fistonati:Where on earth has a particular belief with over ten thousand followers been successfully wiped out? Violence beget violence. This is why learned men preach peace. You can only defeat reasoning with superior reasoning. This noble truth is hard for Africans to learn. |
Those who support extra-judicial killings will one day be victims of one. Injustice anywhere threatens justice everywhere. Say no to extra -judicial killings, whether by th soldiers, police or civilians |
Pius is a hypocrite. Canada values transparency Nigeria does not. If what happens in Canada takes place in Nigeria, believe me, no single politician will be innocent be you APC or PDP or whatever. |
Eziachi:Your post would have been sensible if you used simple and decent dictum. Many people may fail to understand the message but in truth, you are correct |
For those who read but do not understand, no one is expecting PMB to turn around the economy of the nation in 6 months. Many experts are just waiting for him to launch his economic blueprint to boost the confidence of the stakeholders. Presently the is total stop, vagueness and entropy in the national economic landscape. So annoying |
rareman:Which point does he have? Biafran agitators are asking for peaceful not forceful dissolution of the federation. Why do people equate fight for self determination to war mongering?. This agitation can take as far as a century to come to pass and threat to destruction can not stop it. Afterall it took over 100 years for boko haram to come to be. Did the writer take this into consideration? |
I took time to read this article to see a strong reason that will defeat Biafran agitation. Unfortunately, I found none. Nigeria really lacks intellectuals in domestic affairs. All the points raised by many anti Biafrans are what this great pastor unashamedly repeated in this long epistle.I do not, and will never support Biafran agitation but I will never oppose it with these opinionated and shallow reasons. |
gists:But among all the names you mentioned, no one of them ever claimed to fight for God. |
Igbo biafra agitators are delusional, their hero Kanu hides and the idiots goes to the street in protest. To me between someone like Rev. Mbaka and Kanu or Nwanzuruike, I will take Rev. Mbaka as a hero. This is where Yorubas outstand the Igbos, they don't celebrate someone who arose unrealistic agitation, but they celebrate people that gives realistic value, purpose and vision. Well if the igbos wants both the economic and development in their region to crumble giving to this useless agitation, then they have my support 100%, they should even take it to the next level, let the region become the next point with boko haram experience. When it happens we drive the Igbos in the south west back to their region.
Though I hate this Biafra agitation, yet I don't think it is delusional for someone protesting for what he believes in. It is more civil and mature to protest than to be armed against the state. It is not every protest that yields result but at least some people have succeeded in registering their grievances. If every protest gives result, Abiola would have ruled Nigeria. Again, let me tell you, there is no tribe better than another in Nigeria. All you see around is a sporadic uncoordinated facade of developments. Ask your self a question; Is there any tribe that experience steady electricity better than the others? Or those that have steady supply of petrol, quality education, healthcare facilities or efficient security network. All tribes suffer thesame under development evident in today Nigeria. Stop this stupid comparing of tribes taking place in Nairaland. Here in Australia, the Whiteman does not know the difference between Tribes in Nigeria. Nigeria remains a developing country whether your tribe is better of than other people or not. |
Ferdinandu:Can you give us example of nations that created grazing zones and handover such zones to locals untrained in modern mechanized agriculture? |
Dead on arrival. It is either grazing reserve or death. Fulanis rule Nigeria and their word is law. Otherwise, how could they be plundering Benue/ Plateau over the years and great leaders from those region have never seen anything bad about it. Can someone tell me what Gowon, Danjuma or Abubakar Tsav had ever said condenming these ethnic cleansing taking place across North Central Nigeria. Their voices are loudest when it involves Biafra. |
But in honesty, Lai Mohammed should refine his utterances. His statements as a Minister of the Federal Republic should be more decent than what it used to be as APC Spokesman. International community would always qoute his statements which might expose Nigeria's seriousness in the issue of governance. |
Its just a matter of time, I believe that Nigeria will be great again. |
Its just a matter of time. I am optimistic, Nigeria will be great again. |
Its just a matter of time. Nigeria will be great again |
She resembles Pastor Chris |
How can recurrent expenditure jump from N3T in 2015 to N6T in 2016. If the capital expenditure is N2T as against N1.5T in 2015, then the net budgetary value stands at N0.5T.Let it not be that those recurrent expenditures that are not captured in previous budgets are now lumped in to the new budget to make it look like more money is being generated. |
godox2:Dear, I know you want to be patriotic and I believe that you are sincere in your analysis, honestly, a good leader is one who achieved a lot with a meagre resource. It has happened in many countries. I can only mention Singapore, Malaysia and South Korea. Our amiable president has no reason to fail if he had a good economic team and with the guts to fight corruption holistically. |
omenka:I don't want to criticize our amiable president but I think you are illogical in this post. When the fight against corruption becomes selective, the two immediate consequences are either revolt or total disappearance of the opposition as every corrupt politician will latch onto APC. which is democratically unhealthy. |
Now the question which tribe is the educated is now answered. Let those lagging behind wake up and those already in front keep it up. |
The day criticism stops marks the day humans stop developing. Infact, in academics, your ability to criticize makes you a good scholar. In leadership, ability to manage criticism makes one a great leader. Obama and every other world leader irrespective of their achievements still endured criticism. Lovers of PMB should be happy about every criticism because it keeps him on his toes and helps him perform better. Except blind followers, every other friend will criticize the govt at one point in the life of an administration. Enough of this name calling and undue bashing of the opposition. |
There is nothing spectacular about Igbo/Igala relationship. All humans originated from thesame parents. All theories of origin of humans both religion and science points to that. What should be of more interest should be how closely related or how intrinsically resembled. Remember, after the first parents, we have the second parents, Cain ( representing haters) and Abel (representing lovers). So, you are a descendant of whom, Cain or Abel? |
Even as he is being jailed, others are still planning to defraud others. The most painful aspect of fraud is that one will not be able to invest the money in a profitable venture. Smh for fraudsters. |
I wonder why some people cannot sleep except they interpret every move of politicians. For the records, Nigeria politics has remained unpredictable. Anyone predicting Nigeria politics is bound to fail. It is the more you look, the less you see. |
Money has changed hands. Every issue is settled with nods. |
Again! Oh my God! |
Politicians can never be separated from lies. |
This can't be true! What! With American troops in Cameroon, South African mercenary in Nigeria and Lafyi Dole together with the military headquarters moved to Maiduguri, Boko Haram are yet to be defeated? So sad. |
YoruBanger:The money is not the problem. A civil servant will also stand for him. I wonder if there is any reasonable civil servant ready to take such risk. |
Am still baffled how Nigerians still wish and pray for the country to become better. I have read world history and religious books, there was no nation that got it right through wishes and prayers without attendant social actions. |
