I am still baffled how Nigerians still wish and pray that things get better in the country. Having read world history and religious books, there is no nation that got it right with wishes and prayers without attendant social actions. |
This Oliseh vs Enyeama issue is yet to die down? The truth is that Oliseh got it all wrong. He knew that Enyeama is still pained by the sack of Keshi. He needed to thread softly to win the confidence of the players before any structural changes. The fight is for supremacy and was really ill timed. |
Islam only becomes devilish when it has majority and is allowed to thrive. As a minority, muslims are fun people to be with.[/quote FUN people? |
Oliseh meant well for Super Eagles, but his approach to the issue of captaincy is definitely wrong. No one who has played football to a professional level will support Oliseh's approach to this problem. |
It seems Buhari has yet to learn the true Power of Presidency. The constitution does not support appointing ministers by batch. They should show us where it is written that all ministers must be appointed once. Bunch of thieves. Just ignore them and start using Permanent Secretaries in place of Ministers let their deputies act as the perm sec. Appoint trusted hands in the civil service as perm secs and communicate your economic policies to them . Its not mandatory that you must have ministers. When the whole country gets tired of the Senators we will demand for the quick confirmation.[/quote See, there is something that you are missing. There are certain decisions that cannot be unilaterally taken by the President except it is discussed and ratified by FEC, which the ministers are members. PMB needs a cabinet to function constitutionally. |
If Amaechi scales through this, it means he had been active in all successive administrations in Nigeria since 1999. First as an assembly member/speaker - 8yrs, Governor -8yrs, Minister _4yrs. He had only David Mark to compete with. What a record! |
Ok |
ahasiwaju:You are a blatant liar. America does not condone corruption. If it happened the way you said it, American people will not keep quiet. Haliburton case comes to mind. Once again YOU ARE A PATHOLOGICAL LIAR. Before the advent of this administration, PDP supporters used to fill nairaland with all manner of propaganda. Now APC supporters have taken over. Nigeria keeps sliding to a failed state. Hope PMB succeed in salvaging our natio |
Truth be told. Buhari would have achieved a lot if he had named his economic team 3 months ago. This losses being recorded in the national economy will hunt his government in the long run. |
Jesus!!! |
Bobbystanley:You got it wrong. These vandals are criminals of Ijaw origin. They are not sent by Ijaw nation to attack Nigerians. Even Ijaws are victims to their criminality. They were out of business during GEJ tegime because oil was not flowing then because refineries were not working and the pipeline was always dry |
Wait and see |
I read through this thread and what I can deduce from it is that some regions want autonomy because they feel shortchanged in the sharing of the national resources. However, some regions do not want this autonomy to happen and they have not stated the reason for not supporting the agitation. I think it is other section of Nigeria that are terrorists not the agitators because every man has right to self-determination |
Some people derail a thread without good reasons. The topic of this thread is; GEJ could not salvage an already mismanaged nation. This should be seen as being different from; GEJ destroyed this nation. Some media houses and some group of citizens were accused of this misinformation. |
DaBullIT:Is this post the best answer you can give say a foreigner who asked you about Biafran agitation? You Nigerians claim to be more educated than the rest of Africans, but you sound hollow and sloppy when offering solution to your domestic problems |
Nigeria has never been well managed since 1979. All these 1980 boys who do not know their history think that Nigeria had everything going well until Jonathan came to power. The worst Nigerian leader ever in history is Babangida, Abacha, Obasanjo 2nd tenor and GEJ in that order. Jonathan worked very well only that he had opposition from the outset and being the first civilian born to a peasant family, to rule Nigeria, he could not muster enough courage to steer the ship of the nation. Exploiting GEJ weaknesses, many members of his cabinet did what other officials before them used to do - looting the treasury |
