The job of a minister is administration that's the norm worldwide.

The only ministry that requires a member of same vocation is ministry of juctice because the minister doubles as attorney general. A doctor cannot argue government's case in court or give legal interpretation of a judgement as an attorney general would do.

A Minister of Health is never required to examine a patient or carry out medical examination, perform a surgery or dispense drugs.

A Minister of Works is never required to design engineering plans or structures or tools. Neither is he/she required to operate equipment.

A minister is a political administrator for the ministry. Any governor who has managed a state where such ministries exist and were functional during his tenure, is more than qualified to handle such ministry as the direct administrator.

Do you understand how parliament works. The Senate President cannot make any decision without the consent of the majority of the Senators.

The impeachment of Senate president takes just a normal vote within just the Senate it can be done in under an hour.

The Senate alone cannot remove the President and the Vice President. The Senate and House of Reps can't even remove the President and Vice President without the support of the Chief Justice. Both Senate and House of Reps can only impeach President and Vice president only if the committee set up by the Chief Justice finds them guilty. If the Chief Justice is loyal to the Presidency and the Vice there is nothing the National Assembly can do

You got it wrong. The Senate President is just first among equals and he answers to the other 108 senators. And they can remove him in the blink of an eye if he fumbles. Senators can decide to remove their SP in just 1hour if they don't like him anymore

But the VP answers to the President and the President cannot remove him from office. It's hard to remove the Vp. It takes many steps and can only be done by 2/3 of both the Senate and House of Reps. And that's only if the committee created by the Chief Justice of the Federation finds him guilty of the offense raised against him. If not chikena 4yrs go complete

Bro think twice. Even State governors that are God father's to House of Assembly speakers are fighting for the seat of Vice president. The likes of Atiku, Jonathan and Sambo left their governorship to jump at the seat of VP. So can you see how important the Vp seat is if incumbent Governors can forfeit it to become VP.

Oh you think the Vp seat isn't powerful. Ask Atiku Abubakar, Goodluck Jonathan and Namadi Sambo.

Atiku left his election as Governor of Adamawa in 1999 to become a Vice President.

Goodluck Jonathan left his seat as a Governor to become Vice President.

Namadi Sambo left his seat as Governor of to become Vice President.

The 3 of them never completed their terms as Governor before jumping at the seat of VP. They know how important and relevant it is.

The VP wields power it's just that most times they act behind the scene.

It's so sad some Nairalanders are ill informed. Using the case of VP Osinbajo and SP Saraki as an example. Sen Saraki will give everything in life to surge to the seat of Vice President. Prof Osinbajo might not be a career politician but I can beat my chest that most Christians in Nigeria voted for the Buhari/ Osinbajo ticket because Prof Osinbajo was a pastor and that garnered more vote for the ticket. To a degree that could be political influence in a country wide election.

The Vp has more powers being just 1 step away in line of succession to the presidency.

1. He's the chairman of the National Economic Council. Ask the Governors in Nigeria who they'll rather offend btw the VP and the SP. Most governors will choose to surge to be in the post of VP than SP.

2. The VP enjoys immunity, the SP doesn't. You can gain more influence politically with your immunity as you can do many things and get away without being hurt.

3. The VP is very hard to impeach just as the President which may take months and enjoys stability but the SP can be impeached under 1hour just within the Senate and becomes a floor member like others becoming less relevant.

4. The VP has more influence in ECOWAS and Africa as a whole and most times nobody knows the SP outside the country.

I served in Cross River and it was a great experience. Just pray you're posted to either Calabar South LG, Calabar Municipal LG, Akpabuyo LG, Odukpani LG or Akampa LG. You'll have easy access to Calabar if you're in those LG's. I enjoyed learning Efik and Ejhagam language, I explored lots of their soup and meals, touring close to the border with Cameroun and lastly I made good use of my Badoo App in Calabar. There are lots of things to learn and explore in CR.

They don't require Professional certificates for all courses. BSc Psychology, Criminology, Sociology and some other disciplines don't need Professional certificates to apply sir.
