I know say I still dey preach, what else can I do? Kwasia (not you though)

The issue of subsidy is eating up amongst Nigerians, it's a problem that know no tribe, religion, ethnicity or what have you. I'm not so familiar with the subsidy thing sef, so I've abstained from arguments arising from it; however, I've being able to do some reading, and though process on this issue. My belief supports my formed opinion about the basic premise of fuel subsidy; I encourage the removal of subsidy ONLY IF terms and conditions are met, in this case, they were not and as such, I have shown displeasure amongst the hierarchy involved in this activity.

Ngozi on the other hand, I have no beef with the woman, but as a human, she will more likely than not make wrong policies, we all do and I'm not obligated to accept her policies because she was once a WBG top employee. As for the budget, if you look on the threads about the budget, I showed no bias and out rightly condemned and rejected the budget because the budget does not accurately reflect the true realities of what facing Nigerians today. From Agriculture, to healthcare and then the Capital Expenditures, for a nation targeting a 2020 vision to be amongst the G-20 was absolutely POOR and AWFUL.

As for President Good luck Jonathan, I strongly believe in him, however, until recently, I'm made to believe though he has good intentions, he's sought of weak and not courageous to face the pitfall that are gradually been dug for him. I also believe he lacks the mannerism to persuasively communicate his thoughts and reasoning. Nigerians need to be persuaded, if as leaders you cannot persuade your followers even at the mouth of death, hmm, there's something wrong.

Brother, I wish I could start a blog, but there isn't time on my schedule, cry cry cry  from time to time I keep a journal on recent events. I will like to start an action, just like I was talking to my mom during New Year, I expressed concern that I really should go home and she expressed reality to me but hey like I said, if there's a STRONG CAUSE, I WILL DEFINITELY COME HOME.
Fair Enough.

People writing foolish stuff and beating the strawman to death. What does being abroad have to with anything?

You are the same ones posting statements by a UN official praising GEJ. And GEJ himself was bragging about praises he received from Obama a couple of months back. Yet, your own countrymen are of no value to you because they live abroad!!!!

For your information, the labor of the disapora Nigerians you disparage contribute $10 billion to the Nigerian economy annually - more than all the subsidy over which GEJ and his goons are willing to shoot at their countrymen, and without which the economy will collapse under their able management.

Lazy thinking people.
Another noise maker always bragging about how much he is got.Come and fight, die for your country like the Americans, French, Russians, North Africans, South Africans and many other revolutionaries did for their country(the so called "comfortable environment" you are enjoying now) and then we will know. Stop quoting fiat money. The Libyans didn't when Medical doctors and big time businessmen and so on came back to liberate their country. Cowardly Boko Haram is trying to cause mayhem. What are you noise makers doing? All you know how to do is rant and ramble and curse your MOTHERLAND.

Do you know that a lot of Americans came back to join the military after 9/11? Man UP and stop giving excuses- we have heard all that before.

Can you think?

It's because you guys back home are too dull, you don't know what to fight for or when to fight. we have no other choice than to keep shouting at you until you get things right. You should also know that many of us are never coming back home, so it your life. But we care nevertheless.
A classic case of a lost sheep and among the very people who make the loudest noise. Go and tell the bolded to African Americans who have never felt at home in Northern Hemisphere despite living there for centuries. Do you know the true meaning of "home" despite it's shortcomings?

Accept the fact that you need to have your head examined.

Hatred speak volume, I need not explain further even the Holy Bible (if you believe in it) said --- Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. So go figure on that one. Hatred or perhaps hate is not until when someone has/get something, people express hate differently, some express hate through their crimes, some express it orally and vocally, while some express it through other means, either way, their actions speaks volume,

Many who came back and took up government post are amongst the corrupt? Ngozi Iweala is now corrupt because she said NO to subsidy? SMH once again, like your types including media sources (Sahara) being the lead, your attempts to detriment her image has proven futile on several occasions, give me crimes she's involved with, and committed, and I will stand against her, till then, she's just an employee of the FG and at certain times, it's OK that I'm not to be pleased with her decision but it WILL NOT change the FACT I will call her corrupt. Oh, don't worry about her cheeks, her cheeks has always been that way, I don't see how relevant her cheeks is huh huh huh

Lest you forget, same Northern Africans you talked about used the same internet media to coordinate their activities, so what's the beef now again with the internet and thousands of miles away? undecided undecided undecided Do you have to be local in Nigeria to express your opinion? Per your logic, those in Nigeria separated by hundreds if not thousands of miles apart, how do you address the grass root thingy?

You have seen many like me? Isn't it rather ironic that if you had indeed seen many like me, you will know there different people with different reasoning. What has Big grammar and baseless political philosophies got to do with this?  huh huh huh I tell you the truth and you call it baseless political philosophies, why am I not surprised?  cry cry cry

Exactly, we're an empty suit but don't forget, STOP pointing accusing fingers at others, because three other fingers are pointing right back at you. Like they always say, DON'T HATE THE PLAYERS, HATE THE GAME. Nigerians regardless of where they are are just the players of the game called Nigeria, hold those (your leaders) who run the game called Nigeria RESPONSIBLE.
Bros, you still dey preach. Kumbayah as they say in America grin. As I said, I am not trying to compare or contrast. I just observe that they make the loudest noice. The problem I have with Okonjo is that she is complicit on many fronts. The removal of subsidy sound good economically and it took great courage to apply it. The problem is: will the projects be accomplished? Subsidy aside, why was 2.4trillion naira earmarked for recurrent expenditure in this year's budget? Who is she trying to protect? Not the president in this case. We need to fish out the so called Cabals.

President Jonathan is a good man with good intentions and great ideas for this country. The problem I have is those that are trying to undermine him including noise makers from and in the diaspora.

manny4life you sound collected and articulate.Start a blog for in depth analysis based on grassroots approach like the North Africans did(many of them who initiated change were blogger's). What I meant by " I have come across likes of you" is that you sound all intellectual like others out there but with no force.  Cmon man, lets start some action cheesy.

Beaf:
@OP

You pointed out a lot of things indeed! If you have followed discussions on NL very closely, you will find that practically all the organisers of the protest ran abroad the week before. Check it anywhere you can, here on NL, facebook, tweeter etc and you will find that they are ALL abroad.
That fact begins to draw questions of why they all ran away. There is genuine pain from the subsidy removal, no doubt, but that couldn't have made them run away and innocent people do not run.

As you pointed out, in Libya, Egypt, Tunisia and the other places these folk love to echo; those in diaspora actually returned to organise the streets, supply services or hit the warfront as in Libya. Its strange indeed that "patriots" should run away to organise a protest.
You understand my point. You wanna see for yourself Mr Beaf? Just go to embassies and see those crying foul on how they are finding way to run out of the country. Nigeria is experience the most interesting time in her history and we have these "internet warriors" all crying foul from Antarctica.

The funny thing is that, they are not the real Nigerians feeling the pain. They sit in their "comfortable" environment and lament.

Do they want to contribute concretely? Let them come back and engage in grassroots work. Bunch of noise makers.

Dude, your post reeks with so much hatred and bitterness, damn sad sad sad sad

I won't speak for others, but in the Norther African Revolution, they came together for "ONE PURPOSE". Fuel subsidy, though I DON'T SUPPORT THE REMOVAL "now" BUT it's not for "one purpose" reason why people should return. Give me a GOOD and STRONG reason (like Nigeria planning to split, protest against Corruption, Boko Haram, Insecurity et al), and you will see people stand for the fight. BTW, how do you know that people haven't returned home to fight for what they believe in?  sad sad sad You use NL as your judgement platform, smh. If I return home tomorrow, will I report to you or you want me to broadcast it I returned home to fight? Anyway, you're entitled to your opinion, be it as it may, it sure don't matter.

While our host treats us as riff raffs? Brother, you gat jokes yo. What has Nigeria offered Nigerians? What has your lovely leaders done to serve and protect you, your family and properties? Rather Nigerians are served with a platter of pains and anguish topped with hot misery, enslaved in their own country, bound by the shackles of modern day slavery and corruption, YET, you look at others and point an accusing finger embarassed embarassed embarassed Talk about kettle calling pot black?  undecided undecided undecided Dude, please STOP the comparison, it's doing you no good. Oh for the record, I still love my country and a firm believer that something positive will yield. I do not make fun of Nigeria and Nigerians because I'm one of them, but people like you are the one who cause division amongst us; just like those who portray Nigeria as "BAD", brother, you're no different.
What hatred?  Why should I feel hatred? Na wetin u get wey I go feel hatred? Abegi, free talk jare. Just stating the obvious here. Many who came back and took up government post are among the most corrupt that is milking this country dry; check their profiles including that "glorified" Okonjo(her cheek would make a good meat for soup) amongst others.

I am not trying to compare or contrast. Just saying that the platitudes from thousand miles ought to seize. We need a grassroots approach to make huge changes and not internet drumming.

Bro, I seen many like you during my visits outside including our so called intellectuals. All they know how to do is speak Big grammar and narrate baseless political philosophies.

Most of our people especially gullible ones in the diaspora ran away because they couldn't stand the heat in the kitchen. Now, they want to tell us how to organize and run our country from a distant land? How sensible is that? At the outset of the North African revolution, many of their comrades outside came back to take active part despite the dangers on the ground. Some even took up arms in the case of Libya to fight. That is real Patriotism and passion to want to see their country change.

In our own case, we have our peeps shouting and cursing from afar.Internet brave men and women. If war broke out in Nigeria, they would be the first to say," Thank God I left that God forsaken country", while their hosts treat them as riff raffs.

Have you got integrity? Stop making the loudest noise.

Somebody explain.
European economies are in deep wahala. Lack of decisive action by their leaders is also causing the euro to depreciate. There are many factors that contributes to the depreciation of a currency like Central banks monetary policies and so on and so forth. You can read more on them and also watch financial news like Bloomberg, CNBC to get more analysis.

As for me, it is in my best interest for the Euro to continue to depreciate cool cool.

My problem with it is this. Govenment is not leading by example they telling Nigerians to sacrfice but they are not sacrficing anything themselves. Not even a 10% pay cut. Thats why Nigerians dont trust them and know the money will more likely be chopped and costs have gone up a lot,  Its not the issue of subsidy removal but No trust n the govt hence people want hands off the funds.
You are perfectly right. That should be the focal point of the protest first and foremost; holding POLITICIANS accountable. They have squandered project upon project without concrete result. Nigerians have a deep distrust for the government. Could you imagine that recurrent expenditure for this budget is 47%. In most countries, government subsidizes most things for them. From education to food. Do you know how much America and Europe spends on farm subsidies a year for its farmers? China artificially devalue their currency and subsidizes imported raw materials to favour their manufacturers. Indian and Egypt subsidizes wheat to the tune of billions. We earned about 60billion dollars last year. Budget was about 20billion dollars or so. Where did the rest go?

I usually don't engage in depth with Nairaland because it lacks the analytic and intellectual vigor. For you to make your point on here, one has to get emotional sometimes which is uncalled for.

Some of you are just making up stories about the strength of Pakistan military, Pakistan military power is far down the line, infact India is ranked higher than Pakistan, Global Firing Power ranked Pakistan 15th in the world,  few of you here seems to let your ant-American agender  cloud your sense of reasoning.

Show me any evidence anywhere that suggest that Pakistan can stand America military wise.

The story about ISI allowing the American special forces to carry out raid that killed Osama is just nonsense, as usual, many of you come up with these conspiracy theories and made you stories just to justify you baseless argument.
It is obvious that you know nothing about warfare nor military intelligence, hence, I am not going to waste my time in engaging logically with you on that. I suppose you haven't heard of the foreign policy doctrine," the enemy of your enemy is my friend. Even Obama won't beat his chest like you are doing here on this issue despite the fact that he has access to the buttons. He knows the effects of carrot and hip-hop diplomacy than your brain can fathom. You don't bully a sovereign nation with NUKES and the warhead capability to deliver it; that could turn your cities into a radioactive wasteland. Of course, the West have the capability to unleash their arsenals on their opponents as well. But when you are dealing with a potential opponent in war with a huge army that manufactures significant portion of its weapons, a populace that believe in Jihad philosophy, only two things are certain: Death and Destruction. The notion of pre-matured victory and to underestimate your opponent because you are classified as the greatest military is downright stupid, naive, short of common sense and a recipe for utter embarrassment. George Bush can tell you more about that when he declared "Mission Accomplished" on the war on Iraq and his neglect of Afghanistan.

For you to dismiss it as "passed glory", shows your dangerous lack of understanding of history and the significance of victory against your enemy or a threat. The Vietnam war changed America dramatically and still a stigma in their political discourse, just as the Biafra war is to Nigeria. John McCain who had first hand experience and was a POW knows better.  Go and tell the  Americans, Brits,Russians,( the Allies), who defeated the Axis powers(Nazi Germany, Japan, etc), that it is "passed glory" and see what they will say to you. You can also attend WWII victory parades every May and shout out loud ,that they should stop celebrating because it is in the past and lets see if you will likely come back here alive to spew your limited knowledge on issues such as this.

It is quite expected of you to label anyone who disagrees with your foreign policy views as a conspiracy theorist. That mantra of yours is becoming a platitude and very weak argument to make you appear informed. Not everyone is a B.U.T.T-LICKER to the West or anyone who you think should exercise absolute subordination to them for no just cause. One of the main objectives of education is to teach students to think critically, objectively and not to swallow everything that is spoon fed to them. Unfortunately, it is not appropriately applied by some people. God gave us the brain to analyse, evaluate, research, scrutinize issues especially very important ones. If you believe 100% in what the media says and particularly about incident leading to Bin Laden's death, then the media spin doctor must have carefully and brilliantly choreographed it very well. After all, it was Joseph Goebbels who said, "when you tell a lie over and over and over and OVER again, it becomes a truth".  What planet are you living on?

Beaf:
Lol @ Mr--Why and his ISI.

I must not be a member of the Boer community to see the handwriting on the wall.  You just have to take a look at their blogs, online comments to have a clue of what is really underneath. Most of them want to see the New South Africa under the leadership of blacks fail.

Do you think those Boers were happy to hand over power? Who are you kidding?  Once beaten, twice shy, my friend.

The church has reversed the ban @ topic.

We can all move on now and check out the next news item.

The black guys who were hurt by the matter can now breath a sigh of relief and go back as they were before.
Either they reverse it or not is their cup of tea.  The main issue that caused the American civil war was the Southern states wanted to institutionalized slavery. And they succeeded by forming the confederates states of America. Many people in the US especially in these southern states are descendants of these bloody racists. Racism is deeply ingrained in the system and psyche. There are lots of segregation in churches in the US. The worst will keep happening.

My point is black people just need to accept reality and embrace themselves more. Do not go where you are not wanted!!!

It boots into Win8 first, then I choose Windows 7 and pc restarts. I haven't found time to tear it apart or study it online anywhere. Might be good eventually but I feel it will be a better OS for me in the sense that I will get more calls from end users. Looks difficult to use.
Does your PC still operate under the same speed after installing it or did Win8 slow things down? I learned that it will operate fine under 128bit data processor.

^ it just shows how mypopic you are when it comes to international security matters! I think it is better you settle in with your local "MEND" security know how and stay clear of the international security/intelligence issues.

FYI, the US raid in Pakistan was sanctioned by the highest level of Pakistani intelligence. If you were not told by your "heresay" Nigerian press, know it now that the Pakistani ISI agents along the Afghan boarder saw the two chonooks take-off from the US base in Afghanistan using thier night vision binocs! FYI, Pakistani have your so called MiGs as well! Not old Gen MiGs but the next variant to the recently developed MiGs.

You'r really a Fulani beaf! Showing US a RPA/drone! Haha if only you knew that drones are usless without foot soldiers aka 'first eye' which is what the Pakistani army has been doing for the US. Ask yourself, why is russian not investing in drones technology like the US? Instead they are busy working H/ICMVRs which is the future! Maybe you need to also refresh your memory that the base where the use lunch these drones from are operated jointly by both the US  special forces and the Pakistani ISI.

Need I remind you that Pakistan posess missiles technology with capabilities to develope, test, deploy and lunch without any external assistance! Oh, remember them nukes?,  they got 'em too!!
You have a broad understanding about international security/intelligence issues from your analysis. And not much to add to what you just said.

And for those of you who think otherwise and see USA as a 'god'. They are not immune to attacks and can be given a beaten. It has never been impossible in the history of warfare. Ask the likes of Roman Empire, Alexander the great to Nazi Germany.

Pakistan Armed forces and ISI are not to be taken for granted. Even the Americans knows this. In fact, they gave the Americans the green light on Osama bin laden. That back to back drama you see in the news afterward was just a camouflage. The Pakistani's give NATO immunity to operate freely in that region does not mean NATO can't be called to order when they misbehave.  The Pakistani's produce their own weapons from low grade to high tech including NUKES. Not like Nigeria and other African countries that buys their weapon to the last bullet.

I don't wish to go further into military intelligence, in which Pakistan ISI is considered one of the best and feared.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inter-Services_Intelligence

It is better to keep quite if one does not know much about potent issues like this instead of making mockery of yourself.

Do not be brain washed by the press thinking America is everything.  You can always apply some informal logic.

You obviously have deep-rooted issues within yourself which you struggle to resolve. You think that the best way for you to rectify your psychological imbalances is to vent out your frustration in hope that you might get cheerleaders to support your lunacy. You also think that South Africans like me come to this forum to do comparative analysis between our two countries as such you foolishly believe that we are here to brag and belittle you which in turn makes you defensive.

You see a man afar walking towards you. His intention is to visit you and shake your hand but your inferiority complex makes you wrongfully sense danger, you misinterpret everything this man does and you consider him to be against you. You secretly feel that this man is superior to you when in reality his at times inferior to you. Because you don't like this irrational secret feeling, you spend time looking for ways to dismiss it. So far the only way you have found to dismiss this secret feeling is to credit whites for everything but the secret feeling still persists. It's irrational my friend.

Black South Africans experienced the most brutal forms of institutionalised discrimination during the years of Apartheid. Many of us lived through those times and we know first hand how it's like to be discriminated against. As a result, our constitution which was written by blacks prohibits any form of discrimination coz we know it's bad.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LGBT_rights_in_South_Africa
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Promotion_of_Equality_and_Prevention_of_Unfair_Discrimination_Act,_2000
Inferiority complex my foot. Would you classify Bob Marley, Lucky Dube, Malcolm X, Steve Biko, Oliver Tanbo, Marcus Garvey and others who fought, spoke and laboured tooth and nail for your freedom today as having inferiority complexes for being brutally honest?

Now let me tell you some more bitter truth. The Black African youth is fed with and blinded by commercialism. Israel as a state has never rested since its inception. They know who their real enemies are and those include the Europeans- who dealt with them mercilessly for centuries because they were simply Jews. And here you are being complacent. If those Boers had their way in Southern Africa again; they would do much worse than apartheid.

Somebody got to pay for the work
We've done, rebel.]

CRAZY BALDHEAD

[i]Them crazy, them crazy -
We gonna chase those crazy
Baldheads out of town;
Chase those crazy baldheads
Out of our town.

I'n'I build a cabin;
I'n'I plant the corn;
Didn't my people before me
Slave for this country?
Now you look me with that scorn,
Then you eat up all my corn.

We gonna chase those crazy -
Chase them crazy -
Chase those crazy baldheads out of town!
---
/Scat singing/
---
Build your penitentiary, we build your schools,
Brainwash education to make us the fools.
Hate is your reward for our love,
Telling us of your God above.

We gonna chase those crazy -
Chase those crazy bunkheads -
Chase those crazy baldheads out of the town!
---
/Instrumental break/
---
We gonna chase those crazy -
Chase those crazy bunkheads -
Chase those crazy baldheads out of the town!

Here comes the conman
Coming with his con plan.
We won't take no bribe;
We've got [to] stay alive.

We gonna chase those crazy -
Chase those crazy baldheads -
Chase those crazy baldheads out of the town.

Man, the world is more polarized today. If you are short-sighted, you will go extinct. It was said that "Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it".  I look at Africa and most Africans and I see a confused people.

cap28:
GBAMM!!!!!

If the majority of blacks in africa think like paniki it will just be a matter of time before the whites succeed in completly exterminating all of us in africa- HIV aids in africa is highest where there are large white settler populations in africa - do you think that is a coincidence? these white parasites are determined to take that land at any cost.

they are using everything in their arsenal: poverty, crime, HIV aids and now they want to decimate the black population even further using homo.sexuality - these are the same methods they are using to decimate the black population in america and europe.
Bro, sometimes, I ask myself, why are we Africans so gullible and naive? The average intruder says at his dinner table, "Africa is too blessed to be left in the hands of the natives".   Too bad, many of us do not know what Social Engineering entails.

Based on those, it is obvious he has no substantial links with EDL.

Communicating with people or admiring people does not mean the people can be held responsible for your actions.

EDL did not drive, encourage or promote him to kill.

EDL have not promoted the killing of anyone so far.

So really there are no grounds to even link EDL to his killing or suggest the ban of EDL. So I would not expect any group to suggest the ban of EDL.
Ideologies; especially toxic ones can be fatal. You are in perpetual denial. Why can't you just acknowledge facts instead of arguing blindly.

The Economist-  One of my favorites. Very articulately written.

If Nigeria does not put her act together.  We will make your dream come true.

Good comment. I really don't understand the thinking of those who seek to justify this woman's action because ethnic discrimination exist in Nigeria and Africa. As adult, we must recognise that what is wrong is wrong. Period. Sensible adults condemn tribalism and racism. They don't use one to mitigate for or justify the other.

In any case, those of us who know the UK understand totally what this woman is. Absolute thrash !!! It is therefore offensive that she views herself better than the Polish , Nigerian, Ghanaian or Tanzanian immigrant contributing positively to the economy of the UK. If you ask the pragmatic economists who deserves to go, it will be her kind they will choose to toss overboard. Lazy, indolent , uncouth, yobbish, poorly educated and most likely on benefit !!!

A British caucasian business tycoon actually went on radio , BBC 1, to defend immigrants by testifying to how hardworking and dedicated they are in comparison to the Brits who are "lazy , unwilling to pull their weight and thinks the world owes them something" !!!! The man went further to say that he will always employ immigrant legally allowed to work because, as per life's reality today, they are "far better value". The Brits risk becoming mediocre if they don't jettison their natural conservatism and arrogance to see how the world is changing. You cannot deem yourself superior merely because you are caucasian and British when other non-caucasian Brits like Idris Elba, as a random example, continue to put the "great" into Britain while you are a lazy, poorly-educated zero draining society !!!

This ignorant piece of thrash has probably never set foot in Africa to see how white folks are deified  in many Countries - even by our Government - to the extent slavery comes to mind. At least most immigrants to the UK work , pay taxes and must submit to a system where merit and ability is king. The woman is just one of the many racist losers looking to blame others for her failings.

Naturally anyone not "British" is her target while she remains blissfully ignorant of how non-caucasian Britons like George Boateng, Chuka Umumma, Chris Akagbusi, Daley Thompson, Glenda Jackson, Lewis Hamilton, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and many, many, many others have contributed far more to the greatness of Britain than she can dream of doing if she lived to be 800 years!!! The woman is disgusting. Pure and simple.  She has already condemned her son to becoming a neo-Nazi youth with how she has no qualms poisoning his mind with views that will make the boy a liability to current society where borders are shrinking and ability/talent is king.
You seem to have good understanding of the British society; its strengths and shortcomings.

Sagamite:
What pile of junk is this?

First of all, understand the difference between racism and anti-immigration and stop mixing your argument up.

Secondly, so you think the average tribalistic foooooooool, like the ones we see on NL, does not think people of other tribes are "inferior to them, a curse, liability and opportunists".

What a pile of junk!
Bro, you may dismiss it as a pile of junk.  The reality is stark. I can tell the difference between racism and anti-immigration. If you don't know it yet, anti-immigration is a code word for underlying racism. Since racism in the sense of the word is outdated.  The difference is clear. When I see anti-immigration ,I know it.  I am not trying to scream racism all the way, but the world- a society of false consciousness- you are living in is much deeper than you think. All you have to do is look far beyond your nose.   Just go take a look at number of forums and sites supporting that woman and you will understand what is beneath the surface.

You think you are in heaven but you are living in hell

PoliticsRe: Obasanjo Approached Bush For Support On Third Term-condoleeza Rice by MrWhy1(m): 4:55am On Nov 30, 2011
Why must/should a president of a sovereign nation approach another for support on redoing the constitution for a third term?

Talk about inferiority complex and a lack of independent mind.  Where is the dignity and integrity?
PoliticsRe: Racist British Woman Captured On Videotape by MrWhy1(m): 2:43am On Nov 30, 2011
Some of you here equating Racism to Tribalism are wrong. Both are fundamentally different. We may disagree as tribes but we don't go the length to disregard and dehumanize each other as human beings or that one group are meant to be slave forever.  We have our misunderstandings though, but we tend to joke about them most of the time.  Do Not Compare.  It is just like comparing the civil rights struggle of Black Americans to that of G.A.Y's like some are doing in the US; which is simply not the same.

These racists see you as inferior to them, a curse, liability and opportunists; who only like already made things. They believe that you should be in the plantations instead of riding the same train with them. They hate multi-culturalism and believe that it is being forced upon them by their selfish politicians and capitalist crusaders.  If they are given the chance to speak their mind and act, they would round you mostly NON-White in a minute to the gas chambers like the Germans did to the Jews. Remember that majority of them voted for Hitler fully aware of his Anti-Semitic leanings. Neo-Nazi underground cell was discovered in Germany the other day after killing 7 immigrant over the last 8years or so.

This woman was brave enough to say out what many of them think.  For those of you here trying to run away from the truth and reality. Don't starting thinking about making your own place better. Keep deceiving yourself until the day Reality Check hits you on the face BOOM! like a bag of cement. You will be next to be told to go back home or called a coward monkey without brains who can't contribute in making his country better just like the North Africans are doing. No wonder they respect them more despite their terror carnage against the west.

The problem of Nigeria is not all about brainstorming and analyzing, it's all about actions. I am tired of reading and listening to critics and analysts both online and on the screen. What we need in Nigeria is a team of vibrant Nigerians who carries the mind of fire, who possesses the heart of a lion, who has the power and the strength of a horse and not the timid set of pple who hide behind their computer home and abroad and talk rubbish. Let me say this emphatically, many Nigerians are so fearful and that is why things will never change. At the same time 70% of the Nigerians in Diaspora can never do anything to revive the glory of our nation rather than proving holier than thou whereas many have their impact in destroying the glory of Nigeria. You can say whatever you like, I don't care but don't you ever think you can right the wrongs of Nigeria with sweet talks and brilliant articles from afar, it will not work. Besides, you alone cannot do it, it requires a conglomeration efforts and actions with God's backing.

Gbammmmmmmmmm over and out
You made very good points and I like your objective approach. However, with brainstorming and analyzing, we can reach a consensus and collectively organize online just like the North Africans did.  How do you expect us to co-ordinate if we don't decipher every aspect of the system as like minded group online on social networks or forums. The North African revolutions have been in the making for years. They congregated and organized online before mobilizing.

We are dealing with very powerful and intelligent status quo. If we are not informed and up to date with their bad policies, We will be floating without substance. We also need to raise awareness amongst our peers who don't understand the real issues instead of complaining and labeling them.

Does an average Nigerian know the longterm negative effects of our foreign reserve depletion or the printing of worthless money to prop up reckless banks who gamble with our deposits?

These political thieves are now stealing us massively with a stroke of pen or click of a mouse. We have to make the average Nigerian socially aware; that inturn stoke courage and action.

Amongst foreign people that I have come across including many Africans, It is quite unfortunate that we Nigerians are the most socially unaware group. Instead we pride ourselves in living in distant lands by running away from our problems. No matter how far you run to; your Mother's land is your ancestral land and your host will always remind you of that.

Bro, whenever you are ready for action. I am always available for it cos the madness by these men who have hijacked us for decades can't go on forever. My children and grandchildren deserve a better future in this potentially blessed country.
PoliticsRe: Racist British Woman Captured On Videotape by MrWhy1(m): 12:28am On Nov 29, 2011
Quite awful and that woman is a pathetic racist.

Nonetheless, until we put our acts together at home, we will continue to be belittled and humiliated anywhere we find ourselves. If Obama(half black and US president) could be racially caricatured from time to time. How much more a Nigerian or ordinary black man.

Bad question. Who said Web programming cannot be Object Oriented?

I think the question you meant to ask is if desktop programming or web programming is preferred?  grin
Oh my bad, I meant to ask desktop programming.  We still saying the same thing though. Mastering the tools for either is very paramount.

They sit behind a computer and they complain. Point fingers and ventilate blame without thinking of something positive to redeem Nigeria as a whole.

Who gave you the impetus to classify Nigerians as either a disgrace or a pride. Are you trying to sound intelligent? It is obvious that you are not. It is my understanding that those who try to identify the wrongs in others are actually culprits and hypocrites themselves. Sure, some Nigerians are engaged in illicit dealings that have damaged our image immensely. But people like you bow down to these 'big boys' in real life as sycophants. I challenge you that you don't have the guts to confront them about spoiling our image in person. You come to a forum to lament and posit yourself as a saint.

If you think you have got something tangible to offer and contribute, come to the politics section; where real men talk in depth about savaging Nigeria and moving her forward. Show yourself in the technology, programming, economy, literature, education sections; where real Nigerians brainstorm and analyze Real issues.

In all honesty, what do you do for a living? If you are so passionate and dedicated to stopping these guys who tarnish Nigeria's image. Why not create a website or blog dedicated to this cause? So that you can address it in depth and offer solutions. You could be appointed head of Task force for Nigerians in Diaspora; working in hand with Interpol to bring them to order. Thereby redeeming our image in the process.

Quit the talking, complaining and blaming. Start some action or show us what you have started or done.

He who is without sin, let him cast the first stone.

Before you decide on which of the languages you should learn in depth. Have you asked yourself if you prefer object oriented programming to web programming or both?
