Politics / Petiton For Members Of Nigerian Government To Make Salary & Expenditures Public by mruknaijaboy(m): 10:15am On Sep 12, 2013
I decided to make a thread because I am sick and tired of Nairalanders who keep talking about how corrupt our leaders are but are not willing to make any contribution other than badmouthing them which doesnt change one thing

In the UK the government revenue and expenditure is made public, and also the salaries of members of government etc

We need this in Nigeria so we Nigerian citizens can really see what these people are actually doing and where all the money is going to

President Johnathan and the rest of them are all civil servants which means they work for the citizens of Nigeria, It is our right to know this and in a country as corrupt as ours I think this would be a major step in curbing corruption

We can not wait for out government to curb corruption as they are all corrupt baastards and it may not ever happen if we leave it to them, we the citizens must take action ourselves

Lets get the ball rolling and get a petition started

Whos with me on this?
Politics / Re: Farida Waziri Threatens To Expose Obasanjo. by mruknaijaboy(m): 4:37am On Sep 12, 2013
authorid k=Aigbofa]She should just go ahead and expose him jare! If you shield Obasanjo's crimes how are we sure you didn't do the same for Ibori and other powerful thieves? Otherwise STFU.

GBAM! What your saying is very correct

The next major step which needs to be made in naija to curb corruption is that all members of government salaries and expenses should be made public like here in the UK so we can see which governors are f*cking up

We should create a petition for this and im sure there is no Nigerian citizen who will not co-sign unless they are a corrupt thief themself

governors, senators, vice president and the president himself are civil servants to the citizens of Nigeria so it is our right to know this information

I just created a thread for nigerian government to declare revenue and expenditure public plus members of nigerian government to declare salaries, funds and expenditures public also

Lets take action

Agbgift: Her head now looks bigger than her body. It jst doesnt match.

You are right, not in this thread though, she looks sexy as hell facially in these pics because their close up pics and you cant see her body proportiom

Look at her in this thread though https://www.nairaland.com/1406501/ngozi-ezeonu-talks-weight-loss

Her head looks big as hell, some people have a natural big bone/head structure so they cant ever really be that slim and if they do become slim there heads look big, like sherri shepard or Mo'nique

But back to my point, her head is big but in my opinion she still looks nice, and I think she looks better than when she was chubby

A-town:

If you grew up watching MTV, B.E.T, lived in Lagos, Abuja, PH or the more modern naija cities, you probably already adopted a little bit without knowing it.

kids in london grew up watching MTV, BET and other popular american channels and shows but they dont adopt any american accent, its inferiority complex which makes nigerians to talk in a american/english accent when they were not raised in america/britain, nigerian accent is beautiful and nigerians need to be more proud and embrace it especially nigerian celebrities as they are rolemodels and people tend to aslow what they do, all these fake nigerian celebrities like Freeze, Lynxxx, Iyanya, Wizkid, Ice Prince, Tonto Dike, Toke Makinwa and others need to stop with the fake accents, its phony and also downgrades the value of the nigeriam accent

Travel / Re: Nigerians And Fake Accent by mruknaijaboy(m): 9:10pm On Jun 29, 2013
I dont think nigerians talk in a foreign accent to sound more clear,i think they try and speak in other accents to think theyre cool and they think they will get more respect

look how many nigerian rappers who rap in a american accent and have only studied or been on holiday to america, theres Vector, Ice Prince, M.I, Lynxxx,Skales, Yung6ix, these are all people who havent spent more than 6months abroad except for M.I who studied at university in america but thats only 3 years and thats not enough to justify rapping in a american accent when your born and bred in Nigeria.

only rappers who dont rap in american accent at all are Olamide & Erigga, respect to those two for embracing Nigerian accent and culture, Phyno does american accent abit but there are alot of songs where he mixes it up with alot of igbo & pigin so respect to him too,

And there are quite a few artist/celebrities who have fake accents when they speak, Toke Makinwe,Iyanya, Ice Prince, Lynxxx,Wizkid, Dr Sid and i cant think of others right now but i always wonder why do they speak like that, do they think they will get more respect with a foreign accent?

theyre are only a few celebrities with authentic foreign accents in Nigeria, people like Seyi Shay,Emma Nyra,Toolz and others and probably a few more because they were raised in another country for the majority of their life

In the UK and USA people laugh when they hear nigerian artist rapping in a foreign accent & trying to talk in foreign accent

I think its a inferiority complexx, Nigerian musicians/celebrities should be more proud of Nigerian accent,culture and everything else that comes with it

Its true about burna boy being deported, check out his song 'freedom' which was on one of his old mixtapes, that song was based on his deportation from the uk so its not like he was trying to hide it but its not like he has to tell the whole world his business

Politics / Re: South Africa Vs Nigeria: Which Is More Influential In Africa? by mruknaijaboy(m): 12:50pm On Apr 04, 2013
I would say in the film and music industry nigeria is more influencial and also nigeria has a more influencial military due to having the most soldiers

But in terms of better living, democracy, security, infastructure, education, opportunity, south africa is the USA of Africa

Film and music industry does nothing for the masses of nigeria and having a military with more manpower to send to other countries but not being able to improve the security in your own country and make sure your own country is secure shows that something is wrong, so therefore I would say SA wins in terms of being more influencial
Culture / Re: Urhobo Waado. by mruknaijaboy(m): 5:19pm On Apr 03, 2013
Hi people I am an urhobo but i can speak the language as I grew up in the UK , need somebody to be able to break down the basic sentence structure,All i know in urhobo is:

Mavo = how is it?/how are things?

Oyoyovi= im fine

Oghene = God

die=what

Uma we gare = are you well?

Biko = Please

Oyoma = Its nice

Ejo = No

Digwe = greet me/ you havent greeted me (you can only say it to somebody younger than you)

Migwo = (when you greet your elders)

Vrendo = Reponse from a elder when greeted by migwo

Shuoo!!! = it is said when you are suprised or amazed at something

Die wo ru rue = what are you doing?

Thats the extent of my urhobo, i may not even be 100% right on what i just said above,

i dont really know how to put a basic sentence together in urhobo or have general conversation and being able.to respond in urhobo

It would be nice to know how to speak my language so you urhobo experts on this thread please teach me abeg

My mum told me there are three dialects of urhobo which are Agbo, Isoko And Ovie, She said all are very similar and they can understand each other,

Greeting to elders in urhobo dialects

Agbo =Migwo

Isoko = Agwo

Ovie = Degwo

I may have confused it or got it wrong because this was a long time ago she told me this

i would preferably like to learn Agbo-Urhobo dialect which is the one my mum family speak,

I may be wrong about the different dialects aswell, Anyone who believes the information i stated above was wrong please correct me as I am a learner

dahdah: and u think Timaya and MI would make it to d biggest or d best 3 in 9ja. Wake up Dbanj,p2 nd 2baba Are d biggest 3

2baba is not in the top 3 biggest artist, 2face is not that popular internationally right now and his songs dont get played in the clubs

D'banj is only on the list because of oliver twist that tune is still making him money until now,

But the top 3 in terms of popularity are:

1.D-Banj(oliver twist international status)
2.P-Square
3.Wizkid

Wizkid is extremely popular here in uk and all hes tunes get constant play in clubs and african radio stations in uk and everybody loves his music here, wizkid is definitely the next to get full international status but i think him not having banky w in his corner may affect how successfull he will become because wizkid doesnt have that knowledge and experience, IMO i think he should stay with EME
