What's the meaning of the name 'Asogwa' and Ossai. These names are found in Nsukka.
I sincerely don't know what they mean, I'm not very fluent.

Dude, Nsukka town has never been Igala. It is an indigenous Igbo town that fell under the leadership influence of Igalas during the rise of the Igala kingdom. Many Igbo towns around the border did incorporate certain Igala leadership features but that does not make them ancestrally Igala in anyway. Except the Ibajis who do share some Igbo ancestry, core Igalas and Igbos look physically different. Some Igalas did settle down in Nsukka town and by their next generation became Nsukka-Igbo speaking, but there is no shared blood ancestry between both groups greater than 10 to 20%.

ABS Anambra state broadcasts news in Igala to recognize the bi-lingual Igala natives of Olumbanasaa living around the state's border with Kogi, nothing extra special here about this.
You're 100% correct. I'm from Nsukka and my late grandfather told me stories of how the Attah of Igala ruled them all the way from Igala kingdom.

Note that these are things he experienced and the ones his father and grandfather told him. None of them ever made mention of being descendants of the Igala kingdom, in fact a form of resentment existed towards the Igala people up till my dad's generation due to the exploitative and manipulative (hard jazz) nature of the Attah.

Since I'm not well versed in history and have never commented on a history thread here, I don't want to be seen as an expert whatsoever. I only happen to have real life stories passed down to me. Also, , this account could be peculiar to Nsukka LGA where I come from. I don't know if it's exactly the same for other parts of Nsukka as some parts share bothers with the Igalas and Idomas and people who live there speak both Igbo and any of those languages((Igala or Idoma) fluently but that's just about that I suppose.

When next you go to buy a charger, take the phone along to test others until you find what works.

What do you mean by 'flash'? Did you just reset the phone or flashed a new ROM to the phone?

If it's just factory reset, then it shouldn't be an issue, try different SIM cards and make sure the APN setting for the network is correct.

However, if you flashed a new ROM to the device, then you have to try another version of the ROM but that's after trying the first solution.

He was just being sarcastic. Look at his Username to know who you are up against.
I know him, he's quite famous here. However, we need to understand that this forum is very popular, more popular than we think. We have lots of non Nigerians who visit this forum on a daily basis (I know this from my personal experience)

It might also interest you to know that data is collated from this forum for different analysis.

We need to counter some of these negative comments on important topics like this one. Everything no suppose be joke for this country. When data is pulled from this topic, it's either positive, negative or neutral (nothing like sarcastic) and you already know where his comment belongs. Plus, you know there'll be a high number of likes on his comment... It goes a long way to present our collective opinion on any given topic.

This is my opinion anyway. What do I even know.

Phones / Re: Can Powerbanks Be Repaired? by Mrval20(m): 7:33am On Jun 04, 2018
Yes, it can be repaired.

But as you may have noticed, most of them do not have screws anywhere on their casings while some of them are even made of entirely enclosed plastic casings.

For this reason, you'd need to crack the case to have access to the components and find a way to put it back together after repair.

Therefore, you must be ready to use it with tapes, rubber bands or very ugly glues around it afterwards; depending on the design of course.

For me, working on power banks and bluetooth speakers is a no no... They always look ugly afterwards; depending on the model of course.

I advise you to go for the Leagoo S8 or at least M9; they've got good specs at a relatively cheap price.

You know next to nothing about what you are talking.

Outstanding Anambrarians, from all works of life, put Ndigbo in general on the global map. Speak of globally acclaimed intellectuals like Chinua Achebe, Alex Ekwueme, Nnamdi Azikiwe, Chimamanda Adichie, Emeka Anyaoku, Dora Akunyili, Innocent Chukwuma, Philip Emeagwali, Paul & Paul Okoye, John Mikel Obi etc.

Since when has been rash or aggressive been associated with nativity? Though you may want to argue further, but I make bold to say that no state in the entire SE has contributed more outstandingly to giving Ndigbo her pride of place in Nigeria than Anambra state, no one.

Name your so-called 'diplomatic' Enugu people and let's put them side by side with the few names I have reeled out here.

Too bad you fell for this. SMH

Nice design.

Except that it'd be so easy to damage the display. Looks like it has a fused LCD/Digitizer as well, which equals expensive screen replacement.

Those who've had to replace their Air 2 or Pro screen in the past can relate. shocked

Credible advices already offered here.

However, if you're the type that drops devices or handles phones roughly, do stay away from HTC and stick with Samsung.

I'm speaking from the following points of view: repairability, availability of replacement parts and post-repair condition.

just cracked my air 2 screen.. want to know where i can get a screen replacement and how much it costs... heard its joint with the sensor or something like that.

Yeah, the LCD (inner screen) and digitiser(outer glass or commonly called touchpad) are fused, unlike iPad Air.
You'd have to replace both unless you find someone who can do the separation.
This will cost you between 40-60k depending on the quality of screen.

Phones / Re: Should Changing A Phone Screen Involve Wiping Off Its Data? by Mrval20(m): 10:07pm On Nov 22, 2017
dominique:
So my phone screen smashed last week and I hurriedly took it to gionee service centre in Ikeja to fix it. They told me it would take 24-48 hours before I can collect it and I said ok. Only for them to message me this evening that they have to wipe the entire phone data before they can change the screen. I've replied them that they should please find a way to replace the screen without formatting to factory settings but I'm yet to get a response. Still I'm confused, what has changing of smashed phone screen got to do with phone data? Has anybody encountered something similar? This is not my first screen replacement on that particular phone, so I'm still wondering what is so different about this is one. I hope I didn't make a big mistake by taking my phone to that center.
Hi, call them and make sure they don't proceed with the repair. I sense foul play. I hope the old screen still works so you can confirm that your data is still intact.

Just so you know, there's really no need to wipe your data during or after a screen replacement service (assuming the repair was done perfectly), except for few models of the Nokia Lumia; based on my experience.

I know of a trusted place you can get it fixed without any issues at Ikeja City Mall
