If you we can have a mature discussion on how best to move this country forward without partisan polarization we could come out with a platform and templet With ideological capacity to be a major political discussion come 2019. Moderators please move this to front page for the sake of the Nation and participatory politics |
We need to start propagating public private partnership (PPP) for economic drive and infrastructural development. Its a national emergency that we create new cities across the nation. New cities begets new markets, new schools, new opportunities etc. We need to start negotiating alternative source of energy on national scale. We need a robust national housing plan and active implementation to decongest strangling cities by creating new ones. We need to compliment the speed rail lines with combustible coal driven rails since we have the raw material (coal) and routes only needs reactivation. Entrepreneurial incentive have to go beyond #5000 patrimonies and focus on grants, empowerments, soft loans and subsidization of materials where necessary. State and community policing should be one of the major restructuring tenets. Government has to improve the purchase and redistribution of agricultural mechanisation equipments for easy reach of growing and interested agriculturists and at a subsidized rent rate too. Small and medium scale enterprises needs empowerment and protection for they do not only contribute to economic growth but the only sector viable enough to handle our unemployment problems to a reasonable extent. Alternate routes of land transportation, reconstruction and maintenance of existing ones is a national emergency. If PPP can be reasonably negotiated, we can sacrifice toll fees for better and safer travels, indirect taxes through the transport companies could also be effective. There has to be a holistic reorganization of educational system. Our educational system has to be practical driven & issue based rather than theories and conjectures. We need to determine the composition of white cola to blue cola jobs, their growth percentage for at least 2 decades and act on them. Add your own and constructively criticise the ones enumerated above You can also bring peculiarities with respect to zones and state needs |
hisgrace090:They will definitely come to their senses but posterity won't forget this unsportsmanship |
Their ego, pride and selfishness is getting in their way reasoning but they won't succeed. Though Atiku need them to lock down southeast but any attempt to tamper with Obi will result to unimaginable electoral apathy |
I bring you greetings from every Igbo youth who wishes to write this letter to you but somehow are yet to get their fingers on their keyboards/pads. I write this letter with a heavy heart like a son whom has been betrayed by his father. I read with outmost disbelief and disappointment a purported press release after your emergency meeting in Enugu yesterday that I caught a fever immediately. Igbo youths have overtime been confronted with the rhetoric of Igbo enwe Eze and have always been mocked with supposed self-centeredness and pull him down syndrome of Igbo nation within her ranks and unfortunately your recent actions and utterances have done nothing but to validate these negative stereotypes. Your strong displeasure on not being consulted for the choice of Peter Obi as Atiku's running mate is nothing but criminal, satanic, devilish, treachery and total abuse of position of influence. If I may ask: How many of you is a product of consultation? How many of you appointed your cabinet through consultations? How many of you appointed your aids through consultations? Etc Your claim that PDP VP slot was zoned to South East is too bogus and too irresponsible to be coming from a committee of men who should know better. Its an open secret that the VP slot was only zoned to the South and since the PDP national chairman is from South South, it was a 50-50 chance for southeast and South west and most importantly at the discretion of the presidential flag bearer therefore its mischievous to feed us with fake news and half baked lie that it was zoned to Southeast. It is a well known practice all over the world that once a flag bearer emerges from a party he/she reserves the right to chose a running mate whose interest aligns and has what it takes to help achieve their collective mandate so where did you invent the new procedure of stakeholders consultation and possibly allowing you to chose for the candidate? The fact that you weren't consulted is one of the main reasons we are supporting Atiku in the first place. We need a president who is his own man not one to be dictated for who he should run with, we need a president that will take actions out of convictions and not out of pressure nor sentiment, we need a president that has clear cut agenda on what he wants at all time not one that ran with a mate he doesn't know his name. Atiku gave us a glimpse of hope by winning the presidential primaries without the endorsement of any state governor which is a paradigm shift from the overbearing influence of governors in past administrations which is one of the critical factors that led to GEJ's underperformance. That Atiku chose Obi without consultation as you tagged it further oiled our conviction that he is ready for work and is going to be the president of the people not of the elites alone. Talking of consultations, before you gladiators rushed to the emergency meeting did you consult us the ordinary citizens who are stakeholders in your various states and constituencies to know our stand on the development since you are meant to be representing us? Listen to your environment and you will perceive the wind of happiness flowing around When I first read governor Umahi's claim I thought it was a joke but now its obvious that its a handshake above the elbow. If any of you is feeling threatened that Obi's choice has thwarted your future political calculations, you have more reasons to fear because we are coming to take over from you sooner than expected but for now you all need to swallow your ego, pride and personal interest to work for the greater good of Ndigbo and Nigeria at large. I am writing this by 3am because I can't sleep as a result of your betrayal but there is still time to make ample amends. Atiku/Obi are going to be voted in by ordinary citizens of Nigeria and any attempt to scuttle it for selfish reasons will be vehemently resisted by Igbo youths. Ekwueme Ifeanyichukwu Roy |
codedguy1:Its becoming worrisome that anti APC and BMC post hardly get on front page. If Seun have forgotten his business and gone outrightly partisan we might do ourselves a favour and change base after all NNU is paying people for reading news and posting good threads. |
Moderator why is this not on front page? Sensing partisanship |

Let's restructure Nigeria for good. Atiku is the better alternative |
Most most important mandate is booting out this disastrous government |
collinshush:Osun election is a pointer that Tinibu and co won't have it easy come 2019 PDP need to consolidate that ground my matching APC an eye for an eye there. First thing first win the election and then distribute positions. Atiku ain't Buhari that has no friend in the East |
Awol1:One of the things APC used to campaign against PDP in southwest in 2015 was that PDP neglected representative wise not infrastructure wise. Our brothers from the west can sometimes be easily swayed by little Emotions and any arrangement that will allow APC to have block votes from any part of the South will be suicidal for PDP. |
peter1994: Bethel4Life:South east is more interested in governance and political participation more than political representation. Buhari has never hidden his disdain for Ndigbo so whatever he does to please Ndigbo will be seen as mere Pacification for election purpose which will not hold water. If his candidature could not sell in the East in 2015 where every propaganda was reincarnated to proclaim his Messiah and Mr integrity he can't be repackaged now that he is an established failure. Breezes have blown and now everyone has seen the fowl nyash. Join the movement to rescue Nigeria |
NOW, HERE IS MY THOUGHT ON PDP VICE PRESIDENTIAL SLOT: First, the PDP must be careful not to start fighting over the sharing formula for the animal whose body is still in the forest, alive. Every effort should be on how to kill the animal first and bring it home. So the Party must be strategic and not allow mawkish sentimentality guide it here. Strategically speaking, the PDP does not need to worry about placating the Southeast with the VP slot. That will amount to wasting scarce resources making an ally of one who is already your ally. Ndigbo have no intention of voting for Buhari for obvious reasons. So giving them the VP slot won't bring any extra electoral value to the PDP. Ndigbo are like that male child who, having lost his father, doesn't really care who remarried his mother as long as he keeps getting the chicken leg his late father used to gift him with every festive season. The "chicken leg" here represents a level playing field. An average Igbo man wants nothing but a level playing field where he can actualize his full potentials. Any other strategic position will do for Ndigbo. The South South, of course, has the PDP chairmanship slot already. With the two region already in the bag for the PDP, plus the herdsmen ravaged Middle Belt to some reasonable degree, the party needs to focus on splitting Yoruba votes by all means possible. Most Yoruba progressive are fully aware that the position of the VP in the current APC govt is nothing but meaningless tokenism which has only benefitted Tinubu and company Nigerian Limited. With a very influential Yoruba as the VP, PDP has a very good chance of getting reasonable votes from the region as all those uncomfortable with Bola Tinubu's influence in the Southwest will see it as a good opportunity to break his greedy hold. COMING TO THE NORTH AS A WHOLE , The biggest political capital Buhari rely on is the fear factor which is a product of his strong hold on the Northern almajiri who see him as a god and are ever ready to spill blood for him. Good news is, he is not the only one who has control over Northern almajiris. Former Kano state governor Musa Kwankwanso and his Jigawa state counterpart Sule Lamido control the same if not more number of almajiris combined. It was Kwankwanso who pulled almost 2million votes for Buhari as governor during the 2015 Kano magic votes. He would later boast how he used almajiris to remove Jonathan. Aminu Tambuwa as a sitting governor at the heart of the caliphate (Sokoto) should be able to bring something to the table. Should all the Presidential Aspirants, who are all Northerners, agree to pull their material, human, financial as well as almajiri resources to work for the success of Atiku, no amount of naked manipulation will save the lifeless one from going back to his cows in 2019. Buhari will try to rig with the help of INEC and the Transmission police IG who coincidentally was the Kano state police Chief under whose watch the Kano INEC REC was burnt to ashes alongside his family in what some people claim was an attempt to cover up the 2 million magic vote in 2015. But I believe that the ex Generals plus the Aspirants are not unaware of the fact that Buhari will finish them if he gets a second term so I like to believe that seeing as they are masters in the game of rigging themselves, they have a plan to use their international clouts to checkmate Buhari's rigging plan. Again, the election will be held simultaneously so there will be no 30,000 policemen per state for Mr transmission to use in intimidating opposition members. Atiku campus mobilisers is a community of young intellectuals and students with mission to counter the rhetoric of planted and unplanted young presidential aspirants whom knowingly or unknowingly are planning to divide southern votes especially through appealing to students community with their youthfulness even when they know they have no structure to win election. We also want to reach out to northern literates on the need for a working country for all. What happened in Osun state is a pointer that vote division is tantamount to working for Buhari indirectly and we have a mandate not to allow anyone to do an Omisore to Nigeria come 2019. Atiku Abubakar is the only reliable option to send this lifeless government packing and we won't allow anyone to succeed in playing the spoiler. Join the community today and follow us rob minds on how to expand this to all campuses and the best strategy to preach it youth to youth. https://www./782799132051286/ We have recorded a good number of converts, please join the movement let's lay a platform to rescue Nigeria and enthrone Atiku Abubakar for a working, restructured and distribalised Nigeria |
Will be back |
The constitution supersedes the Electoral law. Any law that contravanes the the constitution should be set aside. Supremacy of the constitution should never be questioned |
This is not just about Omisore's integrity but his conscience towards his people. He and Ademola have common enemies in Ogbeni and jagagban, he has lost the election already but can still help to actualize change of power which he craved for. I hope he will make the right choice and I wish him well. Win or lose APC have now realized that southwest is no longer their take home. 400,000 plus protest vote wow! Long live Federal Republic of Nigeria I Stand with PDP come 2019, it's a rescue mission |

The other side of the southern young presidential aspirants. The passage of not too young to run bill and its eventual Presidential assent was greeted with much ado, jubilation and of course expectations but before we all get carried away we should analyse how this could also be manipulated to short change the wish of the majority. Before I continue I want to note that though majority of Nigerian's eligible voters may not want Buhari back come 2019, he can still win by playing divisive politics afterall politics of divide and rule has always been the sward of the tyrants. If anyone can self sincerely tell us that he/she believes Sowore Moghalu or Durutoye can win the presidency come 2019 or even that the aforementioned candidates believes in themselves winning the presidency is delusional at least. Our greatest concern as patriotic Nigerians is that the nation is not working presently and the crop of people in power do not possess the capacity to turn Nigeria around but rather possess all the attributes needed to successfully drown Nigerian therefore 2019 shouldn't be for popularity experimentation, it should be a collective mandate to rescue Nigeria from the shackles of cabal colonization. I need not remind you that Buhari core northern supporters neither reads news published in English nor are they in social media platforms, whether we his adversaries like to admit it or not Buhari has over 10million votes in the bank from the core north, the only chance of defeating him relies on a candidate who can flaw him mercilessly in southeast,South south and cease advantage of his mundane handling of herdsmen crises and defeat him in the north central while south west will become a battle of grab I grab. With the influx of the third force candidates, the south faces the danger of dividing their votes like never before and handing Nigeria back to the cabals on a plater of gold. Fela is a motivational speaker and sure will motivate thousands to vote him but don't forget it will only be thousands of southern votes. Kingsley is a technocrat and a strategist he will surely raise a free thinking thousands of southern votes. Omoloye is a publisher and an activist and will surely activate thousands of southern votes to his side. All southern votes Build up to 2015 election saw Omolye's saharareporters emerge the champion of anti government pro people reports, they discovered so many shady deals that happened under the previous administration and as well invented propagandas against same government to dam her image, interestingly build up to 2019 where we are in worse situation and their boss an aspirants for the presidency, premium times is the daily with balls to investigate and report the governments shadiness and inadequacies while Sahara reporters is more of cautionary and reactionary. If Sowore, Moghalu and Durutoye are contesting for presidency to create popularity for future political aspirations and appointments, they should be reminded that saving Nigeria from this cabals is of more important than their personal interests because there might not be a Nigeria for them to actualize their future ambition if we continue on this dangerous path. question: what's the possibility that Sowore is indirectly working for this government by his quest to divide southern votes just like he indirectly worked for them in previous election through in negative reporting and props against previous administration?
