Thanks! I guess I’ll just get a tested and trusted engineer to help me with that as the YouTube videos I saw on how to open the screen is something I can’t risk doing myself
Okay, you're welcome.

Dhavido:
Good day guys. I’ve been using an iPhone 5s for about 5 months and it has fallen once in the 5 five months, I have a tampered glass protector so nothing happened to the screen. The tampered glass only had a little crack at the top and that was about 3 months ago and last month the screen of the device starts to flicker, it sometimes will show vertical lines that will disappear after using it for some minutes but will come back if the backlight goes off and you just on it again.

I updated to IOS 11 some days before the issue started so I’m wondering if it’s a hardware or software issue.

Please tell me how to solve if it’s a software issue and also tell me the component(s) that’s faulty and the expected cost of fixing it if it’s hardware problem.

Thanks

Pretty much likely to be a hardware problem.

Do this by yourself: Unclip and clip back your screen connector to see what happens. It could be that it isn't properly connected, due to impact. Please endeavour to disconnect your battery connector too before doing anything.

If the problem persists, then you need to replace your screen. Screen replacement cost will depend on your location but an authentic screen should be around N15k max.

OK what's the formular
Serve in Ogun state, try your best to get posted to a LGA close to Lagos (Sango, Ota, Mowe, Ibafo etc etc), then start applying to jobs and attending interviews in Lagos immediately you resume at your PPA.

If you're lucky, you'd get something before you conclude your service year.

I'm assuming you want to enjoy the benefits of Lagos state without actually serving in Lagos.

First of all, can you influence your posting?

If yes, I'll give you a formula that worked for me.

Someone here on Nairaland advised me when I was seeking just like yourself and it worked by God's grace.

thanks a lot . You mean like acquiring an IT skills abroad or Nigeria? I know little about this , how does it work?
Here in Nigeria first, that's more like a career shift. If you eventually become good at it, no one will care about your CGPA.

PS: Requires lots of hardwork and doesn't happen overnight.
Travel / Re: Need A Little Help / Guide Guys by Mrval20(m): 10:02pm On Oct 15, 2017
Neither masters nor undergraduate studies abroad will be easy based on your CGPA and age respectively.

Why not consider acquiring skills? IT skills preferably.
Being an IT professional will help your cause.
NYSC / Re: Serving In Oyo Or Lagos Help by Mrval20(m): 9:48pm On Oct 15, 2017
If you've got a relative or friend in Lagos, then go for Lagos.
Surviving in Lag on alawee alone won't be very easy but it's a nice place to serve due to availability of opportunities.

That's if you'd like to stay back and work in Lag after service though.

Probably a fall-out as a result of poor business modeling undecided I've always wondered aloud how they intend to make money out of it all.

Quite unfortunate. Guess the transition from a free to paid service didn't go as planned.
Business / Sad News From Gomyway by Mrval20(m): 9:45am On Sep 27, 2017
Just got this mail from GoMyWay. These guys were doing a great job.

Very sad cry

I wish the government or any NGO would intervene if it's no late already.

Hi,

I hope you are doing well. It is with deep regret that I write this email to let you know that GoMyWay will be closing down. In this email, I'll let you know why we are closing as well as offer an alternative service. I hope you take a few minutes to read.

In 2015, I was hired as the CEO, via recommendation by my previous employers, to run GoMyWay. The plan by its Shareholders/Investors was to run a free service for a year or two, and focus on growing the user-base.

Over the last 2 years, the team put in time and effort to growing the business and building a trusted ridesharing community. We went from less than 1000 members in the first few months to 12,000+ members; 106,630 rides offered and rides shared across 16 states. However, it does take a lot of resources to run this business and the initial plan was no longer sustainable. The Shareholders/Investors came to a conclusion to shut down operations and close the business as there were no funds to invest further.

I want to specially thank you for your support. I believe GoMyWay had the best community and I can write a few pages about it. We had users who spread the word about us even when we had no referral codes to give in return. I remember when Yinka visited a member and he had mentioned how everyone in his office now uses GoMyWay through him. We had users who were always available to share amazing ideas with us. It's no surprise that the second highest acquisition channel was referrals/word of mouth.

It does break our hearts to end this wonderful community and we did try to keep it going, but the team has decided to keep the platform running till the end of October. From today, the signup page will no longer be accessible and customer support would also be winding down.

I'm so proud of everyone that worked on GoMyWay. The business was blessed to have the most dedicated and hardworking staff who put in more than their time into this. Some of our users have come in contact with our staff, so they know I am not exaggerating. Thank you Yinka, Favour, Segun, Ope, Ayo, Busayo, Doyin and all the contract staff and interns that worked with us. God bless you immensely.

Lastly, I felt it would be unfair to leave you and other users hanging with no alternative; so, if you are resident in Lagos and in need of an affordable ride to/from work, please check out the guys at Shuttlers who run an affordable shuttle service for professionals. If interested, fill out their form HERE

Thank you very much; and please feel free to reply this email if you would like to reach me. I will try to reply to as many as possible.

With Love,

Damilola

Which of the beaches exactly? Assuming it's Elegushi beach (it's very popular these days), just board a bus from Alakuko to Oshodi, then board another bus to Lekki and tell the driver to stop you at Ikate roundabout. Once you're at Ikate, you can trek in or take a bike to Elegushi beach.
Education / Re: JAMB 2017: Full Guidelines On How To Check MOCK Examination Details! by Mrval20(m): 11:06pm On Apr 07, 2017
This is how I checked my sister's details:

- I visited this link => http://jamb.org.ng/efacility/checkmockcentre

- Then entered her email address and clicked "Check My Details" .

That's all.

Try this if you're among those who have been waiting for an email from Jamb containing your mock details.

I hope this helps someone.

It might take him some time to settle down and live a comfortable life once again but it's worth the whole stress. He should move for the future of his kids. They'll forever remain grateful.

They're part of the Island but I find it funny when guys living around Epe brags to Mainlanders about being an Island boy... that is, forming the Island class and all. You might not understand anyway cheesy

All I see is another attention seeker.

Each and everyone of us simply needs to pray for Nigeria at home every morning, have a positive mindset about her, then go out and get busy.

No country has ever survived tough times by simply having its citizens sit and pray under a statue.

But ehn that 24 hr traffic from vgc - ajah? Damn! It's unbearable especially in the afternoon
You're right @nice estates. Besides, people also own very nice houses in this area outside the estates. For the traffic, once the reconstruction of those roundabouts are completed and a traffic light introduced (from from what I heard), the problem will be solved to a very large extent. Lekki is over rated.
