Martino |
montelik: Exactly. But it's only natural to. Considering what is available out there we can't really do better than fellaini. Only other option would be to not sign anyone and continue with this current midfield. |
According to sky sports "sources" We have improved our offer for Cesc today to £30M plus add ons.. ![]() |
Maybe it's me adjusting my standards but I really think he would work very well with Carrick in a 4-3-2-1 formation. |
You cannot compare Fellaini to Martinez at all. Martinez is still better although Fellaini is a very good player and to be honest Im not sure we can do better than him considering what's available. We really should stop making a fool out of ourselves with the other targets like Cesc and Bale and just get Fellaini. Fellaini still lacks disciple but hes a good player and can be a threat to alot of teams. |
Sad news about Tito, Hope he recovers well. |
Rumours about Tito Vilanova leaving so makes it even more unlikely that Cesc would leave now. |
I'm at a stage where I've resigned myself to the fact that Rooney is leaving the club. While I would prefer him to stay I think its obvious he's once again been advised very badly and will be leaving the club due to the position he's put himself in. Make no mistake, the club are also responsible but I've come to terms with it. I would still accept him if he stays but its obvious he's wants to leave as not once has he come out to re-affirm his commitment to the club since Sir Alex made the announcement that he wants to leave the club. I would only prefer that he is sold abroad. If he isnt, that's life after all we have RVP due to something similar. I would like the whole thing to be resolved asap one way or the other. We could make life very difficult for him and just let him sit out the rest of his contract and keep him with the reserves but Im not one to cut my nose to spite my face. It'll create a toxic atmosphere having a player around who doesn't want to be around. I hope we get rid asap and carry on with our own business and to stop making a fool out of ourselves with silly bids for players we have no chance of getting. |
I miss football. ![]() But this coming season is going to be long and hard for us. |
Well stop it, Fabregas isn't going anywhere. Secondly I'd rather not sell Rooney to Chelsea as he would strengthen them considerably not just on the field but commercially. I'd rather he went abroad since the relationship is damaged badly now. Also I'm a huge mata fan and if Jose doesn't want him I would gladly have mata in our squad as long as it doesn't mean Rooney going to Chelsea. |
Has Leon Osman rejected us yet? ![]() |
2nd rejection from another midfielder, don't worry we be down to Osman and Gibson soon enough. |
fabregas isn't happening, don't get your hopes up. |
elampiro: Sincerely that Paulinho is very good. But I heard Madrid are there already negotiating.Didn't he already sign for spurs? Anyways at this rate Southampton midfield will be bett than ours. I'm just waiting for the breaking news confirming scholes and phil Neville coming out of retirement to solve our midfield issues. ![]() |
I agree with proactive, but not looking at rejects. I see what you meant about the right type of players being available but they have to be the right players. It's going to be a tough season ahead. |
elampiro: Na wai! So I guess it was Thiago lacacera that has been helping us to top four and tittles? We no longer have the luxury of one of the greatest managers of all time. |
afrodoc: i have always had that opinion too ,i hope the board and manager dont disappoint this time.to the guy who said there are no alternatives to fellaini there are several disgruntled world class players at RM,Barca,Bayern etc right now.So we should waiting for the rejects of the other teams? |
Just heard Bayern has agreed a fee for thiago, meant to be 20mill euros. So no Strootman and no thiago. Is it Gibson,Osman and co we'll sign? ![]() |
Still dey siddon dey look while Moyesy softens us up and gets us used to defeats. |
chamotex: I banned himWhy? |
We will be get passed by all our rivals if we don't bolster the squad with at least 2 talented midfielders as we no longer have the advantage of having the greatest manager. |
No strootman? #moyesout ![]() |
Stop dreaming. There is zero chance of Bale or CR coming to united. |
Vidic not in the squad for the tour. RVP and Kagawa to join the tour later. |
I am not convinced the Rooney issue is resolved yet. No confirmation that Rooney himself has said he wants to stay. |
elampiro: He made brilliant saves in crucial matches that could have sent the results the other way. I saw it all.I 100% disagree with you. Barthez at united was a heady mix of brilliance and car crash viewing. He made some brilliant saves but he had some absolutely disasterous moments that most fans were voiding the bowels whenever he's near the ball. I can only assume you didn't watch united then. |
elampiro: On De Gea, Go back to my argument. I never for once said he didn't have potentials, I even said he will be world greatest in the future. But for now he causes me unnecessary panic I have not had in Man U for over a decade. Even till now, give me Julio Ceasar I will play him ahead of De Gea. I am yet to come out of that fear of him not able to deal with aerial balls. I saw same error in our match against Aston Villa or Arsenal, I can't remember vividly. It was a simple cross into his box without panic but he could not even hold it. That is my worry.Wow, so in the over a decade we have had the likes of Taibi,Barthez, Carroll, Bosnich etc you havent had any unnecessary panic caused by a man united keeper before DDG? ![]() |
You mean, let him actually buy someone? anyone? |
Left back is not even close to a priority. We should be sorting the thiagos, strootman and another midfield type first. There will be tears if our midfield remains the same at the start of the season. |
Nice of SAF to leave Moyes with that Rooney timebomb before leaving. ![]() |
Aaannnnnyways.... A few thoughts on the possible signing of thiago. In my mind, it's effectively a 5 year loan deal as we know he'll want to go back to Barca soon as he gets a chance. He'll be a top player for years so hopefully we'll get at least double the fee. I also find it funny Piqué is telling him to be patient like he and Cesc were patient when they moved to man utd/arsenal right? Cheeky monkeys! ![]() I am intrigued where we will play him though as I think his best position is from behind the main striker or am I wrong? He does sound like he plays a variety of positions pretty well so I hope he's happy playing on the left wing as that is the main spot of availability right now. |
chamotex: Can the season start already? For real though..feels like light years away. |
