Hello everyone, so after trying to get admission for masters degree to no avail (due to third class), I have decided to go for a 1 year top up degree at Teesside. I want to ask if this is a good decision? Is this type of degree regarded in the same level as normal bachelors degree in the UK's job market? Can one even tell the difference on the certificate given? Also, will I still be qualified for the new post study work permit through this degree? Please help!

Hi i also have a third class and I understand what its like to keep getting them rejections cus of the degree but notwithstanding it doesnt mean you cant get an MSc. I tried going for a 1 year premasters program in the UK last year but did not have funds to push for it, funny ting i applied to the same school this year and got admitted for the same MSc program i intended to do pgD for.
Also ive had MSc admissions in 2 other countries. Its cool you want to do a Post graddip but still if you wish you cud still try other places in case you get accepted. Whichever way im proud of yr effort to push on.

Does this mean no need printing a different one for the appointment date even if its more than 31 days like the person ask?

I'm not sure about that but you should include a cover letter to explain the attestation of birth if you don't have an actual birth certificate to submit.
The attached screenshot might guide you and though it's not specifically for T4 applications, it's the UK govt policy on birth certificates.

Hello please was told NPC Attestation of birth is not accepted for UK Visa but rather only NPC Birth cirtificate. If you want a Parent to be sponsor. Is this true ?

The date of application is the date you submit , pay IHS /Visa fees online. Note the forex rate on that date and compare with what you have as maintenance funds

Making such direct bookings usually costs somewhat more than online bookings or those made through travel agents.
Generally, you can (or could pre-pandemic) get better deals from travel agents for the Middle Eastern airlines (Emirates, Turkish Airlines, etc.) than for the European ones.

If you have trouble trusting them, its no problem,
You could use any of the sites (skyscanner, travelstart, wakanow) as a means to check price ranges and times of various flights and when u see what you want visit the individual pages of the Airline and book directly from them. To feel safer.

If one has a bank statement from
10th July - 10th August
And the person applies on the UKVI site 19th August and gets an appointment for 25 Sept.
Will the person need to get a recent bank statement to take to take to the appointment. Or is what matters a bank statement 31days before applying on the UKVI.

Exactly, those answers were not too bad deserving of a rejection in the way the visa officer made it look. I know many other people will even answer their interview less credible than this and will still get approval for visa.
In the end, there is just a little bit of luck or grace that makes us excel in matters like this.

Oftentimes, a brief explanation will suffice. You don't need to submit documents that might jeopardize your application except they will strengthen your application.

Who's giving you money for your course? If your family gave you the money for your studies, mention this if asked for your source of funds in your account.

Do you intend to return to your employer after your course? If yes, has your employer granted you leave of absence for this? If yes, then you can include a letter from your employer stating your employment details (date of employment, salary e.t.c.) and confirming that you've been granted study leave.

You'd also have to know what benefit your course will be to your employer and what your expected salary and position will be upon your return to the organisation.
You need to be able to relate why you chose your course to your professional and business goals. You also need to have some knowledge about your school and the environment while highlighting the reasons for choosing your school or the UK as your study destination.
You need to know what accommodation and transportation options are available to you and have an estimate of the monthly costs.

If you aren't returning to your employer, you don't need a letter from your employer. Your bank statement and a brief explanation for your source of funds is sufficient, if asked. In this case, if you mention that you're looking to take up employment in Nigeria after your course in another / any company, you should have an idea of the industry pay range for your level. This will convey that you understand the benefit / advantage that studying will give you in terms of salary.

If you're solely sponsoring yourself (not getting money from your family or an official financial sponsor) and you feel that your current salary will make the ECO question your financial stability or whether the funds are truly available to you, just forget about a letter from your employer. It's not compulsory to submit one.

Please I would like to know what is the very best answer to this question. “How would you be able to sponsor your self”. I am 35 and the funds is already in my account for 4 months now.

I intend to say I would be sponsoring myself and would seek support from family if the need arise. Do I have to include evidence such as employment letter or account balance showing how I earn. Or the answer is acceptable without any evidence.

Also find attached a sample rejection letter I saw online that is getting me scared.

Please could get clarity on this part great pple here.

Pre enrollment is now online so you might do it before you legalise your documents. However , some school asked for translated documents when filling the pre enrollment form online.

I emailed Lagos and Abuja embassy for enquires about translation. Their response:

Dear Sir/Madam,

Kindly note that you can go to any English-Italian translator for the translation provided that the documents are accurately translated.

They gave me 3 translators numbers for Lagos and Abujaembassy gave me another translators contact.

1) Was told that is part of the documents you will summit when applying for vIsa.

2) Pre-enrollment is done on line for now whereas Legalization is done at the embassy.

3) You will have to send the embassy a mail and they will reply with date for your legalization. However, it seems the have cancelled legalization for now due to the pandemic.

You don't need legalized certificate for resident permit.

Below is the document sent by the embassy on requirement for resident permit

From what i believe or know bro. That birth certificate in that list needs to be verified and legalised by the embassy.

The Police character certificate needs to be legalised too but that won't require the verification long process

You can confirm or check from the embassy, give them a call or mail.
