akinyemmzy: Gentlemen I feel I need to write this to boost your morale, it can be very sad and painful after going through so much stress and rigour of the screening only not to be selected. I can only imagine what it took a whole lot of you just to even be present, the joy alone from friends, family, spouses and girlfriends that you were selected for interview only to be dropped. Gentlemen do not give up, if the system looks flawed to you the way and manner u beat the system is entirely your business.
I personally came for 64RC,65RC,66RC,67RC SSC 45 and 46. I was bitter all through until 46 and guess what I only discovered that it was God's appointed time. As a matter fact I would have regretted a whole lot of things if I had be selected in the other courses. God factor extremely important.
Be grateful for your current position, be grateful for where you are now. Be grateful you are alive. As a matter of fact how would your parents feel after gaining admission and they learnt you died, Got blind or got injured during the training and was sent back home. Such happened Gentlemen and the psychological effects alone I can only imagine. ACA is not a childs play as you are trained physically and emotionally to kill and go through possibly the most difficult and trying times of your life. I have very Good friends here and they never Give up. @Ugo4u is an example. The joy of wanting to become an officer guides your foresight narrowly to not know what is ahead of you, some will do better than being in the Army, do not loose hope.
The Army is optimistic about your Generation, success is sweeter when there is failure. Congratulations to those selected, we will be seeing more often than none,I only wish you know what is coming your way and maybe u might just survive. The earlier you make up your mind there the better. Pls carry nothing less than 10-15 blue shorts and if possible 15- 20 white shirts. If you are using a size 44 please buy a size 45 or 46 canvas( 2 size ahead of your initial size) buy a canvas u can wash easily and pls buy like 3 canvas and sow it round. Prepare you mind and I wish u all the best. Feel free to message if u need any help, guidance or have a question. Please take note of the bolded. |

Vuresolo: Stop being bitter for no reasons, there was massive fowl play in that falgore, But with that Bp, the Sgt checked me twice and the last one making it 3 times he asked me to breathe in then relax and he did it again and it was ok.. No wonder, how many people were checked 3 times or given the rare privilege given to you. I was flagged for Bp also without any review. It's a pity you feel a short changed candidate is bitter for no reason. |

Blueelf: Bro, it's not even wise arguing with people who weren't there.
Those BP readings were flawed and the officials knew this. However, they wanted to reduce population by all means necessary and couldn't think if another fair way of doing so.
It is quite painful. I spoke to a colonel about my experiences online and he was really saddened at what the NA has become.
Imagine people who didn't even write the exams being screened too. Some failed and yet they were allowed at the screening grounds because of 5G connection.
Baba, there's something seriously wrong with this country. The earlier our Leaders come to terms with this reality, the better.
Imagine someone like Major Adanu in the army. That man doesn't even look fit and yet I can imagine that someone fitter was dropped for him. That's Naija for you.
I mean, some recruitments should be sacred due to the sensitive nature of the job, yet the NA allowed politicians to bastardize their recruitment. Why won't we struggle with boko haram and iswap? Henceforth, I've lost all pity for our service chiefs since they know the right thing to do and have refused to do it. They have refused to recruit fairly, procure the right weapons etc and yet they are looking for sympathy from Nigerians. They don't deserve any. One would just keep on wondering how the bolded managed to make shirt? People would never learn until same faith befalls them. |

This thread is supposed to be a resource center but the manner in which people are assuming go make them taste similar faith.
Why una think say men lockup after the screening? Most of us were battling with post Falgore traumatic syndrome.
About 60 percent of the population were dropped on Bp issues without review.
A case study is that of the white horse from Yobe during SSC screening. The guy was diagnosed with HBp ( about 200 or so) yet in almost all the races they ran, he came first. How can a person with such Bp run 10km and about 60km cumulatively and still be alive. Guess what, he was dropped also due to HBp.
I personally know of a very fit intelligence non commissioned officer from my state, who was an instructor during the RRI screening at Falgore, yet the Baba was screened out for Bp.
No doubt destiny played a special role in everything, notwithstanding, almost the whole process was flawed. |

Blueelf: She is not totally wrong
During my medicals, my BP measured 114/60 and yet i was screened out on grounds of high BP.
Funny, isn't it?
That's your country for you I just taya @Blueelf. People go just Siddon deh assume. Weh people Bp de read 200 and above sef and no review. |

odimbannamdi: The way things are going, soon people will be conscripted to join the Army. The morale is really dropping on every subsequent course. If it were in the "good old days", this place would have been agog with activities immediately they published the final list.
The Army should do better in social media management and emotional intelligence (especially as regards treatment of candidates during screening. This last screening left a lot to be desired).
Congratulations to our latest Cadets. We sincerely wish you all the very best in training and during the job.
Cheers guys! Well said bro. I just wonder how some people generalise things. If we were to spill what happened in Falgore mhen most of you here would shed tears. |

Kaeboy: Can you please explain better? Why was he retired? There was this candidate disturbing everyone in camp. He says " have you heard of Lt MN Ebor?" I am Lt MN Ebor. But after medicals was announced, someone said Lt MN Ebor and he replied "retired" That's how a prospective Lt was retired before commissioning. Tales of Falgore no be here. If you no go, you no go know. |
