False ! False !! False !!!

NATO armies like America, Britain, Canada, etc all have at least 3 different types and colours of Camo....grey for desert and urban, beige for desert, green for jungle, white for arctic snow terrain. The photos are all over the internet for free viewing.

SANDF is a homeland terrain army that cannot fight in desert like Sahara or Arabia, yellow sands will expose the only darkie brownie camo that you have and enemy snipers like houseflies under insecticide attack....your one-uniform-only army will be wiped out from distant 2 km away, SANDF has standardized itself to easy death in the battlefield.....fools gringringringrin

.
Please go and learn to enhance your knowledge about the US army.

All you get as a result is units wearing mixmatched cammo and makes it easy for enemy to masquearde as your soldiers.

Our cammo is designed to be effective in all environmental types (see pics)

1. Desert
2. Jungle
3. Savannah

Unlike your cammo which was made on Microsoft Paint, ours is the product of extensive hi-tech studies done by the CSIR with years of research in order to come up with a comprehensive multiple-use camouflage uniform. Not only that, but it is designed to keep you cool when it is hot, warm when it is cold, breezy when you are sweaty and dry when it is wet. Its more advanced than most of your military equipment combined!

And no, most modern militaries dont have multiple cammo's for multiple terrains
The US army who have only one cammo type - UCP
The US marines who only have one type = MARPAT
And the british with only one type - MTP
And Canada with one type - CADPAT
And France who are standardizing to one type - FÉLIN

So, Mr Military researcher - why dont you know that most nations are standardizing their cammo?
YOU KILLED THE MOST DESPERATE AND PATHETIC AGAUGUST.

Failing to take Cuito Cuanavale with over 9,000 soldiers even after announcing to the world that Cuito Cuanavale had fallen; losing its superiority in the air; and faced with mutinies from the black troops of the pressed ganged battalions, the operational command of the SADF broke down and the president P.W. Botha had to fly to the war zone inside Angola. Botha, it was later revealed had flown in to intervene in a dispute among the South African military high command on whether the apartheid army should use tactical nuclear weapons. Botha decided against the use of nuclear weapons because at that time apartheid South Africa was a pariah state.
SA still has the nuclear weapon fuel, they have only dismantled the bombs and can assemble them anytime.

In military we have different dress codes for different event. Every SA soldier is issued with a complete set of whatever is necessary for a combat readiness, from utensils to battle dress. Inspection is held consistently to ensure compliance to the policy.

GLOVES- Some soldiers might make use of gloves while others not. They are only worn for specific tasks and are not battle intensive.

KNEE PADS- same as gloves, some soldiers might find them very uncomfortable to use.

BULLET PROOF VESTS- Only a special branch of infantry wear bullet proof vests. Special forces, Soldiers conducting patrol, Regimental police manning access control like gates, etc. Bullet proof vest is only specific to the tasks and cannot be warn by the general infantry even in the US Army

HELMETS- that is a standard practice and compulsory for every soldier, unless you are blind every SA soldier is wearing a helmet, unless he was just about to wear it. You will be charged for not wearing helmet in SANDF.

The SANDF troops below DO NOT have standard kit....see the American soldiers beside SANDF....you claim Southie has NATO standards grin

Your South African troops in operation zone photos below have lots of MISSING KIT for most of them !

1. No gloves
2. No knee pads
3. No bullet proof vests
4. No helmets

Over half of the troops you put into that 3,000 men SANDF training with Americans have no fvcking SANDF kits, see them incomplete !

Half kitted SANDF troops . LOL grin grin grin

You just proved us right, in that ops where SANDF was forced to deploy 3,000 men, over half CANNOT get complete kit !!!!

So you guys have been deceiving us on this forum for 4 years, showing photos of 10 to 20 SANDF soldiers fully kitted in various photos, now we forced you to post photos from a 3,000 troop operation and ALL WE SEE ARE SANDF TROOPS WITH MISSING VITAL KITS grin grin

Many have no helmet, no gloves, no knee pads, even worse no body armour or bullet proof vests.

SANDF is proved poorly kitted, you CANNOT kit just 3,000 troops. Nigeria beats you hands down on soldiers kit grin grin

Nigeria did not loose a single shred of grass to any terrorist. Our Mantra has and would always remain, the Federal Government has not and did not concede any territory to terrorists".

Nigeria bought 2 VIP helicopters and ordered 40 Helicopters ( MI-35p/MI-35M/MI-17termintor1SH and Gazelle) for the military. The government didn't stop there. They went ahead and got 2 additional Transport planes for the NAF.

Compare that to a South-African Government that blew away money meant for Troop Transports on luxury jets.

SAAF deployed No reinforcements to bangui, you were defeated and you ran away. Pathetic Nation of incompetent cowards.

There is no project to get transport planes, as Zuma has blown away the money meant for Transport planes.

African Big man style.

Afterall, you said visiting Algeria and Egypt is more important than the lives of SANDF troops.

Shame, 3 Transport planes for a country the size of South-Africa.
Nigeria bought all that when they were put on the corner of destruction. SA would do the same and even outdone Nigeria in procuring arms because we have 3X more revenues than your government.

SA were not defeated in Bangui and our parliament took decision to call off their deployments because there was no government anymore in Bangui. Did you expert SA to kill all Seleka rebels and suffer the blames from the world that they have now become imperialists?

Meanwhile, the only nation that lost the battle on their playground is none other than Nigerian troops. BH defeated them with rusty weapons to the extent that they ran helter skelter buying illegal weapons and even recruiting mercenaries.

BH proved more powerful than Nigerian troops. If it were not for mercenaries, almost half of the Nigerian territory would have been lost to BH.

Thanks Nigeria for voting Buhari in power.

You still havent shown how it is better, no where in your link does it say anything about 360 degree radar coverage.

And the link I posted clearly shows Grifo 7 was first fitted on a jet in 1996

You dont have BVR missiles.

Outcome remains the same, Grip detect first, maneuver out of F-7's radar cone and attack from the sides - where it is blind.

If you wish to argue that your radar is better - then tell us how and why.

NAF F-7 jet radar sophistication defeats SAAF Gripen jet obsolescent radar

[/size]

Every time, the Italian Grifo radar gets new upgrades even on the same model, they imporve and modernize the radar technology all the time.

Nigeria purchased the Italian Grifo 7 radar for her F-7 jets giving them the latest year 2005 technology sophistication and 55 km range, also giving excellent scanning and detection of enemy targets above, below, in front, at rear, and sideways.

No escape for any enemy from any angle as this radar gives F-7 jets 360 degree all round protection by detection.

The NAF F-7NI Grifo radar has been tested in REAL LIFE COMBAT SCENARIOS and was victorious against both NATO and Russian bloc jet fighter radars in combat drills.

Coupled with the ~BVR missiles, the PL-9C with 35 km range, NAF F-7NI is rated one of the best combat aircraft in Africa and a superior attacker to the South African Gripen jets which operate a 20 year old radar dated back to 1995 era and the near obsolete SAAF radar is worsened by the Gripen jets short legged range 25 km missiles.

Selex Galileo Improves Grifo Radar for New Application

"Selex Galileo has added new modes to the long-selling Grifo fire control radar and has also designed a pod-mounted version. Angelo Aprile, the company’s head of capability in Italy, told the Military Flight Training conference in London organized by Defence IQ that more than 450 “advanced but affordable” Grifo systems have been sold worldwide. Applications include the F-5E/F, Mirage III, L-159, F-7 (Chinese-built MiG-21bis) and Sikorsky HH-60 helicopter. The most recent announced sale was last year–a second order by the Brazilian air force for its F-5 fleet.

The Grifo radar already includes a variety of air-to-air and air-to-surface modes, including ground mapping and maritime target track, as well as a terrain avoidance mode, according to Aprile. The new air-to-surface modes are simultaneous MTI with SAR and automatic target classification. The new air-to-air modes are raid assessment and air-to-air inverse SAR (AA/ISAR). Aprile said that the AA/ISAR feature is invaluable for non-cooperative target recognition, and showed a pixelated image of an opposing combat aircraft that was clearly identifiable by type.

Aprile said that the Grifo’s ECCM capability has been proven in real threat scenarios. “We have had the opportunity to test against Eastern as well as Western technology,” he added. The podded version, designated Grifo-7, is designed for light attack and trainer aircraft such as the Chinese-designed K-8 jet or the Alenia-Aermacchi MB339. The pod is easily installed on underwing hardpoints and, says Selex Galileo, provides multimode performance that closely replicates that obtained from a typical nose-mounted installation.

Selex Galileo continues to market the Grifo for advanced jet trainers that can also serve as light combat aircraft. According to Aprile, the Grifo’s best detection and tracking performance has been obtained on the Czech L-159 advanced light combat aircraft. The nose of the Alenia-Aermacchi M346 advanced jet trainer was designed to accept the Grifo radar. Selex Galileo has also studied how the radar could be fitted to the Romanian IAR-99 jet trainer. According to Aprile, light combat aircraft fitted with the Grifo can be effective interceptors of larger, fourth-generation fighter types. Or in the training role, they save money by “downloading” portions of the operational conversion syllabus that is currently flown by expensive front-line combat aircraft. "

NAF F-7 jet radar is year ~2005 Grifo radar and is more modern than your SAAF Gripen jet's ~year 1995 radar 20 years obsolescent.

The Nigerian F-7NI is a surprise package for any challenger in Africa, very modern Italian radar, very high speed modern ~BVR missile.

SAAF has 20 km range short-legged missiles, and CANNOT attack from outside angle of a superior Grifo radar on NAF jets, your Gripens carry an obsolescent 20 year old radar, nobody modernized anything on that old school weak radar, all it has is long range, else it's near obsolete.

Missiles don't go dancing around with 100g turns in a close range death zone combat, pilot's death is in few seconds. No SAAF missile can handle PL-9C that speeds at over 4,000 km/h just too fast, it will beat any A-Darter g turn, before the A-Darter turns any spin to play,
the PL-9C has hit the Gripen jets with a sting of death.

PL-9C missile has probability hit on target of 90%.

SAAF is dead and gone to the grave when it faces NAF !
.
Can you see why I have said that you are a dull head. Black and white television set can be made at any time of the year, even in year 2020, should there ever be poor people who still need a cheap television set. The F7 was built in the same way.

Please don't you ever compare your 1950 model aircraft resurrected in the new era of technology to a well sophisticated 4.5 generation gripen fighter machine. That's why the price of one gripen can buy you five F7 jets.

The problem is that you do not understand the concept of the evolution of technology, that's why you are so illusional

yes, chief the world profits from negative reports about Africa. It sells well. So unfair trade policy, harsh globalized trading arrangement and interference on our domestic issues has been a selling point and excuse for western powers to bully and dictate for us.

South Africa is still seen as ready-made food cooked by the white man and served for blacks to eat. Unfortunately the blacks in SA made a nuisance of that meal. After relishing the ones cooked by the anglo-Dutch, they haven't come up with anything near what the Dutch left except corruption, crime, city -decay, impulsive and reckless international statements, disorderly society.

Nigeria on the hand, is the legitimate hope of Africa. The only country which can spur Africa to greatness. You should have seen the reaction of Zimbabweans after our presidential elections . So the West have to tarnish our image with the power of their press. But it is game over, China, India, south Korea and Israel have already discovered what a behemoth Nigeria is, and now the west has rushed in not to be left behind.

AGAUGUST IS A DISGRACE IN THE FIELD OF TECHNOLOGY. NO WHERE IN THE HISTORY OF FIGHTER JETS WILL THEY EVER COMPARE THE TECH OF 3TH GENERATION FIGHTERS WITH THAT OF 4TH-4.5TH GENERATIONS OF FIGHTERS. DO YOU KNOW WHY? BECAUSE THE TECH OF 4TH GENERATION FIGHTERS IS SIMPLY SUPERIOR AND SOPHISTICATED THAN THAT OF FORMER GENERATIONS. IT SIMPLY INCORPORATE ALL THE TECH THAT CAN DEFEAT THAT OF THEIR FORMER COUNTERPART.

HENCE, ANYONE WHO DOES THAT COMPARISON IS PASSING AN INSULT TO THE NOBLE WORK DONE BY SCIENTISTS AND ENGINEERS AND IS EQUALLY IMPLYING THAT SCIENCE IS NOT DYNAMIC. IT IS INDEED REGRETTABLE OF AGAUGUST TO BEHAVE IN THAT MANNER THAT IS TANTAMOUNT OF COMPARING BLACK & WHITE TELEVISION SET TO HD PLASMA OR LCD/3D TVS. THAT'S WHAT WE CALL THE EVOLUTION OF TECHNOLOGY.

THE BLACK & WHITE TVS CAN BE MADE AT ANYTIME OF THE GENERATION OF TECHNOLOGY, YET IT WILL NOT EQUALLY MEAN THE TELEVISION SET IS ADVANCED. THE SAME WAY THE F7s WERE DEVELOPED WHEN THE WORLD WAS DEVELOPING THE FORTH GEN FIGHTER JETS. THE F7 IS AN EXPORT VERSION OF J7 YET IT DID NOT INCORPORATE ALL THE FEATURES OF J7. IT WAS BASICALLY MEANT TO MEET SOME OF THE POOREST COUNTRIES WHOSE AIR FORCE WERE TROUBLED AND IN DIRE NEED.

SOME OF HIS WEAK POINTS ARE THOSE OF ALSO COMPARING 3RD GEN AAMs TO THE MOST SOPHISTICATED TECHNOLOGY OF 5TH GENERATION AAMs. IT IS VERY DISAPPOINTING OF A MAN WHO PROCLAIMS TO HAVE STUDIED SCIENCE. EVEN WITH COMPUTERS, THE IT SPECIALIST WILL TELL YOU THAT SOME COMPUTER SOFTWARES ARE MORE RECENT AND ADVANCED THAN OTHERS, THE SAME WAY AS CELLPHONES.

I have lectured you so much, but your moronic head still thinks radar is like FLIR foward looking infra red.

Radar is not light beams, it is waves that blow out and expand from emission source.

No matter how you turn aside, the F-7 is facing the Gripen, your sideways turn still enters the divergent waves coverage of the F-7 Grifo radar and at 50 km away the F-7 detects the Gripen.

I have shown you scientific sources of the known radar detection in combat, front hemisphere, lower hemisphere, upper hemisphere, rear hemisphere. The ranges are specified, Dis you see anything like range for side hemisphere ? Fool !

"The forward-facing NIIP N011M Bars (Panther) is a powerful integrated passive electronically scanned array radar. The N011M can function in air-to-air and air-to-land/sea mode simultaneously while being tied into a high-precision laser-inertial or GPS navigation system. It is equipped with a modern digital weapons control system as well as anti-jamming features. N011M has a 400 km search range and a maximum 200 km tracking range, and 60 km in the rear hemisphere. The radar can detect ground targets such as tanks at 40–50 km. The Bars radar will be replaced by Zhuk-AESA in all Su-30MKI aircraft."

No matter how you turn aside, the F-7 is facing the Gripen, your sideways turn still enters the divergent waves coverage of the F-7 Grifo radar and at 50 km away the F-7 detects the Gripen.

Stop adding the non-existent side hemisphere as radar has become an FLIR.

You live in a psycho world of imaginary day dreams different from how air combat and jets operate

TLITLITLITLI…(laughing in Xhosa)

HE DOES NOT KNOW DETECTION RANGE PLAY A VERY VITAL ROLE IN A DOGFIGHT. A FIGHTER WITH A BETTER DETECTION RANGE WILL HAVE ALMOST ADVANTAGE OF EVERYTHING, PLANNING, STRATEGISING, TAKING A FIRST SHOT, ETC.

THE F7 HAS A POOR FCR AND CAN NEVER FIRE MISSILE AT 35KM, IT WILL HAVE TO COME AS CLOSE AS 20KM IN ORDER TO TAKE OUT THE TARGET.

IT WILL NOT HELP TO ARM F7 WITH BVR OR EVEN 35 KM AAM OTHER THAN THAT OF PAKISTAN WHICH HAS FCR OF 35KM RANGE.

Nope, you are the fool, as I see your photo illustration of an ancient propeller aircraft of 1940 vintage.

i post photo of jet of year 2000 milleniuem, you reply with 1940 old school photo. You dey craaaaze ?

Jet radars has detection for upper hemisphere, lower hemisphere, and rear behind the jet.

Thats how jets detect enemy above, target on ground, and enemy behind. F-7 has a circa year 2005 modern generation Italian- Grifo radar.

Example :

"Phazotron N001 Zhuk coherent pulse Doppler radar with track-while-scan and look-down / shoot-down capability.
The range of the radar against 3m² targets is over 100km in the forward hemisphere and 40km in the rear hemisphere. The radar has the capacity to search, detect and track up to ten targets with automatic threat assessment and prioritisation."

As I said, it is almost impossible for Gripen at 120 km away to be behind the F-7, when the Gripen and F-7 are coming face to face from two opposite directions of each person's war zone frontline, except you are stupiid enough to think South Africa built it's air force base inside Nigerian territory so your jets take off from behind NAF air base and approach F-7 from behind.

Foolish daydreamer grin grin

Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Msauza(m):

At 120 km away, the Gripen 20 km missile is TOTALLY useless.

At 50 km away, F-7 detects the Gripen, if the Gripen has turned to it's back to approach from behind, the F-7 simply banks, simply turns and becomes face to face with the Gripen in few seconds.....the simplest aircraft maneuver in the world I could say

Your just posting crap, you know NOTHING about air to air dogfight. Go sit down men !

CASE CLOSED
.
AT 50KM THE F7 WILL STILL NOT BE ABLE TO DETECT THE GRIPEN. THE F 7 HAS A VERY POOR DETECTION RADAR. THE GRIPEN WILL DETECT IT FROM 120 KM AWAY AND FROM THERE IT WILL PLAN ITS ATTACK FROM THE WEAKEST LINK OF F7 JET. EVEN THOUGH THE GRIPEN WAS NOT BUILT AS A STEALTH FIGHTER, IT ENCOMPASSES ALL THE FEATURES OF A STEALTH FIGHTER BECAUSE IT WAS BUILT AT THE TIME WHEN THE FIRST STEALTH FIGHTERS ENTERED SERVICE AND LUCKILY IT INCORPORATED ALL STEALTH FIGHTERS FEATURES.

THE F7 WILL NOT STAND A CHANCE AGAINST THE GRIPEN, I BET WITH MY LIFE.

At the time of its inception, the JAS 39
Gripen was the most advanced fighter anywhere in
the world since supplanted by the "5th Generation"
Lockheed F-22 Raptor and similar types. While not
a "stealth" fighter per se, engineers ensured the
Gripen delivered a reduced radar signature due to
its inherent design and construction features when
compared to similar aircraft types.

So that people like us in far away America can see it on internet.

All standard military shows are civilian fun far, the buyers are civilians from government ministries of defence.

.
Agaugau, the RAND SHOW is not the platform to advertise weapons. The SANDF attended this year rand show to exhibit their arsenal to civilians including the simulation of warfare tactics.

AGAUGAU, SANDF USED TO HIRE MANY BLACK AND COLOURED SOLDIERS THROUGH VOLUNTARY MILITARY SERVICE AND COMPULSORY MILITARY SERVICE WHICH APPLIED TO WHITES. THEY HAD A STRENGTH OF MORE THAN DOUBLE THE NUMBER OF NAF TODAY

THE F7 NI CANNOT USE BVR OR AAM WITH A RANGE OF 35KM BECAUSE IT WONT BENEFIT IT AT ALL. THE F7 CAN ONLY SHOT AT TARGET FROM THE MAXIMUM OF 22 KM AWAY. IT HAS A POOR DETECTION RANGE BECAUSE IF IT RELEASES AAM AT 35KM, THE MISSILE WILL GO ASTRAY. IT WONT BE ABLE TO KEEP TRACK AND CONTROL OF THE MISSILE.

Yes to pay workers salaries
.
DOD has a special human resource directorate for the salaries of members and is directly linked to SA department of public service and administration which is the central HR department of the government.

Their salaries couldn't be $4.8 billion.
