as your dating requirements are in accordance with nature. However, you should borrow yourself brain o! As to the most guys being in their struggling phases, you should understand that nature has made it that we all won't bloom at the same time. Some are early bloomers and others bloom late. A bungalow can be finished in a month, but when building a superstructure, one month is not enough for the foundation alone. I believe that you should look beyond the present and consider the character, prospects and personality of a man. The kind of men you seek are established men in their career, business and are comfortable. However, such men that fulfil such criteria and are suitable are within the ages of 30-40. You'll notice that such men are already married. If you wish to keep seeking made guys, I can assure you that you'll find them. My question for you is that when you find them, would you satisfy their requirements before they kick you out? You can meet young and upwardly mobile young men at various places. Polo Club on Friday evenings, Churches in Lekki, VI and Ikoyi on Sundays. Also, you can volunteer at events in the aforementioned localities. Don't snub anyone and receive all with a smile, helps to attract good people. Don't be desperate, never be snobbish; Be ready to build with your man; Don't despise the days of little beginnings; Don't always be about what you're getting from the relationship, give freely, Smile often and be prayerful. You'll meet wonderful people. I know you find a good guy so that I can wear my white Agbada with sunshades and beards in my complete Yoruba demon outfit to celebrate with you. Cheers. |
Why? Because its generally true. Now of course, big busts and bums are entirely subjective, so for this answer I’m going with the perspective that the vast majority of men agree with. Feminism, regardless of what it claims to be, is essentially a movement of angry women to get back at men who have wronged them in their lives. Show me a woman who has a grudge against men, and I’ll show you a feminist. Attractive women are generally universally treated better, so guess who gets treated not as well? You guessed it. Attractive women have much easier lives, have a plethora of mates to choose from, are treated with more respect by men, etc. In this broad frame, there is no context or reason to claim victimhood against something men have done against them. Fair or not, less desirable women (whether its weight, attractive, demeanor, etc) are… you guessed it, less desirable by men. With the exception of true lesbians and asexuals, this bothers them, and rightfully so. That frustration and anger eventually gets channeled in a way that women are best at exercising during conflict…. behind one’s back. They wouldn’t (and can’t) overtly get back at these men, so they form groups to complain and harass men and the concept of masculinity. At the same time, they manifest their own classification of victimhood (I’m an oppressed victim in this world!). The crux of the social justice movement is the victimhood badge. The females in these groups are generally followers, and will bend to satisfy the unspoken (but nonverbally implied) needs of the group. Anyone who sticks out too much in terms of ‘ attractiveness’ seen by most men will be met with jealousy and animosity by feminists. They all spot ugly haircuts, dressing like crap, black/blue lipstick,, smelly dreads, unkempt hair, etc. Remember this is mainly centered around low self-esteem. This causes men to be even more repulsed by them, which in return causes them to continue even further down this path. It further reinforces their victim hood and the warped opinion that men are bullsh1t. That is the truth, that is reality. This is the ugliness behind feminism, that is met with hostility whenever exposed to sunlight. But please, don’t take my word for it. Go to any feminist group or meeting with these people, and see for yourself how the relative attractiveness shifts in these circles. It’s sad and it’s not right, but this is how it works folks. fumiswtpusy:Sorry I quoted you. I overestimated your intelligence and underestimated your folly. |
fumiswtpusy:There is obviously a disconnect between your brain and your fingers. |
The level of ridiculous steps taken by JAMB since they got this present Registrar is legendary. |
He can forgive her if he has a large heart but he won't forget it if he has a functional brain. |
yettymuse:Of course. If they refuse to pay, seize their slippers and pack their shovels. Even Ambode has legalized payment of Foundation fees. |
@ Denowo, Mathschic, I'm also a potential investor. In the Insurance information shared by Denowo, there's no cover for when such crops are eaten by birds, wild animals and more particularly, fed on by fulani herdsmen and their cattle. However, I think it's a wonderful idea and should be roundly applauded. |
RUBYRUBY:Good phone at the right price. I have bought about 3. The first one I bought, someone saw it and paid 75k instantly. Bought 2 later, sold black one and presently using the Gold color. Which phone case do you use with yours? |
priceaction:Hmmn, I'm not really technically inclined, but I'll attempt to answer. I'm using the Note 4X (5.5 inches) and a heavy user at that. Takes about 2 hrs to charge fully, not exactly sure tho. Charged it to 85% or so and after I've used it for about 13hrs of heavy usage, it's still on 26%. Mind you, I'm on constant 4G network.
