For people who keep asking questions on the Tinapa issue, this may shed some light on what went wrong.

Odingo1:

The presidency in Nigeria has been rotational, Obasanjo became president because Nigeria agreed to field Yoruba candidate for two major political parties in other to make sure that a Yoruba man must emerge as president, let Nigeria do the same for Igbos so that Nigeria will move forward as a country.

After the North it is the turn of Igbos to become the president of Nigeria just like other region

Yorubas pushing for Donald Duke is a calculated attempt which will not work.

It's not were the president comes from that matters but his or her ability to perform. As far as Nigeria is concerned today, Donald Duke is the best proven man for the job.

Good combination if you ask me but I don't think they have enough time to evangelize to the grassroots.

Majority of Nigerians are really disillusioned with the status quo of pdp and apc. They are yearning for a real change and any formidable movement can easily sway the votes away from the establishment.

it's like you don't know how charismatic buhari is....
him merely lifting your hands here in the north and asking them to vote for you....can make you clear all votes here...

he is a demigod...any political party desiring to unseat him need dp extra work....serious one.
his photograph can win even atiku here in the north...coupled wit the illiteracy rate here.

it's gonna be difficult

What Buhari has is not charisma but popularity based on ethnic and religious sentiments because he is a religious bigot and tribal champion. That said, his popularity is waning in the north because of his very poor performance and several northerners including the arewa youth forum have come out to condemn his disastrous performance. I agree he will still win in the north but it will no longer be a landslide victory whilst his votes in other parts of the country will be almost down to zero.

There are many northerners involved in the movement, they will be able to exert at least some influence on their people.

They are wasting their time if there's no strong mechanism to destabilize the cabals.
Also they should have strong back up and agents in the para military and military agencies, cos they are the real tool of these dominant political parties.
Also they should be enough sensitization in schools, comunities and colleges.
They should also know that the children of these politicians will team up to fight back, because you intend to destroy the source of their affluence and luxury.

I am sure the calibre of people involved are intelligent enough to know how to go about achieving their aim. Nigeria is ripe to be taken off the grip of the cabal. #It'sOurTime

Honestly am speechless from most of the comments above. The politics in Nigeria is far beyond ambition. Anybody is free to aspire for any post, it's their fundamental human right. But the question is does he has the structure across boards to earn him the post? It will be a free ride for him if there is independent candidate in our constitution. Don't forget his party has zoned their candidate to the north. Also don't forget he is from SS and their chairman is also from the zone. Tell me how can he scale tru the primary? May God help us in this country.

There are over sixty registered political parties in Nigeria. He doesn't have to contest on the platform of PDP or APC.

Duke2019:
For starters, do you know that Mr. Donald Duke has been the only Nigerian Governor who served and was not listed by EFCC for any corruption charge? You can read more about it Here on BBC

According to his page on Wikipedia, He created the idea of the Obudu Ranch International Mountain Race and the race grew to become one of the most lucrative mountain running competitions in the world under his stewardship. In 2005, he created a special reserve fund for the state meant to ‘‘hedge against economic downturn, and the inevitable rainy day’’. This was meant to cushion the effect of unforeseeable economic challenges that may occasion uncertainty in the state's Internally generated revenue, as well as monthly allocation from the federal government.

Donald Duke initiated the Tinapa Resort project as a way to boost business and tourism in the state. Over $350 million was spent on initial development before phase 1 opening in April 2007. The BBC reported in September 2006 that Governor Duke was the only governor specifically mentioned as not being under investigation by the federal Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (Four other governors were also reported as not under investigation but their names were not released.)

Duke is a man with results, therefore, i will urge well meaning Nigerians to come together, and REDEEM out future.

It's Time To Get Things Right!

Very good initiative, I am glad and proud to be a part of this laudable project. It's our time. smiley

If it voluntary why would God say you rob him

Now you contradict yourself, Malachi 3:10 that you are referring to here was talking about tithes under the law which you claim is not the type you are practising. As we all know Christians are not under the law and it's wrong for any preacher to try to subject Christians to the law as tithe preachers do.

All The Jews were priests also. It's still a parallel

Good why then do you give wrong impression as though it's a crime for a minister to receive welfare .

That's a general Christian admonition

I've proven to you money was accepted as tithe . Secondly God used agric terminology for isreal because they were farmers by default . Even as at that it's not all agric produce that was accepted . Perishable things as tomatoes were not accepted , unclean animals were not accepted . Such were redeemed by cash . So invariably that knocks out the idea of strictly crops and animal agro tithes .It's a matter of choice . Does The fact that Cain and Abel gave agro produce as offering make offering strictly agro ? NO . Likewise tithes .If tithes were to be strictly agro Abraham and Jacob would have given agro only. Jacob said he would give tithes of all he's blessed with . And lastly tithes given to God is not for the poor . What is given to the poor was a different alms allocation .

Ask yourself this . If their was no money involved in cash . If it's only crops , how did priest get clothes ,shoes, plates, cups ,houses, bed, blankets, did the people give them ? Or they bought them ? Where did the money come from

Church money all goes to the local church account , from there a tithe of tithes is sent to headquarters. From the local church account . Gateman is paid and others staff are paid the pastor doesn't get paid except few case , other bills of the church are paid , rentals ,maintainaces and purchases . It's only Nairaland that tell lies against pastors . Church members will only laugh when they read some of the trash posted here because they know better that most of their pastors are volunteers who rather spend their money on the church . We don't give tithes according to the law. Remember it pre existed the law.

Stop this glaring lie. Tithing is preached according to the law in most Nigerian churches and that is why it is preached as mandatory. The Abrahamic tithe and Jacobs conditional promise to tithe that you are appealing to were both voluntary. It is only the law tithe that was made mandatory and that is what you and other dishonest preachers preach.

As usual the irresponsible man is putting the blame for the fuel scarcity on the marketers instead of accepting responsibility as the minister of petroleum and head of the government. If the marketers were hoarding fuel, how come NNPC stations owned by government and under his direct control were also not selling fuel? We are not going to achieve anything as a nation with this irresponsible character. With leadership comes responsibilities, if you refuse to accept responsibility, you are not worth being a leader.
