I don't understand this statement.... Its not that the service chiefs did anything spectacular to prevent violence during the elections... Its the people of the state.... What the government of the day should be asking.. Why was there so much bloodshed prior to the elections.. And all of a sudden. The killings stopped immediately after the elections?

What is the DSS job again sef?

It's great to see such men embrace their culture... It gives hope to an ever dying African culture that's being destroyed by Western influence.

Outsiders have written many books and essays about African culture, with a number of these publications being inaccurate and disparaging.

This has led many Africans to adopt the same incorrect terminology and have the same beliefs.

Let us correct some of these inaccuracies.

African culture/religion is incorrectly referred to be ancestor worship.

This is incorrect because Africans do not revere their ancestors who have passed away.

It is true that long-dead relatives are said to live on and exhibit interest in their living relatives.

These families may demonstrate their faith by erecting shrines to the departed and leaving food or drink there or on their graves, as well as mentioning them in their prayers.

Also, once in a while, African culture permits the celebration of traditional dancing or some sort of Masquerade or mmanwu festivals, just like the one that happened in this video which took place in Agbgudu, Udi, Enugu state.

These expressions of reverence for the deceased, however, do not imply that they are being worshipped; rather, they demonstrate people's view that the departed of up to four or five generations should not be forgotten.

Acts of worship (such as sacrifices and prayers) are only a part of the African religion.

A little element of a larger religious system cannot be considered whole.

Thus, it is incorrect to refer to the African religion as "ancestor worship."

Good day naira landers

Some time ago I was watching a Tv program and I saw kids come to exhibit their respective cultures,I saw them wear costumes of their cultures or tribes, but the place that got my attention was when they now start asking them to speak their language,mehnnn....come and see, these kids cannot even know the basic things and what it is called in their languages.

I took notice of that, and I see it as a problem, we live in a world where there is a fast transmission of cultures, there is a high rate of transculturation but that's not just it,some cultures are beginning to die off, some are greatly endangered because they so much paved way to some other cultures and have began to see the death of their own cultures.

These days most modern parents term their own cultures, fetish, evil, local and all sorts of downgrading names, what they don't know is that what they call foreign cultures are just cultures of some other people whom are proud of what they have and they proudly market it.

These parents see speaking their own languages as offensive, they see calling their kids local names or native names as below their status, they would rather bear an Asian name they know nothing about than theirs and you even see them proud of it,I am waiting for the day a pure Chinese will bear the name Ebuka,Tope or Hassan...

This thing is not funny, if we don't do something about this,we will one day have most of our values disappear without a trace, and it's happening now

Its called globalisation.... The problem is the globalisation process is one directional... Most people.. Especially Africans are copying the Western world... And not vive versa.... I started with colonialism... They brainwashed us into thinking we are inferior....

Then they used religion.... And now, they are using democracy....

They said our masquerades are fetish and backwards... But they believe in santa-claus, tooth fairy and even Halloween.....

They said polygamy isn't from God.... But they Marry, divorce, and remarry at the twinkle of an eye...

The biggest fallacy was portraying Jesus as a white and the devil black or red....

Africans... Make una wake up
Christianity EtcRe: Muhammad Humiliated A Blind Man For This Stupid Reason by MRSAWEDOFF: 9:31pm On Nov 22, 2021
AllahIsShit:
In the koran, a story is told of how Muhammad humiliated one of his followers, a blind man called Abdullah bin Umm-Maktum who interrupted him when he was meeting with the rich and powerful leaders of the idol worshippers.

And what did Abdullah the Blind Man want from Muhammad which was so bad? Abdullah was only begging his prophet to teach him islam. Abdullah stood up and said: O Messenger of Allah, teach me of that which Allah has taught you But because Abdullah was blind, he could not see that his beloved prophet was entertaining some distinguished and high ranking visitors at the time.

As can be seen in the relevant tafseer, Muhammad was embarrassed by Abdullah's presence because he thought that the rich and powerful rulers would see Abdullah and conclude that Muhammad's followers were made up of "poor lowly and blind slaves." The Tafseer actually says that "signs of annoyance" appeared on Muhammad's face because he was deeply embarrassed by Abdullah Bin Umm Maktum's presence.

When Muhammad's followers heard about the incident, resentment began to grow among them over the mean and callous way that their fellow muslim had been mistreated for the benefit of unbelievers.

So how did Muhammad get out of this predicament? Did he perform a miracle and restore Abdullah's sight like Jesus would have done? No. Instead allah (who was also powerless to restore Abdullah's sight) revealed a very convenient koranic verse which made excuses for Muhammad's crude behaviour towards Abdullah:

So rather than punish Muhammad for his behaviour, allah revealed a verse which said that whenever muhammad sees Abdullah in the future, he should just say: “Welcome to the one about whom my Lord has rebuked me!”

This is simply more evidence that Islam is a joke masqurading as a religion and it cannot be taken seriously by anyone with a functional brain.

Dance, décor, drumming, music, song, and costumes are essential components of any Igbo dramatic, religious, or secular performance, such as the Mmanwu/Masquerade festival.

When utilized together, these actions can be used as a medium, for the actors and or performers to communicate with their ancestors and summon spiritual energy.

Through dance and music, Igbo communities have passed on their traditions and heritage, as well as the narratives and metaphors that have bound their society together for centuries.

Masks are commonly utilized in dance and song performances, such as the Mmanwu festival festivities, to re-create and symbolize the spirit dancers' impersonation characters.

Masquerades and the acts that accompany them so reflect the community's history as well as the political, social, and economic forces that create its existence.

Almost all ancestral dances are masked/masquerade dances because they specify or depict the functions of ancestors that are not visible to people.
