jtchukwu: As rumour of boko haram encroachment towards us went viral, this night helicopters on mission to the troubled area, (confirming the rumours going round) as we came out because the chopper was hovering and making a lot of noise, in our very own eyes one of the chopper exploded very far distance from us, I can't tell what went wrong. As I type this, a search helicopter came around hovering around the crash sight. We are all standing with our bags ready for any eventuality. We can't run to town because of the curfew. We need your prayers as the tension now is overwhelming. The encroachment was towards Gombi in Adamawa state. Why not move back to SE rather than live in fear in the North? |

Justcash: Contrary to your strange belief, Buhari cannot defeat GEJ. He needs to FORGET about leading and throw his support behind a more capable aspirant like Fashola. He is a thief too. A big one. There is adequate evidence of corruption against him. The reason why he has not been hunted down is the same reason why the likes of Tinubu, ALAMS and other criminals are walking free. Wait till things get dicey, then you'll see how GEJ and co will whisk him away like a common criminal. NIGERIANS are tired of recycled criminals.
We need real change not mediocrity. Strange belief? Okay. |

“Those who describe you as a religious bigot do not know you. Frankly, I used to think that way when I was in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), but all that changed when I joined the APC...'' In other words, the only way one can tell that Saint Buhari is not a religious extremist is to join APC. Sorry, try again in 2019, 2023, 2027, 2031, or 2035. Now, we should ask same mad professor? Justcash: I disagree with you. APC, as an opposition party, should present BABATUNDE FASHOLA as their presidential aspirant. That will ensure that your "thief change thief theory" will be avoided. It is as easy as ABC. Must a thief change a thief?
The kain Ogun Thunder wey go hammer APC if they present a thief in February will be unprecedented. Why should I vote in a hungry thief when I'm grappling with an existing thief that is almost satisfied with his loot? No be die be dat? How many times shall it be told to you people that Fashola cannot defeat GEJ as it stands now? The only one that can send GEJ packing out of Aso rock is Buhari. Take it or leave it, it is the fact.
If PDP was to present a different candidate for 2015 presidential election, then Fashola would have been the best candidate under APC.
Buhari is not corrupt! Just in case you didn't get the sarcasm in my message. Even if Fashola emerges as the presidential candidate under APC today, many false articles will come out to paint him black and bad. |

The Yobe Government has closed down all public and private schools in the state, following Monday’s suicide bomb attack on Government Science Secondary School, Potiskum.
The attack had claimed 48 lives and injured 79 others.
The state Commissioner for Education, Alhaji Muhammad Lamin, said in a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Damaturu on Tuesday, that the closure was with immediate effect.
Lamin said that government decided to close the schools to enable it adopt more security measures to guarantee the safety of students, teachers and the school environment across the state.
Meanwhile, Sen. Alkali Jajere, representing Yobe South Senatorial District in the Senate, has appealed for a change in strategy by security operatives to contain insurgency in the state.
Jajere who spoke with journalists in Damaturu, said that the renewed attacks on innocent people of the state called for a change in strategy in the fight against insurgency.
“The number one responsibility of government is to protect the lives and property of the citizenry; government must live up to this basic responsibility.
“We are optimistic that with the necessary support and motivation, the Nigerian security forces can defeat insurgency,” he said. The senator urged security agents to respect the rules of engagement in their operation, and called for synergy between law enforcement agents and the public, to effectively fight insurgency. (NAN)

This is it, the law is to go after those that orchestrated the bombing.
The right thing for GEJ to have done is postpone his declaration.
When GEJ keeps allowing bombs to go off like that and blame the opposition, and then continue with his schedule, it is simply insensitive of him.
This is a thing of common sense. |
