There is another problem. Over the past week, to log in sometimes becomes a problem. It happens frequently on the phone browser and not frequently on Mozilla. What is happening ? |
onatisi: everytime u bring a suggestion out for seun this mods hide it .but from the look of things i dont think seun himself has time for nairaland anymore so that gives all these modes the laxity to do as they like, because if really seun has been following this site he would have noticed that ppl have been complaining bitterly to the extent of wanting to delete their account.i guess too much money now dey for seun and mybe he has other viable and better business, but my advise to seun is this ppl are watching and learning from ur mistakes ,in biz there is a law never leave enough room to accomodate a competitor cos they will get bigger and most likely push u outYou make sense. Seun may have good intentions but his silence on important issues and keeping his forumers at arms length breeds cynicism. The Mods think they can do what they like. They see themselves as minigods that can hide important posts, threads and put useless, uneducative and baseless foreign threads that does not positively effect the life of ordinary Nigerians and also use their position to carry out personal vendetta. I no longer respect for Nairaland. It is full of fake and bashing threads. For God sake, nairaland is just 7years old. Anyways, he can run down Nairaland. That is his business because people are turning to blogs for information and discussions. Maybe he understands this, that is why Nairaland has gone to the dogs( MODs). My request is include the Deactivation button. Its not by force to hold one's profile hostage. Respect the right and privacy of users or else the word of mouth travels like wind. |
Moukafoam: You want tell us say you are in jand abi?In Jand living in one of the worst places and always told to go back to Africa!!! |
fittty: I TOTALLY DISAGREE WITH YOU ON THIS ONE!!!I like your stomach. @Seun Include the Deactivation button or you will force me to call my lawyers. |
Dimples 316: ONCE AGAIN PROVIDE US (NL USERS) WITH A DEACTIVATE YOUR ACCOUNT OPTIONThe owner of this forum should heed to this lady and introduce the Deactivation button OR....... |
sexkillz: [color=#000030]And another one. . .You phucking dunce ! What are you so paranoid about ? |
HQ: There's supposed to be some way to prevent anyone from sending email using "email@nairaland.com" when the email is not coming from NL Servers. The web host of this forum is the one to blame or perhaps there is something the Owner is not telling us. |
acidtalk: See the Idi*otic criminally minded moderators have started hiding post that is exposing them. They are already auctioning it by running the site down. It is just a matter of time. |
sayso: Seun,my honest suggestion is to re-elect new mods for each forum.Let members elect who will moderate their forums, because there are some mods that are way out of line in NL.I concur |
2sexy: Thank God that this came up. The truth is no one is save here because the mods in the business section has some suspicous and weird attitude to forum post. You are right. The business section is dead and buried. Justwise dictorial and I too know attitude is not helping matters on the travel section. |
fulfillment2020: Now i know that most NL's are ignorant of Cyberworld which they all claimed to be good at. People should STOP accusing Seun or any Mod of hacking or sending out unsolicited emails to the users. Nairaland email was only cloned or spoofed with the help of a webmail or email server to target members of this forum. Its no biggy, this is the hand work or scammers/spammers and not hackers. People that are shouting "hackers" do you ppl actually know the work/activities of hack lords? Lets stop this name calling and adhere to advice and awareness of the Mods.......Remain bless all.Guy talk what you know. How would the DNS allow someoneelse the same right to register or use the same webmail as the original owner of the domain name ? Its either the web Host has been hacked or this is just merely a publicity stunt. |
How is Gossiping about people's personal lives noteworthy Forbes ? The writer deserve it though. |
bayooooooo: There is nothing in UK again. Apply to US and Canadian Universities.Hahahaha... So true. |
justwise: No fat chance. You don't know the way this people work. Just pray to your God for the Economy to keep growing. Because if it falls further into Depression, I bet my watermelon bal.ls that the psyche of the average Real British man will change overnight. Just look at how far right parties are making headways in Europe. I am very sure the Real British won't want to let their beloved Charles Darwin(Darwinism) down. The average white man is very paranoid and has strong survival instinct especially when it comes to coloured people. No place like home. Plan ahead and don't think you will always be accepted there. To before warned is to before armed. Don't let me come here and say I told you so when it starts to happen. God save the Queen. God save the Queen. |
coogar: london is the financial capital of the world which means it attracts the wealthiest people in the world who would not flinch to buy a bottle of coke for £10. in a nutshell, you are living in the same city with wealthy arabmen, oil/gas tycoons, football players, etc and buying from the same market/paying for the same services. the demand/supply curve kicks in.The UK is a place where thieves loves to hide. From Russian Tycoons to Arab Dictators. The financial industry is a very volatile one. It will explode one day just like the last crisis and this time it will be worst. UK has no Real economy like Japan, German or even Sweden. Then BNP will win elections like Hitler and drive Non Whites out of the Uk. God save the Queen. God save the Queen. |

ogugua88: There's nothing left for doctors to do, so he's in my thoughts.I understand. Anything can happen. Life sometimes. Hmmm. Can be very unpredictable.... |
ACM10: Shut up!A God and human induced brain deadness are different. Ariel Sharon was stubborn and didn't heed. Go ask the Rabbi's in Jerusalem. |
ogugua88: I've gone inner tubing. It isn't dangerous. What's dangerous is when you're in a crowded lake. I've been to Lake Lanier and I can tell you that it is crowded 24/7. To make matters worse, people are still high on Independence Day festivities. A passing jet ski struck the boy in the head and knocked him unconscious. This seriously needs to be investigated as I have no clue how a jet ski could not see a tuber, let alone be so close to an inner tube that you strike an 11-year-old boy in the head.I thought you don't believe in prayers and in GOd himself. Anyone who has declared that young man dead, God knows why he is still breathing. His predicament is changing a lot of lives out there as we speak. My uncle was declared brain dead, but today, he can recollect wonderful memories. |
It wouldn't make much of a difference. If we shared same belief, philosophy or ideology; then you would say. But the key word there is TOLERANCE. The Golden rule and love your neighbor as thy self will bring sanity to mankind. |
yawa-ti-de:Singing Kumbayah. You too get mouth .binaflexia:You try sha . But some of your menu's no dey open. *dhtml:That your site need simplicity. Too rag-tagged for the eyes. |
She has a point. It all about concept, ideas and also staying abreast with the latest web technology. We seem to lack it and it spans across many professions and not only our web designers. Instead of attack the messenger, focus on the message. |
Over 95 per cent of Nigerians lack access to the Internet, the National Bureau of Statistics has said. It also stated that the same percentage of the population had no personal computers, an indication of why Nigeria’s development rate had been slow. Experts said Information and Communications Technology played a crucial role in the socio-economic growth of poor countries. The latest figures from the National Population Commission show that Nigeria’s population is about 167 million people. Over 95 per cent of the 167 million Nigerians, according to the NBS, may never have used the computer and the Internet before. This was contained in the “Annual Socio-Economic Report: Access to ICT,” an outcome of the NBS/CBN Collaborative Survey in 2011. The survey covered all the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory. It also considered access to mobile phone, radio and television among Nigerians. The NBS said access to PC appeared to be low with a national average of 4.5 per cent, whereas only 0.9 per cent of those who had access to computers actually owned them. According to the survey, Kogi State has the highest percentage of total PC access in the country with 17.4 per cent, though, majority of the computers are not individually owned. The FCT and Lagos have total access rates of 15.9 per cent and 15.8 per cent respectively; but only five per cent of the computers are individually owned. The survey indicated that all other states had lower than 10 per cent total access rates to computers. It also revealed that Kano, Kebbi, Zamfara, Borno and Sokoto had the least access to computers, at one per cent each. The draft National Information Communications Technology Policy released by the Ministry of Communications Technology in January, showed that the country’s PC penetration was 4.7 per 100 people as at 2010. Similarly, the International Communications Union’s statistics showed that the number of PCs in the country was still as low as seven per 1,000 inhabitants. Analysts said the high cost of computers and the grossly under-developed technological base in the country were major reasons for low PC penetration in Nigeria. The NBS said the national Internet access rates stood at 3.6 per cent in 2011, adding that only 0.5 per cent of the people who had access really owned a connection device. The report said, “Compared to total PC access among persons, a fair number of states performed better than the national rate. “Led by Lagos (27 per cent), two other states (Rivers and FCT) recorded above 10 per cent total access, although a considerable proportion did not claim ownership.” “For states with the least access, Sokoto emerges with only 0.3 per cent access to the Internet. Kebbi, Zamfara, Kano, Bauchi, Kaduna and Ebonyi also turn out to have low Internet access rates, each with less than one per cent,” the report added. The survey noted that urban dwellers had more access and ownership of Internet services at 11.6 per cent compared to the rural dwellers, which was put at 1.5 per cent. Going by the equation embedded in the NBS data, it means that over 158 million Nigerians do not have access to the Internet. http://www.punchng.com/business/business-economy/95-of-nigerians-lack-access-to-computers-internet-nbs/ |
Does he think less of human lives. To even suggest removing subsidy at this critical time when security is paramount highlights incompetence. He is always mumbo jumboing about very important things. The violence is political initiated by party members. Why is he not taking the bull by the horn on security matters like he is doing the subsidy? |
