Yea you can since it's IELTS General but it must not be older than 2 years.

I know. I meant IELTS general. I asked this as a follow up to a question I saw earlier in the thread where someone said you have to fill immigration purposes when taking the IELTS for Canada immigration.

I wrote the IELTS general training for professional training reasons in an English country, not for immigration purposes. Now, I'm wondering if i can use the same result for Canada immigration.

Baba abeg how did you get your transcript from LAUTECH. I am a LAUTECH alumnus too and the only thing stalling my EE application is ECA. Please help a brother biko.

Thank God, WES credentials evaluation (Nigeria and UK) completed within 3 months. Despite LAUTECH strike, I got my transcript verified. Na who know who I use though.

From what I have read on here, I think both qualify as two or more certificates provided you didn't use the NCE to gain direct entry admission into second year of your BSc program.

Talking about Gift deeds, does the person gifting you the funds need to provide their bank statement as well?

1) It can be in separate accounts
2) The gift deed should indicate that the person giving you the money is giving you out of his freewill and you can use the funds for whatever you like. You can find samples via google. I have deleted the ones i have on my system.

I think you should consider deferring the admission till next year if that is a possibility.

Then you can start processing the express entry now. You can always do your Masters once you are in Canada as a PR.

I need clarification to ascertain if I can apply for EE. Below is my profile:

I am 29 years old and single

I recently got study permit for a two years master's program (Control Systems) at University of Alberta in Canada to commence 5th of September 2017.

I am currently working in a multinational manufacturing company here in Nigeria and recently got an outstanding appraisal report that sees my pay upto NGN 550K monthly.

I have four years experience in the field of Control Systems (Automation Engineer and Instrumentation Engineer in two household name multinational firms).

If I go for the masters I would sponsor myself, and the cost is quite high. But with a PR the cost would drastically reduce.

Now the questions:

Is it possible to start the application for EE entry while I am already in Canada? (As I plan to get my transcript sent to WES before leaving for the masters program)

would you advise based on the experience of those already in Canada, I quit my job for the masters with the hope of securing a PR and good job over there?

You can't buy directly with less than N50m from the primary market; however, what banks do is sum up all bids less than N50m and purchase T-bills directly from CBN then issue you a t-bill certificate; tell your friend to make enquiries from his colleagues in Treasury.

Hi Guys, please I have a question. I am thinking of using Treasury Bill for my POF but when I asked a banker friend about it he said that as an individual I cannot buy a TB of less than N50million, that it's a recent development. Please how true is this? Is there anyone here that has recently bought TB? For how much and which bank?

I think I understand her plight. She was probably aiming for a CLB10 band but the 7 is Writing reduced it to a CLB9. 7.5 in Writing could have given her the maximum points for language test.

Hi, I think an affidavit, marriage certificate and newspaper publication announcing your change of name are enough documents to upload. I don't think there is need for a LOE.

I ve made progress with the portharcourt intl passport palava....hoping to get it by tomoro( i had to pay for an upgrade..... )

So i actually made a change of name in the new passport. The initial passport i used for this application was in my maiden name.....the new one is in my marriage name.
Alongside the new passport, I intend to upload an affidavit of change of name and prolly a LOE...
Pls is there any other things to upload to avoid any further queries? people who did maiden/marriage name passport waka abeg how una take do am

I have read somewhere on this thread that the soft copy will suffice. That's what I intend to do as well. Send the hard copy to a relative in Canada to save cost.

Please must someone send their ECA (with IQAS) to Nigeria even if the person has someone that can collect it and keep for her in Canada bearing in mind that the soft copy is good to go for the PR application? we are just trying to cut cost, I hope this wont cause any issue?


Also, please who knows if IQAS evaluate result for medical courses (Dentistry to be precise) ?

So if for example my candidate number is 4444 it would be 17NG004444 right?

17 Sist! As in 17NG0.... U should have had yours by now. Oh.... U in one of those British Council office cities and yet to pick it up I guess. I actually made a guess of the certificate number before arrival by using 16 on my EE profile but got 2 things wrong, I had to go back to correct it. Two zeros were also added before the exam number, I added one. Yours might be different though. I think the exam digits should be six in number hence the reason for 2 zeros. It's 17NG0... once again.

Yes I did my IELTS on May 25 but I am yet to go pickup the TRF (hard copy). I'm planning to go to British Council office on Friday.

Did the result number start with 16 or 17? As in, is it something like 16NG0.....or is it 17NG0.....

I think they respond by email now but you'll still have to go to exams and records or main aud to get them to do it and pay like 1k or sumn ridiculous

Like I said I have had a sister who is in her final year in LAUTECH help me check and she confirmed all offices are under lock and key including the Academic and Records offices. However I have sent a mail to the email address provided in the link for the online processing. Once I get a feedback from them I will proceed immediately. Another question though, is it compulsory for my spouse to write the IELTS exams even if I don't plan to use it to boost my point? I have used the CRS tool and my point is 425. Do you think this will be enough to get ITA? Thanks!

Hi please how strict is Wes on quoting the reference number on the envelope, cos I'm really not sure of the possibility of quoting the reference number if I'm applying online for the transcript.

Many thanks for the link. I have had someone check for me but Exams and Records unit is also affected by the strike action. I think unfortunately I am stuck and will have to wait till the strike is called off and only God knows when that will be.

Good scores u got there. As for ur ECA, ur statement of result is sufficient, however, d challenge u might have is getting ur school to send ur transcript to WES or IQAS depending on which u choose. U might want to find out if the non academic staff in exams n records r working.

I have been a follower of this thread for few weeks and I have found it very helpful and informative. Big ups to all who are contributing to this platform. My IELTS result just came out LRSW 8.5/7/7/7.5 and I intend to enter the EE pool as soon as possible but a major stumbling block is my ECA. My School (LAUTECH) has been on strike for almost a year now and it doesn't look like the school is going to resume anytime soon. Is there anyone who is in similar situation? I only have my statement of result and from what I have read here, I don't think that will suffice. Is there anyway around this? Your input will be much appreciated.
