@MR CORK You are one big Uncle Tom who tells his Master in the west that Africans still live on trees. I bestow you the title Sir Uncle Tom. |
one of the Nigeria's greatest psychologist said in the next 4 to 5 years the level of thinking, reasoning and comprehending among the age group of 20-40 yrs in Nigeria would drastically reduced due to this BB plava. You make sense. Nigerians are not taking full advantage of the internet. They refuse to see that the internet is library full of information and unlimited knowledge. What do you recommend to halt this reduction in thinking and reasoning trend and to improve productivity amongst the youth in this Information Age? |
democracy, democracy, where is the democracy in UN?What is practised is DemoCrazy, DemoCrazy. DemoCrazion of Craze, CrazeDemo at the DN (Divided Nation)!!! |

I support your motion Chief Justice Musdapher. In fact, Nigeria should be ruled by a benevolent Dictator. |
Our Minister of Finance seems to be getting clueless by the day. She is posturing to the world bank and trying to show us that at least she is doing some work. Cmon my friends, let us be serious here for once. How are you going to create jobs and attract investors when your infrastructure is in a dire state and an ever increasing insecurity? How are you going to compete with china in terms of cheap labor and efficiency when they have world class infrastructure to beat? She can only get away with such pandering in Nigeria where majority of the people do not know how the world economy works. |
@Henry40 For a country as populous as Nigeria, I see nothing wrong with the devaluation of our currency. In fact, under normal circumstances, I'd welcome it. A country with a large workforce as Nigeria should be a major exporter of goods by now, and a devalued currency is the only edge we'd have over other countries exporting goods. You are ignoring the root of the problem, Infrastructure! Without that, your theory is useless. You have to be realistic and stop living under false illusion of Theory. Regarding labour cost of a large workforce, it may help to boost an economy but is it sustainable? As economy grows, workers demand for increase in wages. |
My Friends, our economy is fundamentally flawed. This increases inflation, as importers will increase the prices of their commodities. The average man's wage remain flat and he feels the heat in his pocket. We get 95% of foreign exchange from oil. If there is a significant drop in oil prices in the international market effected by new technologies or some unknown factors, expect DOOM and GOOM for Naija. We need to diversify fast. I doubt GED understands the principles of Economics. Although he is a good man with good intentions, he is being manipulated by men who understands how the system works. |
We should go back to the Gold standard my Friends. @ HenryPeinSama You all can say what you want, this is very good news for Nigerians who have active benefactors in the US.Who told you that a $ in the US is easy to come by? Especially in their tough economic climate and rising taxes. |
The depreciation of the Naira will continue as far as the Nigerian government refuses to diversify the economy , encourage local manufacturing and expand the base of foreign exchange earnings other than oil revenue. |
Chai so u actually had to google the term "negroid". See as you stole line for line from wikipedia , chineke me', apparently u have not heard it before and u had to consult wikipedia, DAFTymus, AKA DAftington, u neva cease to amaze me.You are a Stupid Nincompoop. You are only good at distorting facts. It is very obvious that you do not know about scientific journals, let alone read them. Don't you know that Wikipedia post huge amount of information from other sources. You Hippopotamus, you only think ONE way. Hahaa, Idioto the structure of your arguments shows that one cannot learn anything new from you. If you actually knew the meaning of 'negriod', you wouldn't use it in the context that you did. Your brain need restructuring. Narcissist and low life like you. |
is that your best come back line? HuhYou are the one who need to read a book. Because you do not know the word negroid carries a negative connotation. It was coined by Racist theorists. According to a Medical journal , "Even in a medical context, some scholars have recommended that the term Negroid be avoided in scientific writings because of its association with racism and race science". You think you are smart. But you are nothing but a Chump. |
@Igbo boy Nna, o gi wa bu uzo na kpo our black sister ihi. If you call them negroid, the syllogism below summarizes your logic. If Jamaicans are negroid, and Jamaicans originate from Africa, therefore All Africans are negriod. Including you simpleton. Carry on the onyibo legacy and humiliate your own. Blind maggot like you. In fact, if you were to walk into a white neighborhood unknowingly , the first thing that will cross their mind would be "what is that 'nigga' doing here" without minding if you were African or not, because you are simple a BLACK MAN to them. Mind the way you use language concerning your own people. As I said, you need deliverance Nama(Cow) like you. |
@Igbo boy Anuofia. We are talking about generally understood language(Lingua Franca) to be specific as a means of effective communication and the understanding of concept of subject matter and not promotion of English or native languages. Read my posts Ewu(She-Goat), if we were ever to adopt a common language for 'Nigeria' apart from 'Queens English', pidgin would be the alternative for everyone to other regional native languages. You did emphasize education and not language in your post to ]repubocrat. iti like you who can't read between the lines. Your teacher would fail you for your invalid premise. Aturu(Mallam Ram) like you. |
@MsDarksin Nne, you are welcome jare. Always be proud of your root. Do not let uncle Toms like this ogbuefi(Judas Aka Igbo boy) make you think otherwise. For him to utter such words and think of his black brothers in such manner, shows how mentally derailed he is becoming and need revival/ rude awakening before he reaches the point of no return. |
@Igbo boy You be ignoramus of the highest order. In fact, I give you the title Sir Ignoramus. What do you know about education? If you are so versed in your so called 'Queens English' and education, why haven't You or your compatriot won a Nobel prize in subjects that really matter, physics, chemistry, Economics, etc. Yet other scholars from other cultures apart from 'English' speaking have banked the prize more than once. Go and ask a Jewish man how Yiddish came to be. Have you ever heard the word CONCEPT before. If you were thought the Law of Relativity or Quantum Mechanics in Pidgin, I am certain that it would still stick in your head like super glue for years. What do you mean by formal education? The last time I checked Henry Ford who created one of the greatest automobile industry you work tooth and nail to get never had a formal education amongst others including the great Socrates, You see you are lost and in perpetual denial who believe that education can only be achieved formally. Have you ever heard of the word 'autodidact-ism'. From the very day you were born, God gave you thought, your front lobe to REASON. That is why Logic was the first discipline developed and it beget Philosophy and Philosophy beget all sciences and arts you have in your so called 'formal education'. You rely on formal education that is why you can't think for yourself, no innovation, no ingenuity. Even to build bridge, you call the Chinese who don't have good command of English language to come build it for you. Nwafo, you need urgent deliverance from centuries of brainwashing and please stop watching too much western media and start doing your own research Anu-mkpama(He-goat) like you. |
@Omo to dun My guy, you know in our society, we were brought up to see English as the almighty language. Not knowing that the language spread because of the British Empire. Before English, there was Latin, that is why the highest authority of the catholic church still use the Latin rites and conduct their mass in Latin. There are calls for the Vatican to switch to a language that Catholics from other cultures who come to the service understands. Our native languages should come first, But since we are living in this artificially created country called Nigeria, pidgin sounds like a good option for a Lingua Franca because many people understand and speak it fluently. Besides, a foreigner who isn't brought up in the language or lived in Nigeria long can't come overnight and learn to speak it because it is a 'simplified' language as Wikipedia is making us to believe. Haven't you come across graduates in Nigeria who went to university and can't even converse in 'Queens English' fluently? When I went to Russia to undertake a course that wasn't offered in Niaja and many countries, I was made to learn the language for a year before i started my full degree programme. Have you heard of this joke . "Mr Gramatology, your English is bad, na so I see am, becos no bi my Papa language". We can start by Researching and putting more emphasizes on the importance of the study of linguistic and philosophy of language. |
@Igbo boy If they(the Jamaicans) were brainwashed by whites as you believe, why didn't they stick wholly to the 'Queens English'. They adopted patio so they could identify and see themselves differently. It is what we call pride and not inferiority complex. In addition to that, they came up with a unique form of religious movement called Rastafari(although it needs some reformation) but it went Global that even other people are influenced by it including British, Germans, Americans , etc. I am very certain that Jamaicans,(the lost people) as you labeled them are far more respected than YOU. Why because they came up with something unique and have a strong sense of identity despite the fact that their original culture was lost. We are in Nigeria, an artificial country created by the British. In order to carry ourselves along , we need something that we can universally identify and adhere to as one nation and not the tribalism and kolomentality that goes on everyday. |
@Omo to dun Going by your logic. You should start learning to speak Mandarin(Chinese) because the world is going East in few years time, besides Westerners have started learning it. For your information, there is a difference between Lingua Franca and Native Language. With this kind thinking, No wonder other people see us as folks wey no fit think for themselves. Do you have a written history pre-European colonization? Your history was passed down Orally. Until the day we start to do things by ourselves and think for ourselves, we will never be taken seriously. It was a white man who infamously said that "the African man can't think for himself". I thought you would be encouraging more scholarly research on this subject. Let me ask you, How and where did the language English originate from? And do you think the English words and alphabets is 100% Anglo Saxon? |
@baby4u2 Nne eh, you sound sweet and I understand where you are coming from. But the fact remains that we need to have something unique to us. Any language can be structured. It only needs scholars and linguists to work on it. The first computers were programmed in binary language. It was a tedious process and computer scientist/linguist/logicians/philosophers had to come up with a text standard for programming and FORMAL languages were born. All we need to do in any endeavors of life is to THINK for ourselves and RESEARCH. Enough of this topic. I think I will dedicate my Medulla Oblongata on something much Productive as you suggested. |
It seems you are seeing DOUBLE. You need to see an optician. I called you an Uncle Tom and not a Slave. You are the one that were using derogatory and to some extent racial terms to label your follow nairalanders without engaging in constructive conversation or criticism. Now read again. I said using pidgin as a lingua franca that almost everyone in naija understands won't be a bad idea at all. Majority of our pupils fail simply because they can't understand the syntax of the 'Queens English'. Mr man before you consult somewhat unreliable Wikipedia postings next time, try to have a conversation with an accomplished Linguist. If we were to reinstall our kingdoms like Odudua, Benin, Nri and co kingdoms, then using indigenous native language will be perfectly fine. As far as Nigeria is concerned with more than 250 tribes, we need a unique form of communication in all aspects that will unite us on the national level. After all, Western Civilization was built upon other ancient civilizations. The Chinese invented the Computer(Abacus) and the Europeans advanced it. African Americans pioneered Hip Hop and it became mainstream and others are influenced by it. Go and ask Fela why he sang in Pidgin. Sabaka and Rakomi like you. |
Na who dey ask this kind question? U no get PRIVACY? And which kind moderator put this thing on front page, abi you don check in back to the psychiatric hospital ? And you woman. You get the perfect thing and still dey ask this kind question. Give am some kitten and call it a day. To be on the angelic side, DONATE the money to charity and he will LOVE you ever after. |
@blackMOMSTA I see say you still dey worship your SLAVE MASTA. They have written your history for you for the past 400years and you are still adhering to them. No wonder you still dey live in the STONE AGE. Ur native language get writing system? Na still your SLAVE MASTA alphabets you dey use write your Yoruba language. Paste your writing system on here make I see. Beside, I doubt whether you know what writing system is. Go check Wikipedia wey your mate write for you. Na still the same Oyibo dey try distort the fact say Egyptian was never a Black civilization and that Africans were savages before they started exploiting us. Not knowing that we had our own flourishing Kingdoms and civilization. You Babushka. Free your mind and think for yourself for ONCE Akuya. |
@BlakMONSTA Even Arabic get pidgin. Na him Egyptian Arabs they speak that is why it is called Egyptian Arabic. Idioto and DOKITA like you. Travel a little or read some history. Language evolves and used as a form of communication to transmit information which includes culture, identity and history of the people. That your native language(Yoruba) get writing system? Na still the Slave master alphabets u still dey use write your native language SIMPLETON like you. If person post another thread about constructing our own writing system, na UNCLE TOMS like you na him go first say no. Na person like you go see African Americans and start to call their English ghetto, just to please your Onyibo Master. MR MONSTER, use LOGIC and FACTS instead of EMOTIONS. |
@BLACKMONSTA!!!!!! U dey mental there, uncle Tom like you. Who tell you say na slave talk, Brainwashed idiot like you. Spanish, Italian, Portuguese were derived from Latin as pidgin and refereed to as Romance languages. No body tell you say make you prefer your native language to pidgin. If it should be used as a lingua franca, then, nothing spoil after all, it is still part of our history. Na people like you go see oyibo and start to badmouth Africans. Your ID fit you well MONSTA. |
And Afrikaans = Dutch+ Bantu languages+ English +Malay. @blakmonsta You are suffering from heavy doze of inferiority complex. You need serious deliverance from the spirit of kolomentality. You can book an appointment for counseling and prayer. E bi like say u resemble your name 'Monsta'. |
To be spiritual is one thing and to be religious is another thing entirely. Africans used to be spiritual. we have forgotten to be spiritual but blinded by IMPORTED SLAVE MASTERS religions. |
The Jews their religion but they do not let it rule their everyday life. They are well versed in philosophy and psychology. Many of them are even Atheists. They are pragmatic in their approach to life and things in general. But an many Africans are blinded by religion. "God dey". There was this documentary I saw on Aljazeera about Africans that travel through the desert with hopes of crossing to Europe. When the interviewer asked them of the task ahead. They said "God dey" without considering the prons and cons. That is why you see many of them dying on the high seas and in the desert. This is why we don't invent things because we too much believe in the power of the gods/God, rather than in our mental ability to think, imagine and create. |
This is one of the major reasons why most Africans do not THINK! They put religion/faith over REASON. These imported religions are making us kill each other in Africa. "Religion is the opium of the people". It is ironic that the same religions we are obsessed to was brought to us by the "slave masters"(Europeans/Arabs) who continue to see us and treat us as inferiors. Wake UP Africans. Think , please let us start THINKING!!!! |
@OP Nice one and more grease to your elbow for sharing your ideas, hopes and ingenuity with your fellow country men. We need more like minded people like you in 9ja. @HNosegbe and nadkaf Great contributions from you guys. Although, the subject matter presented by the poster is not my area of specialty, I have nonetheless learned something tangible from you guys. Maybe one of you would be the one to design and construct my dream home. Peace |
@eGuerrilla Good observation on "insufficient consciousness". How can we increase consciousness among the ordinary Nigerians? Because there is no national figure who has the integrity to lead us into this. Things are really getting worse by the day. |
Okay we hear you Presidency. Now get back to work and start remaking this nation. Or else, they will be coming after those on the hills! UN to some extent are agents of the west to control "black Africa monkeys". Is there anything tangible they have done for Niaja or Africa in general? They are only there to protect their interest jare. My prayers are with the innocent ones caught up in collateral damage. |
