Odogu9195: You missed out the part where jealousy and wickedness won’t allow us. Nigeria is a country where everyone is working really hard to make sure nothing works for anyone but themselves. Not just Nigeria, but Africa as a whole. A black man lacks the will to rule! It’s facts. One time a police man seized a bike mans bike due to 50 naira. Bike man was literally crying and begging he doesn’t have money, Oga even removed and emptied his cloths yet police man refused, and for what 50 naira?? It’s that the fault of the government as we all tend to blame the government for everything! NO THIS IS A TYPICAL BLACK MAN WITHOUT ANY FORM OF AUTHORITY ASIDE FROM CARRYING A GUN AND BEEN PART OF A FAILED SYSTEM CALLED THE NIGERIAN POLICE FOR, being really WICKED and unreasonable to his fellow Nigerian. Please TELL ME, how can we grow as a country with looking out for each other?? Is the work of the government to educate his citizen on how to approach a case like this the police man is wasting somebody time take him to court ooooo less I forget the Nigeria court is were the rice wins all cases |

Wait this guy have an aid hmmm Even me should look for one If you are qualified to be an aid submit your CV here thanks TITOPE: Musiliu Akinsanya aka MC Oluomo who is the Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, has reacted to the backlash he received over his invitation to speak at a programme in the University of Lagos UNILAG.
MC Oluomo was invited by the National Association of Geography Students, UNILAG chapter to give a speech at their function today September 19th but the invitation was greeted with widespread criticism. Many Nigerians felt that MC Oluomo who is not educated, should not be given a platform in a citadel of learning such as the University of Lagos.
Reacting to the criticism, MC Oluomo who spoke through his aide, Jimoh Buhari, said he could did not attend the event again as he is currently in Abuja attending to urgent matters. He wondered why Nigerians would not want to give an opportunity to a person like him. Speaking, Oluomo said.
“I don’t know the reason people are going against the invitation because the people who invited him knew what they wanted him to say. If he had gone there and said something wrong, then the critical reactions would have been justified.
“Is it a crime not to be educated? Should people who did not go to school go and commit suicide?
I think that if someone did not go to school and has a large following, it is enough reason for people to invite him to occasions. Those who invited him for the event had a strong reason for doing it.
“People are judging MC Oluomo based on hearsay. You don’t judge a book by its cover. We are also making efforts to change the negative impression people have about him.”

Angelfrost: Trust me sir, it is very easy to muddy that fine line between objective criticism and hate speech/outright pulling down... We all know this government is very intolerant of the former, and joyously makes effort to taint or portray it as the latter.
Ironically, members of this government, starting from the head, barely disguised their penchant to indulge freely in the latter all through out last regime, especially in the build up to the 2015 elections... He that comes to the table of equity, should be gracious enough to wash and sterilize his hands.
That said, everything written in that editorial is largely sacrosanct, and a belated pointer to a very dangerous precedent. You can't claim to be democratic if you muzzle every loud voice of opposition and criticism in your tenure. He that goes to equity must come with clean hands I like u |

Thanks for the information FA13: My Journey to China- Study Route….
Ok….the journey started after a long search for post graduate study programme. Really China was not in any of my plan until I stumble on a thread on nairaland in the education section with the name ‘Nigeria Student in China’.
My aim of writing and documenting my application process is to help and equip future applicants with adequate knowledge of applying to Chinese universities and getting scholarships. While I struggle to glean information from the nairaland page and other sources, I want others to just get all the information in one place. If this can motivate and guide just one or two persons to apply for admission with scholarship, I will be more than fulfilled.
Note: My explanation may be skewed towards the post graduate applicants especially master’s students as that is what I applied for, but I will endeavor to be balanced as much as possible.
Now to the Business…
Most Chinese universities admission for CGS -Chinese Government Scholarship- by CSC -Chinese Scholarship Council (https://www.campuschina.org) - opens around January and ends April for September resumption. Few extends beyond that. Candidates that are not interested in the scholarship can apply till July in some schools. Applicants should be non-Chinese and should not be a current student on the scholarship. The application website is www.studyinchina.csc.edu.cn/#/login China has more than 3000 universities but only few (around 300) offers scholarship for international students every year. This means only few have programs are taught in English. The list of the universities can be seen on this site: https://feature.cucas.edu.cn/Articles/List-of-279-China-Universities-Admitting-Chinese-Government-Scholarship-Students:-Apply-for-Scholarship-in-China_1488.html |
