Jobs/Vacancies / Re: What's The Current Unemployment Rate In Nigeria? by mrmofasa(m): 11:10am On Oct 01, 2012
No offence but knowing this figure doesn't create employment.

It only creates hopelessness and anxiety.
Nairaland / General / Re: Smoking Zones In Japan.(Picture) by mrmofasa(m): 8:23pm On Sep 30, 2012
The funny thing is that there's no such thing as a smoking zone. Whether second hand or third hand, passive smokers are still smokers. . .even breathe in more smoke than first hand smokers.

Can Nigeria do it? Yes, given the dumb lot of policy makers and government officials that we have

Is it an acceptable way of reducing exposure to Second hand smoke? Maybe, especially if the smokers scream human rights.

But first, President Jonathan has to sign the National Tobacco Control Bill (NTCB). The NTCB has since been passed by both legislative houses but Presido has yet to sign it into law.

What is holding him? Until he signs it into law, we can't talk about any smoking section.

Incest? Or just good old fashioned family bonding?

I'm wondering

Even the shoemaker on the street knew that inflation would follow but Retardeen did not.

Out of touch with the reality of the economy? I bet he's out of touch with Nigeria sef.

Ladies and Gentlemen, our president lives in a self-created bubble.

@Callotti That man is in NYC. He no get time.

This story na helele. Choi!

I am wondering how long it'll take for the woman to forgive herself. The funny thing is that it is not her fault. But then how could she not have known?

Did the man's gentleness and niceness blind her?

Nice speech. Kudos to his speech-writer (who's probably a young man in his early 30s)

@idowuogbo In the agbero way. . .ur colorful use of outlandish lingo in such descriptive ways never ceases to amaze me. I am not a fan but if not that u actually understand posts and make comments, i would have thought that you truly, are an agbero.

Una be fool: My relationship will never end. It's a distant relationship but growing faster than the speed of light. I can't wait to walk down the aisle!
The paradoxical nature of this username and the comment is suspect.
Hope you are not deceiving yourself.

BTW the thread is about 'How you ended ur relationship' not 'how blissful ur relationship is'

Politics / Re: Diezani Alison-madueke Hospitalized In London - SaharaReporters by mrmofasa(m): 9:41am On Sep 05, 2012
What kind of half-baked reporting is this? Plenty assumptions and allegations, NO PROOF! Some 'retardeen-ic' reporters should be castrated and shot.

That said, Isn't it abyssimally humiliating and disgusting how some people never learn for other people's mistakes? Dame should have consulted Stella (via the babalawos in Bayelsa) before embarking on her proposed cos-death-ic trip to Dubai. Who is she forming for? Jona or Nigerians? Some good-hearted soul should please inform Dame Jona that we have seen her at her worst and we accept her the way she is.

Dame Retardeen.

Finally, an honorable man is in Government. Like Udeme, my friend, Prof. Barth Nnaji is an honorable man. He sharply saved himself from the fangs of the EFCC and the bites of the Nigerian media
Romance / Re: You Cannot Truly Ascertain A Man's Behaviour Until He's Financially Comfortable? by mrmofasa(m): 11:20am On Aug 27, 2012
This is definitely gonna be a long arguement. As an emotionally mature single person who things are going very well for, chances are that there'll be slight, unconscious changes in one's persons behaviour that'll make ur buddies know that things have improved for you.

Not sounding excessively chauvinstic, i think these 'slight, unconscious behavioural changes' may be an issue to the female gender/wife/girlfriend/fiancee who by the way, are usually more sensitive.

It is also worthy to note that the 'slight, unconscious behavioural changes' is totally dependent on the individual's background, history, experiences, interactions etc.

Hence it would be a fallacy to argue or oppose the original post.

The utter ridiculous-ness of this show can't be overemphasized! What kinda pusssy assed show is this? Anyway its wayyy below my age grade, I'm sure pubescent teens will gush over it.
What kind of pusssy assed individual would care to diss this animation? Were you forced to watch it? Did you have to comment at all? If you are a true cartoon lover, then you should know better!

Career / Learning A Trade/vocation? Opinions Needed by mrmofasa(m): 10:19am On Jul 06, 2012
I'm a University graduate,Top 25%, possess the requisuite academic ability and skills needed to get a job in my chosen field- Public Health. Infact, more skills than my peers. Yet, I'm still jobless. Given the Nigerian situation, that's hardly surprising.

I'm thinking of going to learn a trade - tailoring, barbing/hairdressing, etc. Truth is I don't know which vocation to choose. I need more options and advice too.
Career / Re: A Career As A Lecturer by mrmofasa(m): 9:06am On Jul 06, 2012
Kehindedl: I am a graduate assistant in a federal uni in Nigeria, after every deduction my take home at the end of the month is 99,340 naira. Not bad for a start I gues.
Lecturing aint a bad idea at all. I got my B.Sc in 2010 and just registered for my M.Sc at UI and I plan to go all the way to PhD. However, my issues is with the school fees. It's kinda awkward to still depend on my parents for money. So i'll like to know if there are any scholarships or funds to assisst would-be lecturers like me?
