Roger that.

Going by past antecedence, army usually gives two weeks after shortlisting before commencement of screening but lets say they make it one week. Interview list would probably be out on or before 21st of November.

Registration closes on 28th September. Between 28th September and November 21st we have about 54 days( approximately 8 weeks) for the invitation and marking of the much awaited almighty weeding exams.

We should be expecting to write the exams on or before 24th of October.
Four weeks for sorting, lobbying and preparation of exam list and four weeks for marking and reassortment(insertions) of final interview list.

Come to think of it, could the update on the portal be our password for CBT, could the 8 weeks be for a proper conduct of the CBT?

Signal for screening don deh but that of exam no deh, naija..............

Prospect048:
so love this piece...

Thanks boss.

While in the bathroom, I received an inspiration. i was thinking about all the missed opportunities and the years spent so far in search of my dream job. i had just gotten information that a close pal had just resumed DSS training, the same guy we attended the 2018 DSS exams. i was beginning to think like I had been forgotten by powers that be, then a thought poped in; what if I fall dead in the bathroom at that moment, what would matter to me most?
Then i realised, what will matter is whether i make heaven or hell. I also realised how God has favoured me over my contemporaries and kept me alive.
Officers, the list will come out just like it has in the past but no matter where you fall, please endeavour to glorify God for he is the best of planners.
Pray and press buttons if you can but accept whatever the outcome is in good faith.
Thanks to those colleagues who have lent me a helping hand am most grateful.
Wishing us all the very best.
Victory is From God Alone.

asambo10:
I pray we will get that call soon.

Amin. Nothing is impossible for God.
Mind you one guy is been begged to resume camp but im deh think about am.

spetsnaz:
Fact.
On paper they're not supposed to, but what is on ground is totally different from what's in the books. DSSC officers in Engineering, AME and Signal Corps are usually the "Unlucky" guys that find themselves leading men for operations.
It is not uncommon, infact it's the norm in the northeast there many ungoverned spaces and the army is highly understaffed especially in the officer cadre. As far as this job is concerned only female officers will ever know peace that doesn't still exempt them from being posted to the north east but they will never be drafted to the fronts, they are always in a fortified base and even at that when there is any signal concerning an impeding attack female officers will be evacuated or airlifted while the men will stay and fight. This has being the standard ever since bokoharam captured some female soldiers years ago. Whether DSSC or SSC you are a combatant as far as army is concerned they don't even care if you are a Chaplain or Imam. Who no come no go understand.

Chan sir, please for God's sake do you have any idea what the exams will entail? I trust your Intel Lt.

Still awaiting your responses SIrs

Is the delay to be expected?

Search for Nigerian Army on Facebook and send them a message explaining the problem you are facing. All the best.

Arisukuni:
Brotherly, Asallam Alaykum waramotullah wabarakatuhu. Trust you are doing well.

Please I have a question for you; from your experience on NA DSSC, have you come across someone at the selection board whose course was not advertised but was shortlisted with the course he/she applied with.

I await your response Sir.

Wa Alaikumsalam Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuhu.

Yes, it's possible. The course of the best cadet during the last DSSC was not advertised, so it's possible.
Note: this thread is strictly for Department of State Security (DSS). If need be talk to me on the army thread.
Apologies to all detectives.

QuadrilAyinde:
I'm actually afraid I MIGHT BE MORE THEORETICAL in my dealings... Funny Enough, I dont kinda believe that a direct attack against this BOKO-ISWAP people is the Right way... There are ways to LURE TERRORISTS INTO DEATH TRAP... It is well

"Unavoidably faced with adversity"
Adversity: a difficult or unpleasant situation. Be it ambush, surprise attack, mop up operation gone bad and what have you.
As an intending DSSC officer, going by the books I will hardly command troops but based on reality, I most probably would taste the north east, so am just preparing myself just incase situation warrants.
The moment a commanding officer shows fear, he has already killed his soldiers even before engaging the insurgents.
I just pray this country is worth the blood of Abu Ali, Sakaba, Mangojuice just to mention but a few of the fallen heroes.
Victory is from God alone.

One of my probable commands if I make it to the theatre of war and am unavoidably faced with adversity.
"Gentle men officers, you are the strongest, the bravest and the most courageous men I have had the opportunity to lead. Our souls shall taste death but most definitely not today. I led you here alive and I command everybody to stay alive"
Victory is from God alone!
No mind me ooo, moral just high me kawai.
