I sincerely think that social media has made a huge impact on this generation. When Macron won the election with a newly formed party he sent a strong message.
This is Africa not just any Africa but Nigeria where we not only copy but advance. I won't be surprised if neither APC OR PDP PRODUCE A PRESIDENT

Literature / Re: The New Reality After Nysc by MrUtech: 9:52am On Jan 12, 2018
The truth is that most people will fall victims of this. I will add as part of the remedy that you do the following
1. Take a walk before service around your locality, identify a problem(s) and develop a model that will assist you solve them upon your return. By this you have a dream, a drive and a goal.
2. The allowee is very little just like every seed is little compared to the resultant forest inside it. Remember in every packet of peanut you buy, there are peanuts inside. Save the little and use it as an arsenal to obtain the bigger.
3. I know of a corper who was given a blank cheque upon his passing out as a result of a good moral life during his service. Even if she's hot, sexy, juicy , note that the decisions you make will reflect in your future. The corper as earlier stated enjoyed numerous benefit that every other corper in ikwuano l.g.a of umuahia envied him.
4. Finally know there is someone greater than all human, always do whatever thing necessary to obtain his favor.
This can assist you a little

Politics / Re: Buhari Expresses Regret Over Fuel Crisis As Subsidy Hits N40.70 Per Litre by MrUtech: 10:52am On Dec 26, 2017
Why can't things be done in the right way. What is really in rebuilding our refineries ?.
We are already paying severely yet the pain is still strong like it's now synonymous with us.
Why must everything be all about politics and party ? Why can't these people just be humans. Is it much to ask each government to increase the standard of living of it's citizens who pays her tax to do so. We really need to change things in this nation else, time will come when we will have nothing on our table. What is the cost of importing fuel for 4 years compared to building refineries, what is the cost of equipping our institution for 4years compared to hiring expatriates for 4years.
We have never asked much from our government but each month we are plagued. Only God can give us the right person for this job

Am a graduate of mechanical engineering and am among the just graduated set.
I really want to practice engineering before moving on with my life but here's the big deal.
I love simple necessary machines and have little or no interest in automobile. I have been thinking of what to do, either going to learn how to repair the generator because a huge percentage of the machines around us use the same principle to generate energy or to learn AC repair and installation due to the fact that our climate is changing drastically. I have tried to imagine myself in office work but I don't just fit in. I want to learn the skill before my service so as to have something to build on . Am flexible to changes based on what you think is right cos I must admit I need your help

If you have a little space, poultry farming will do just fine. secondly vegetable farming is also crucial although I agree with the viewing Centre knowing that most leagues varies. Also with the passion for soccer on the rise, betting Centre is also on the list. Next is repairs as mentioned before now, it has two sides, first is income next is experience

1. Point of lay means birds that are ready to start laying.
2. If you buy DO chicks, mareks vaccine will be given at the hatchery but please confirm from your supplier. You then have to administer each vaccine at the appropriate time (It's not so difficult though). If you want to buy point of lay,the birds would have had at least 2 shots of Gumboro vaccine, 2 shots of NDV Lasota vaccine, 1 shot of NDVK vaccine, coccidiostat, antibiotics and some other medications.
3. I have never taken that risk. Some people are going into organic farming but I don't have that courage yet.

Thanks, about the cassava, what makes TME 419 unique

frisky2good:
100 birds = 100k to point of lay but I don't know how that calculation will work for 20 birds. You can buy well vaccinated point of lay birds at 1300 Naira each if you plan to start with 20 birds. DO chicks are sold in boxes of 50 so you will have to get someone to share with if you insist on starting with DO chicks. Good luck

By point of lay eggs, do you mean matured ones. About the vaccination, will it be done before purchase or after. I don't mind taking the 50 birds cos I still have space just that I will expand my pocket as well. Thirdly, is there any adverse effects of skipping their vaccination if the environment is neat and free from harm. Thank you

I intend starting a poultry farm by August with my main focus being egg production. I have been reading articles about it and have decided to give it a try with 20 birds. I know the feeding aspect is a total money consuming factor. Am a student of Mechanical engineering who wants to own a mechanized farm and at such is looking for a means of obtaining capital. My first question is this, I will use the available space at our house for the housing. Will N50,000 be enough to achieve 70% success since we were taught uncertainty, I know inflation and deflation is a considerable factor in this. Secondly a friend of mine bought a plot land for one year at #3000, which also interests me. I have been hearing about cassava SME 419, please can someone lecture me on it. I'm residing in ABA.

After more than three months of waiting, I received a notification from nipost that my package just arrived. I can't wait to start planting because here in Aba, Abia state, if the tomato do well I can monopolize the market at a subsidized price since there won't be need for transportation. All thanks to this thread and Kizito. Am on the path to the life I once thought of, making life easy for humanity

Oh... Sorry, I thought I made it clear. The part of my wall where plantains were growing fell after too much weight from the plantains both the roots and the body of the plantain tree over an extended period. It was a ripple effect, and quite a distance of the fence was damaged because of that.

Also, whirlwinds can push down your plantains which would in turn knock down your wall.

You are correct. I have been opportune to work in a plantain plantation and the worst case scenario is when the plantain is near a fence, it can damage the fence, it can be easy for anyone to make away with, cause rift if it's leaves enters a neighboring compound
