Look, since teem invited me here I am sure he is aware that I am not an genius but common sense should point out from your posts that you are NOT a scientist of any sort.

Before this post can be taken seriously, I would advice you start by doing the following:

1. Observe: You have already done this

This is only an observation. I'd advice you also read up on business principles and I recommend "Jim Collins: How the mighty fall". If top multinational companies are become bankrupt there is really nothing stopping anyone else from losing his or her wealth. Mind you, there are cases like this all over the world. You need to read more about life.

2. Carry out an experiment: Go to your village and seek this power from any top babalawo there, record(secretly if need be) the whole experience till when the power has been bestowed on you, the various rituals you have to go through etc. Then, contact teempakguy, turn on the video camera at your end and he'll do the same at his end then you can "appear" at his location. Then you will have to do so again at a gathering of intellectuals by disappearing from the from the front to the back.

Till then i'd advice you stop referring to yourself as a scientist because this your claim would sound silly to a primary 3 student undecided
calm down. you need to get things right. just like I said, IF the concept of witchcraft, mystical powers and religious beliefs are true, then they exist a science there. I said in my post that what this science per say LACKS is mathematical proofs.

TEMPAKGUY is very bold, what he forgot that towards the late years of 1800, physicists like the ones he posted thought that EVERYTHING, I mean the laws of physics has been discovered yet they were things that classic mechanics could not explain.

telling me to believe that we CAN NEVER GET speed greater than that of light, well currently they is none bt I am optimistic it's possible .

the fact that he does not believe on what I believe does not make him a professor of physics and me, an elementary school pupil just like you have asserted.
Science/TechnologyRe: Nigerian Science/technology by mrphysics(op): 8:08am On Dec 01, 2015
I love your boldness, my point that you have refused yo understand is that, am not saying the speed of light have been reached, but we are optimistic that we will get there, WHOEVER THAT TELL YOU ITS IMPOSSIBLE may perhaps be in the era of 1800 where physicist thought that everything about physics and its laws have been discovered yet they still have lacuna that classic physics could not talk about.

tell him that the fact I believe on the possibility of speed greater than light and he does not do not in anyway make him a better physicist.

he is focusing on the now and am focusing on the next.

why are you asking me mathematical proof when you read on my post that what our science if it exist is mathematical proof, don't you read it??

if you are a physicist, tell me your view, if you are not, then get in.

Alex sergeev, who has a degree in physics and is currently doing his PhD had this to say.

He was being lenient. another, Which goes by the name, Charles Jack, Said this.

At this point, you have been refuted by both logic, evidence, and authority. And it's kind of Sad, to me, that sergeev's points are actually true for the majority of Nigerian students. It is very saddening to me indeed.

I got this from TECH TIMES
A team at NASA may have unintentionally accelerated particles to faster-than-light speeds while using the EmDrive resonance chamber - basically, if their findings turn out to be accurate, the team may have just discovered faster-than-light travel.
To clarify, the EmDrive resonance chamber is a proposed method of interstellar propulsion: basically, this could end up being the engines that the starships of the future use. The advantages of using such a device are numerous: it's electrically powered, it features no moving parts and doesn't require any material fuel to move. If it ends up working as planned, there's a good chance that it could lead to a new breed of engine.
NASA is currently studying the technology for future applications, but few expected anything like this to happen: according to a post over at the
NASA Space Flight forums , when a team of researchers fired lasers into the resonance chamber, the particles were accelerated to astronomical speeds...with some moving even faster than the speed of light.
"...this signature (the interference pattern) on the EmDrive looks just like what a warp bubble looks like. And the math behind the warp bubble apparently matches the interference pattern found in the EmDrive."
So, what does this mean? Well, it's entirely possible that NASA just created a 'warp bubble,' - while that sounds like something out a bad episode of Star Trek, it could also lead to a huge advancement in space travel technology. Traveling the distance between Earth and our neighboring planet Mars is still a one-way trip using conventional methods, but if the EmDrive were able to create something like a stable warp bubble and faster-than-light travel became a reality, that may no longer be the case.

Science/TechnologyFour Shocking Facts About Our Population That Technology Can Solve. by mrphysics(op): 1:47pm On Nov 30, 2015
what we need is more of people who specialize in the impossible.- THEODORE ROETHKE

Technology is going to change what we think of as scarcity . it's the common denominator that makes us fearful.
But scarcity doesn't have to be a permanent condition. Technology can change it.
Did you know that there was a time when the rarest, most precious metal on earth was .....aluminum? Technology is a resource-liberating mechanism. Given the way our world population is growing, we need to be liberating those resources faster and ever. that exponential CHANGE we were talking about?
They are four shocking facts about our growing economy that nothing apart from TECHNOLOGY can solve, by this post, I aim to incite technology hunger in the minds of our youth, I want to let our students, the undergraduate know about the challenge ahead, I want the government to pay more attention to our ministry of science and technology. below are facts that will shock you.

1. it took a little more than 200,000 years - or until the year 1804 - for the population of human beings to multiply to a total of 1 billion people .

2. it took only 123 years (1927) for the human population to double to 2 billion people.

3. But it took just 33 years (1960) before there were 3 billion people on the planet earth! .

. 4. it took a mere 14 years (1974) for another billion to be added, for a total of 4 billion people .

shocked??

today they are 7.2 billion people on the planet! if we keep growing at our current pace, scientists estimate, the population will be 9.6 billion by 2050.

How can earth sustain son many people? if we keep consuming our resources at the current rate, according to Jim Leaped of the world Wide Fund, "we are using 50% more resources than the Earth can sustainably produce, and unless we change course, that number will grow fast by 2030, even two planets will not be enough.

Human ingenuity and technology together have a way of keeping up with our needs.

"the key to abundance is meeting limited circumstances with unlimited thoughts."

"the best way to predict the future is to invent it" - Alan kay

By Nigeria last census, we are 160 million people, currently Nigeria has a population of 175 million. I.e within a space of 9years, we added 15 million persons to our population. Even agriculture may not sustain us at this rate, but technology, I mean advanced technology will.

LET NIGERIANS ARISE
LET OUR YOUTHS, STUDENTS ARISE
LET US EMBRACE TECHNOLOGY AND BUILD A GREAT NATION.

good morning dear nairalanders, I do not know if here is the right place to post this. sorry for not posting it in the right section, hope you enjoy this brief charge to our leaders.

so many have been written and said on the topic " to whom much is given, much is expected", and just like my professor would say " after all said and done, more is said than done, this morning I want to write to our leaders.

dear leaders

TO WHOM MUCH IS EXPECTED, MUCH IS GIVEN

You expect alot from your citizens, you say it through the press, on air, on television and even during your outing, you make it so crystal clear, that even the blind can see it, the deaf can hear it, you expect so much from us, yet you have not given us enough. how can you expect us to dig a well without giving us the instruments?
to whom much is expected, much is given

You want the output of secondary school students to be the same with a high school students in US, yet our secondary schools is under equipped, how do you want us to achieve it? are we magicians. Secondary schools where a graduate of chemistry can teach furthrt mathematics, school where a physics student can teach agriculture. schools that lack laboratories, secondary school that waec official collect money to approve the school for WAEC, secondary schools that only the private ones is partially equipped. therefore, to whom much is expected, much is given

You expect a lot from undergraduates, when universities are always on strike for non payment of fees, bad hostel facilities, outdated library books, poor internet access, lecturers that only want us to read to pass. you expect world class graduates, when you focus more on our certificate than what we can. you expect a lot from undergraduates, who just read to pass because they know, there is no job out after graduation. you expect a lot from us when your children are graduating with first class from world best universities outside this country. again
to whom much is expected, much is given

After NYSC, what next? we begin to struggle to survive, after four years of reading. we learn trades, we learn how to drive dangote trucks? we learn how to sell fuels? we learn to teach in a private secondary school that under pay us?, schools that don't recognize minimum wage, yet contracts is given to foreign companies.
to whom much is expected, much is given

Nigerian youths are not lazy
Nigerian students are not lazy

there are many more, kindly add more.

Most commercial jetliners cruise somewhere between 30,000 and 45,000 feet above mean sea level. At higher speeds and altitudes, there isn't enough oxygen in the air to continuously burn the jet fuel required to stay up there. Engines designed to work very well that high,

A typical commercial jet (most standard flights) cruises at around 28-35,000ft (up to 6.6 miles of altitude). The main exception is Concorde which was designed to fly at a higher altitude (and hence lower wind resistance) at around 45,000ft. Although many jets could fly at higher altitudes, they are usually certified to an altitude giving a wide safety margin. For example the new generation Boeing 737 is certified to 41,000ft (7.8 miles).

Many military jet aircraft are able to fly considerably higher. Often, the plane itself is not pressurised and instead the pilot wears a pressure suit that provides him with a pressurised environment. Originally, very high altitude military planes were used for surveillance the current versions of the famous U2 spy plane, originally designed in the 1950s can cruise at up to 90,000ft (17 miles). The Stealth Bomber cruises at up to 50,000ft (8.3 miles) and many other combat planes can now also attain significant altitudes.

To add to some point. Most of our weather activities happens at 14km and below. Rain, snow etc.
hearing it for the very first time that military jets fly at 35km? do you know the atmosphere you are talking about?? pressure is not the only thing that determine how far flights gets to. the constituents of that layer also matters mostly.

The hadron collider has given us proof. over and over again. of how superluminal speed is possible with normal matter. what ever else you achieve is not speed. as you will be bending space. kindly read on alcubierre drive.

thank you sir. when pressure decreases, expansion occurs. if our plane should get to the next layer of the atmosphere, it may expand and you know what that means. again, the next layer I.e the stratosphere, contains ozone layer. the molecules of this layer may attack the bodies of the pane and just as you hav read, in stratosphere, temperature increases with altitude. am not talking about negative pressure. the pressure is so low there, if you hav travelled by air, you will hear them announce the altitude. 1km = 3280.8399ft. so travelling, 10km = 32,808.399 ft. planes hardly pass this altitude, with the exemption of military plane that may reach 11km(hardly ). thanks

Fantastic write-up OP. Number 3 however is a bit off. Green house gasses are called that because of the green house effect, a phenomenon known to occur in green houses.Green houses are built to shelter vegetables in growing season. They are designed in such a way as to let light in for photosynthesis of the vegetables, the problem with green houses is that, when sunlight enters, it brings heat energy which reflects off the floor. In reflecting, the sunlight loses energy and cannot re-penertrate the transparent roof of the green house, becoming trapped along with the heat energy. This raises the temperatures within the green house to fatal levels for the vegetables, killing them. This is the same principle global warming works on.
I here you sir, from your words it shows you understand it. the gases I mentioned there are all green house gases. this gases follow your explanation. thanks anyway

This is not true bro, this condition changes with day and night, such that the condition changes adiabatically.

At night, even from 6 pm, the ground is cooler and it gets hotter as you go higher, this is because the ground begins to release the absorbed heat energy from the sun, but in the afternoons, it gets colder as you go higher, this is because the sun heats the earth surface, and radiation occurs. So the further from the surface, the cooler.
I can't help but laugh. sir the process you are talking about is what we call land and sea breeze. it's secondary school topics. Anyway, in the stratosphere, they exist the ozone layer, this layer absorbs light rays from the sun, when this happens, the molecules of this layer heats up and it is the reason why temperature increases with height. this process is called INVERSION I.e temperature inversion. oga, we have gone very far.

Am a physicist(Geophysics/Meteorologist), I put up this writing to educate my fellow nairalanders, I hope u enjoy it.
feel free to ask your questions after reading, and ignore any typographical error
Let's get started

10 THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE ATMOSPHERE

1: WHAT CAUSES WIND AND WIND FLOW: The cause of wind is the differences in pressure and temperature of a given area. Winds always flow from regions of cooler temperature (high pressure) to regions of warmer temperature (low pressure). The greater the differences in temperatures or pressure, the greater the wind speed

2: WHY DOES AIR PRESSURE DECREASE WITH HEIGHT
The pressure at any level in the atmosphere may be interpreted as the total weight of the air per unit area at any elevation. At higher elevations, there are fewer air molecules above a given surface than similar surface at lower levels. Example, there are few air molecules at 50km than are found at 12km, which is why the pressure is less at 50km

3: WHY ARE GASES SUSCH AS CARBON DIOXIDE, NITROUS OXIDE, METHAN AND CFC CALLED GREEN HOUSE GASES
They are called greenhouse gases because they are able to absorb and emit infra-red radiation.

4: WHY IS IT DANGEROUS TO SEEK SHELTER UNDER A TREE DURING THUNDERSTORM
It is very dangerous to seek shelter under a tree during thunderstorm because when lightning strikes, it delivers an enormous force of electrical energy that can break off branches or even split trunk of the tree.

5: THE HIGHER YOU GO, THE COOLER IT BECOMES? TRUE OR FALSE?
It is true in the layer of the atmosphere where we live. The earth’s atmosphere is divided into five layers: TROPOSHERE, STRATOSPHERE, MESOSPHERE, THERMOSPHERE and EXOSPHERE. The statement is true only in TROPOSHERE (0-15KM above sea level) and in MESOSPHERE. A process called LAPSE RATE (the decrease in temperature with height). Outside these two layers, inversion occurs (the higher you go, the hotter it becomes)

6: DOES PLANEs FLY BEYONG THE TROPOSHERE
Negative, our planes does not fly beyond this layer of the atmosphere, perhaps because it cannot withstand the pressure of the nearest layer of the atmosphere. Our planes rarely reach 14KM.

7: WHICH LAYER OF THE ATMOSPHERE DOES RAIN OCCUR?
I need to state clearly that all our rain falls happen within our layer of the atmosphere we live in (TROPOSPHERE), outside this layer of the atmosphere, they EXIST no rain or rainfall.

8: WHAT IS NOWCASTING?
The forecasting of weather within the next six hours is often referred to as nowcasting. In this time range, it is possible to forecast smaller features such as individual showers and thunderstorm with reasonable accuracy, as well as other features too small to be resolved by a computer model.

9: WHAT IS THE IONOSPHERE?
The ionosphere is the layer of earths atmosphere that is ionized by solar radiation. The ionosphere contains plasmas and is made up of three layers, the lowest is called D-LAYER(75-95KM), E-LAYER(95-100KM) and the F-LAYER(150km upwards).

10: HOW DOES THE IONOSPHERE INFLUENCE AM RADIO TRANSMISSION DURING THE DAY AND AT NIGHT
Distant AM radio stations are better received at night because the ionosphere that reflects AM stations is protected from ionizing radiation and ionized particles from the sun. when the sun comes up, it heats up the air, helping to make a part of the air that can reflect radio waves that comes from an AM radion station.

okay, I'm just seeing this.

so.

you think quantum entanglement can provide speeds above that of light? how is that even possible? quantum entanglement only transmits particle behaviour instanteously. you can't even transmit information beyond light speed. not to talk of bodies of matter.

anyway, it's not in my place to discourage you. i'm eagerly expecting your research paper. wink
Also, if the concept of quantum entanglement is realised practically, then we have no option than to submit to the fact that they is a speed beyond d speed of light. my own proof of the existence of heaven is the fact that the distance from us to heaven demands that we move faster than light, and that is why we die for our soul which travel million times greater than light to get to that heaven. its in agreement to the fact that for us to get to the neighbouring planets or even stars faster, den we need speeds greater than light. we r moving

you still don't understand the concept of speed of light, and bringing it up now may derail the topic. currently, nothing travels faster than light. but scientists still believe that we may get to a speed even twice faster than that of light, we are so optimistic about that sir, but before scientists gets there, we discovered that the "NIGERIAN SCIENCE OR EVEN AFRICA technology moves beyond that speed. a process we have termed mystery. how can we get a mathematical proof of the science remains the $1million dollar question.

SirWere:
True, but since the whole damn thing has been mysticized and cloaked in secrecy to the point where one cannot tell when Legend ends and truth begins, one cannot as much as glance at it.
meaning we should continue to rely on western science?? do you know what china did? they embraced the western education and mixed it with their culture and today they are doing great. if not that they is enough pressure mounted on their economy by their ever growing population, we would have seen how great the country really is. I have reasons why I believe we have what I call AFRIACAN SCIENCE

The problem there is, mysticism and secrecy follow these occults and their powers, if they have any. How do you expect me to study what I cannot access, what people speak about with fear, and what people pin all their sorrows, troubles and pains on; which is defininetly not the cause of it.undecided
I concur, but I still believe they is a science behind it. everything physicists and other scientists are doing is just mystical but backup with mathematical proofs
