Politics / Gani Adams: Daily Killings, Abductions Can Set Nigeria On Fire by MrTAnonymous(m): 11:23pm On May 09, 2021
Aareonakakanfo of Yorubaland, Gani Adams, on Sunday, warned the President, Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), against another civil war in Nigeria.

He noted that “God will not forgive President Muhammadu Buhari if Nigeria go to war again”.

Adams expressed worry at the growing

spate of insecurity across the country during his 51st birthday Thanksgiving programme held in Lagos.

He said that “calls for secession are genuine and legitimate”, adding that “such calls are pure demonstrations of Federal Government’s failure to address pressing issues that are capable of destroying the foundation and future of the country”.

Adams expressed displeasure at Buhari attitude to the myriads of security challenges in the country, pointing out that Nigeria has never had it so bad in history.

He regretted that killer bandits have taken over the country, noting that “daily killings and abductions can set the country on fire”.

He added that Buhari’s silence on security situation in the country is not golden, stressing that “the president’s body language is already fueling disunity in Nigeria”.

“With clear nepotism, corruption and insecurity, the future of this country hangs in the balance.

“Schools are being shut, churches, mosques are not spared. Bandits are gradually leading the country into a tailspin and the president seems to have been bereft of ideas.

“What we experience daily now in Nigeria is enough to set the country on fire. A section of the country lording itself over other sections. Yet they said we shouldn’t talk, that our calls for O’odua Republic was done in bad faith. How can you explain the killings, kidnappings and banditry spreading in North, East, West and South?

“One of the greatest problems of this government is nepotism. One begins to wonder why Mr. president is insensitive to the plights of others, especially, to the sorrow and agony of citizens losing loved ones to bloodshed. In sane climes, love transcends ethnic, racial or political boundaries. You must blink with pain to see people die or university students being killed amounts to cold-hearted indifference.”

Crime / Yomi Fabiyi To Protest If Baba Ijesha Is Not Granted Bail by MrTAnonymous(m): 2:03pm On May 09, 2021
Actor Yomi Fabiyi has demanded the release of Baba Ijesha from detention before Wednesday, May 12th, 2021.

According to him, it is a violation of human rights for the police to continue to detain Baba Ijesha without a court trial.

On his Instagram, Fabiyi wrote:
PEACEFUL PROTEST on Human Rights, Illegal Detention by Police coming up on Wednesday if the Police refuses to do the right thing and grant BABA IJESHA administrative bail which is his fundamental rights.

Any progressive state and society MUST respect the RIGHTS of others as enshrined under the law.

If you refuse to be concerned now, remember it could be you. FORCEFUL ARREST, ILLEGAL IMPRISONMENT is a major tool of OPPRESSION and POLICE BRUTALITY. We must protest against this vehemently.

Useless country. We can’t get even the most basic things right. Was the ban even necessary in the first place? Tell us what this has achieved besides disrupting businesses. You could have put policies in place, and monitor implementation without banning SIM card issuance.

What a bunch of morons we have as leaders. Lunatics. Nigeria is doomed under these bastards as leaders!

Our leaders are clueless.

Phones / We Are Yet To Receive Approval To Roll Out New SIM Cards - Network Providers by MrTAnonymous(m): 7:35pm On Apr 23, 2021
Network providers across the different telecommunications networks in Lagos say they are yet to receive approval to resume registration of the new Subscriber Identification Module (SIM).

The telecom operators made the disclosure in separate interviews with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday in Lagos.

NAN recalls that the Federal Government suspended the registration of new SIM in December 2020 and lifted the ban with effect from April 19.

A visit by a NAN correspondent to some of the network providers’ customer service outlets, observed that no SIM registration was done, as most subscribers who requested for new SIM were turned down.

Some officials of the different network stores in some parts of Surulere and Lagos Island who pleaded anonymity, said they were yet to get approval from the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) to roll out sales of new SIM cards.

“We are aware of the lift in ban of new SIM cards but we have not been given the official ‘green light to go ahead.

“We still await instructions from the authorities on that issue and that is what we tell our subscribers when they request for it.

“We want to follow due process that we are not held responsible for any SIM card sales ,hence we only retrieve old SIMs that were lost with proof of ownership and of course the NIN identification”.

Some of the subscribers, who spoke with NAN at the various locations, said that they needed new SIMs for their wards, businesses and other needs.

Mr Isaac Benson, a trader, said that it was a welcome development when it was announced that SIM registration was restored, adding that he needed the new SIM for his new business centre outlet.

“I still don’t understand why we are yet to register for new SIM card. I just floated a new business centre here in Surulere and I needed to get lines to attach to the centre, only to be informed that it was yet to start registration.

“I hope the government will quickly give the network providers the permission to start the reissuing of new SIM to avoid delay in our various businesses.

Ronke Thompson, 18, was also turned down for requesting for a new SIM card for her new phone.

“I just turned 18 years and I was given a new phone by my brother, I need a new SIM card for myself but my preferred network said no SIM card sales yet.

“I just want to have my own line to reach out to my friends and for my privacy,” Thompson said.

Temitope Yusuf, a food vendor also lamented that her business needed new lines to aid her business for customers to make orders and booking.

“Right now, I need about two more lines for my staff members to receive orders and bookings for food from customers, we have one line which is really making business slow.

“I sincerely beg that new SIMs should be rolled out to help us,” Yusuf said.

NAN reports that NCC on Thursday arrested no fewer than five suspected individuals for allegedly engaging in fraudulent registering and sale of SIM cards.

The arrest was made during the commission’s routine enforcement operations in Abuja.

The Head of the NCC enforcement operations, Salish Abdu said that the exercise was part of the routine activities embarked upon by the commission to rid the industry of criminal elements engaging in fraudulent registration of SIM cards.

Abdu warned that those engaged in the unlawful registration of SIMs to desist from the illegal act, noting that the commission would continue to deal with perpetrators.

He said that the enforced activities would continue in other states of the country.

Music/Radio / Meet Nigerian Musicians Who Are Talented But Not Popular by MrTAnonymous(m): 11:28am On Apr 21, 2021
If anything can be agreed on, it' s the fact that Nigeria is blessed with an overflowing amount of talented musical artists. However, despite their gift, not many were able to make it to the top and a few who did were unable to stay consistent.

Due to the overwhelming number of artists, the competition became too high and some were unable to go further. These musicians still make entertaining music which their loyal fans love, but in the mainstream music industry, they' re still not as popular as they are supposed to be.

Erigga

Erigga is an amazing rapper from Delta state, he has been in the music industry for over a decade and has produced several hits along the way. He' s not as famous as some of the heavyweights in the music industry but Erigga is one of the best rappers from the South.

CKay

CKay is a natural vocalist, he has several hit songs but somehow he' s not as popular as he' s supposed to be. CKay made his way into the music industry back in 2019, his songs include; Love Nwantiti and Felony.

Chike

Chike is a wonderful singer, he hails from the South East and his instrument are his vocals. His songs are heartwarming and his 2020 album ' Boo of the Booless' was simply astonishing. He has received praise several times but still, he' s not as popular compared to other prominent artist because he' s relatively new.

Ladipoe

Ladipoe is an eccentric rapper, his rap game is on point. He' s signed under Mavin records, his 2020 song with Simi titled ' Know You' was a smash hit. After his big break with the aforementioned song, not much has been heard from Ladipoe.

Victor AD

Victor AD is a special singer, his songs are very insightful and sends a strong message to his listeners, one which anybody can relate to. His big break was with a song with Erigga titled ' Motivation' in 2018, later that year Victor shocked the nation with his hit single ' Wetin You Gain' , a song which became popular even in Ghana. Since then he has several songs with popular artists like Davido and Patoranking, but currently, he' s still not as famous as he was predicted to be.

Crime / OAU Student Commits Suicide Over Failed Business Transactions by MrTAnonymous(m): 11:17am On Apr 21, 2021
The Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State has lost a student to depression.
It was reported that one Emmanuel Adedeji, a two hundred level student of the varsity, consumed a poisonous substance to end his own life after he failed to thrive in a business he invested in.
Naija News understands that Adedeji who is studying Management and Accounting at the Ile-Ife Varsity, left a suicide note to confirm why he took the drastic decision.
Speaking on the demise of the student, one of his classmates who pleaded to remain anonymous, said Emmanuel suffered depression after a failed business deal. However, another source who commented on the matter said the deceased did not look like he was depressed when he was seen near the Conference Centre of the university on Monday.

Confirming the incident when contacted by newsmen, the Public Relations Officer of the University, Abiodun Olanrewaju , said"The name of the student is Adedeji Emmanuel, a part two student of the Department of Management and Accounting.
"We appeal to parent and guidance to please let our children know that failure or depression occasioned by whatever, suicide should not be an option.

"We sympathise with the parent and friends of the deceased. He was at his formative stage.

"We heard that he left a suicide note. It pains us that the boy is no more. His action was because of one challenge or the other."

In another news earlier, Naija News reported that Bayelsa State Police Command has arrested a woman identified as Arugu Chidinma Benedicta for allegedly stabbing a young boy to death in Okaka over a lingering dispute with his grandmother.
The chaos reportedly broke out in the Yenagoa suburb on Tuesday (today) after the cruel woman attacked the deceased's house to challenge his grandmother over an undisclosed issue between them.

Politics / Breaking: Gunmen Attack Private University In Kaduna, Kidnap Students by MrTAnonymous(m): 11:10am On Apr 21, 2021
Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted some students during an attack on a private university in Kaduna state on Tuesday night.
The academic institution, Green Field University, is located along the Kaduna–Abuka Highway in Chikun Local Government Area, and also the first private university in the state established three years ago.

The latest incident is the first major attack that bandits will launch on communities around the Kaduna-Abuja Highway since 300 female soldiers were deployed to the general area in January this year.

The Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, confirmed the incident to Channels Television.

However, eyewitnesses, said the gunmen stormed the university last night and started shooting sporadically, before taking some of the students away.

The locals said that the university with about forty students population does not have enough security on the ground, despite being located in one of the epicentres of kidnapping, a situation which they believe made it easier for the bandits to gain easy access into the institution.

In recent time, Kaduna has been facing series of attacks by bandits including assaults on schools.

On March 11th, they attacked the Federal College of Forestry Mechanization Afaka in the Igabi Local Government Area of the state and kidnapped 39 students.

While ten out of the number have been released, the fate of the remaining ones still hangs in the balance.

1.Smile

Smiling has a positive effect no matter what. If you see somebody smile at you every once in a while, you will feel that everything is fine. Sometimes we fall for a person’s smile more than their personality or their looks and if such a case happens to you then know that person is perfect for you. Because if they are smiling while talking to you then it means they like your presence too.

2. They make an effort to look good

This point shouldn’t be mixed up with people putting most of their time to look good. In fact, this kind of people will make the slightest of effort to look their best for you. And this is quite irresistible because it shows that they care about you. It implies that they care enough about you to look presentable and good to you. Besides, a well-dressed person is always more attractive than somebody in dirty clothes.

3. They are real

In modern times, it can be very hard to see who is real and who isn’t. But most irresistible people are an authentic version of themselves. They don’t go around making stories up, nor will they brag about something that did not happen. In fact, they are the most real people you can find and they are very upfront about anything and everything. This honesty will make you feel more attracted towards them and make them more trustworthy. And the last time we checked, a trustworthy person is quite irresistible.

4. Focus On People

One of the biggest secrets of irresistible people is that they focus on the people. They follow the “make them feel special” rule thoroughly. They won’t be talking about themselves of try to steer the conversation towards them but rather make you talk, open up and will listen attentively. This kind of attention makes others feel wanted and makes them feel special. Thereby people will be drawn to them automatically. And the best part is they will actually remember everything you tell them. They might even act or do things based on what you said later on in life.

5. No Small Talks

Whenever you meet up with somebody new, you are always likely to engage in small talk. And while it is common courtesy to do so, it does not really create a good impression. People who have that irresistible charm are always going to ditch the small talk. They don’t have time for that, they will go to something deeper and more personal. They will ask about your life, get you talking about something you are interested in and will be equally involved in that conversation. As a result, you will feel more connected with that person despite knowing them for only a short duration of time.

6. Respect

You will always be drawn towards somebody who treats everyone with equal respect. You can be the nicest person to your friends and family but if you treat your employees or the bus driver or even the waiters with disrespect then you will automatically lose the respect your loved ones had for you. When you treat everyone equally and show them the same courtesy you show to others, you will automatically become irresistible.

I have been reading some psychopathic 'Yoruba' comments regarding this incident and I just laugh... I have also noticed how they label every dissenter 'a Fulani' or 'Hausa slave' - I was also called 'Fulani' and then 'Hausa slave' by same persons for daring to share my own opinion...

I laugh at the hypocritical Yorubas cos when the kasala wey them dey run cast, e go do them like film... Once the war starts, my brother, na only una go fight because me and my people go mind our business.. Even if we go side any party at all, it would be Nigeria cos it's obvious the Yorubas expelling and persecuting Northerners(not only Fulanis) are the same people calling for Oduduwa Republic, which makes it obvious they're intentionally causing crisis to further their own selfish interests.. They sponsored the EndSars protests... It failed woefully. They attempted a second one which was resisted by well-meaning Nigerians. Now they are going about extrajudicially evicting people from their home in gross violation of the constitution.. Maiming, looting and dismembering hapless civilians...

But we are watching.. If they think we will side them, then they've got another think coming...

Cos Nigeria is my country; my allegiance is to Nigeria and I am ready to die for Nigeria.

God bless Nigeria.
Long live Nigeria!

Please be reasonable for once. I have seen your comments and that guy, you guys talk out of point most times.

Politics / Sunday Igboho: Fulani Man Shot At Me, Another Brought Out An Axe by MrTAnonymous(m): 10:09pm On Jan 22, 2021
How Fulani Man Shot At Me, Another Brought Out An Axe At Their Leader’s House – Sunday Igboho

An agitator for Oodua Republic, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has said he is not vying for any political position but trying to protect his fatherland from invaders.

Igboho had earlier given an ultimatum to herders to vacate Ibarapa area in Oyo State within seven days and also called on President Muhammadu Buhari to take Fulani herders out of Yorubaland.

The Oyo State Government has, however, commenced an investigation into Igboho’s threat.

Replying to critics, Igboho said, "They said I’m not in government and that I’m interfering in what does not concern me but I have intervened in what concerns me because I am a Yoruba son."

Igboho alleged that since the government has refused to protect its people, it is the duty of citizens to rise up to it.

He said the killing of the Yoruba people on their soil was what made him take up the challenge, in a video interview with BBC Yoruba.

"It’s not like I commanded the Fulani to leave our land or that I suddenly said something arbitrarily. For like two weeks now, these Fulani people in Ibarapa have been killing our people. Look at this Doctor Fatai, who went abroad for many years to work; he made his money, came back to his father’s village in Igangan, built farms and employed people to work with him. Fulani people ruined the farm for him, he approached the Seriki of the Fulani that this ought not to be, and they tied him and butchered him.

"There are many others like that; the Fulani people killed and kidnapped some. The least they accept as ransom is N7 million, N10 million, N11 million on our soil. This really hurts me and I said if I should keep quiet because it has not got to me or because I have those who are guarding me, how about people who do not have any form of protection?

"That was why I went there to ask the Seriki if this thing his men are doing is good. They have been living with us on our soil for years and we accommodate them. I was talking to the Seriki and one of his men pointed a gun at me. I collected the gun. Another one brought out an axe, we collected it. Another one brought out another gun and shot at me. I told them I was not there to fight but to tell them that if they would not find a lasting solution to the problem of kidnapping and killing, they should leave our land."

Igboho said he is not fighting a war but only asking the Fulani to leave.

"This is not a religious war, what’s my business with Islam or Christianity, I am after the peace of Yoruba people," he said.

Igboho said he was being threatened but was confident that if he should die, it would be for a just cause as he was fighting for his rights on his fatherland.

He also stated that the monarchs in Yorubaland were solidly behind him.

"For days now, they have said they want to arrest me, they are sending messages that they will come for me but I am not scared because all the kings are happy with the move. They called me that they want the Fulani to go, they are only scared to talk so they don't get dethroned.

"When people were being kidnapped in Igangan, the king refused to talk. The herdsmen kidnapped the king’s child and demanded a ransom of N4 million. A time will come when these Fulani people will kidnap the king himself and ask all the villagers to pay a ransom."
