agaugust: El shabab terrorists k.ill people inside Nairobi shopping malls, but Kenya remains big tourist attraction for the whole world.
Criminals are on hourly rampage all over South Africa like ants swooping on sugar cubes, tourists are careful to avoid many places so as not to end up like the Unlucky Lucky Five
You live in a glass house, don't throw stones . KENYA in actual facts, is not as risky as Nigeria in terms of security. It is a well secured country and its just only opportunistic attacks that happen once after a while. Terrorism in Nigeria is the order of the day. In respect of SA, crime is not and does not even come close to terrorism where people are beheaded like goats and have their bodies bombed into pieces. My body even shivers when I get to picture it. I rather be in a crime ridden country than in a country that will have my head separated from my body. Just in case to let you know that the US where you claim to be residing has a problem with crime as well. |

One thing on my mind that pulls tourists in the country has to do with THE MAN. If you missed the opportunity to meet him personally, I pity you.
THE MAN.

agaugust: No..... beauty varies by what you decide to show and publicize.
Fact that South Africa makes lots of photos of what they have and display their best tourists sites on internet does not makes other countries less beautiful. Every country is not photomaniac.
Most French tourists visit francophone West Africa.
I live in the USA and every year, 90% of well to do Americans travel overseas for tourism. The top list destinations are :
Mexico Brazil Spain Hawaii Bahamas Dubai Thailand Vietnam Italy...Roman empire monuments and great arts Australia Egypt....Pyramids Israel...Bible monumet sites Kenya....Safari
Sorry, very very few American tourists know about South Africa. The biggest tourist travellers in this world are the Americans and those places they visit around the world are said to be awesomely beautiful.
The world neither starts nor ends in South Africa, you SA guys need to travel out and go see that none of the seven wonders of the world is found in South Africa, I am sure the great wall of China is not situated in Cape Town
. . WRONG(X). This man comes in my mind. No american unless is a handicap can ever tell me he/she doesn't know the man. Apartheid museum will take SA on that list. Oscar pistorius recently dominated the news in America and his book is even selling like hotdogs in the US, thus, many Americans know more about SA.

agaugust: No need to imagine a calamity that will not happen to Nigeria. We have done nationalization before by turning British Petroleum to African petroleum, so we can just ask Globacom as our national telecoms carrier to take over MTN.....easy ride.
I see SA guys no longer boast about about eating Nigeria's $9 million, they now realize we will eat up their MTN worth say 100 times more, then we will know who is the real big loser . MTN is not under your mercy, that's all. |

Thousands of tourists visit Nigeria, government is not interested in documenting it or recording those events. Tourism sector is not yet priority for Nigerian governemt, the great sites are there and hug number of tourists visit, especially the annual festivals . No tourist dares to visit Naija, unless is prepared to face BH for beheading. |

Mr Mokopa, truth is the farthest thing from you.
All my posts have all been proven to be accurate. The fact you have no aviation fuel and the fact you fly 70years old dakota and 3rd hand C-130's from the U.S have all been proven to be accurate. SA makes aviation fuel, how can you say that we don't have it. Shame!! |

You are an insecure puppet who is too shallow minded and an honour-destitute who lacks credibility to face the facts of your life. I concoured with southafrica's infrastructre but does that make it better no way. Again it is not me but the whole bleeding world do not see southafrica as an "african" country. Black people are not given any credit about southafrica. That is why another country which has a black heritage must fill that void. And Nigeria is doing it beautifully. If you will be bold enough and not be a lilly-livered,self-deluding swamp rat who cant look himself in the mirror, do your research and see how the world see southafrica. Little fool. What about Boko haram? Tell me are you also doing great with it? Nigeria is just very unstable, one terrorism after the other. So let the rainbow nation do it for you. |

The southafrica that exists since 300 years to 1994 when blacks were asked to come down from the trees, caves and jungle is still the same south africa today. You have nothing to boast about, believe me. You never hear of an anglo-dutch bragging but black south africans who were let out onto civilisation just yesterday keep ranting. so the world seem too big for you guys you keep acting as aliens on earth. Your owners afrikaans and the British settlers dont brag because they know southafrica is still a bleeding third world country. Chineke!!! Lagos is Africa's biggest city in terms of population only, but Johannesburg is the largest. |

lezz: it is either you are new to Nigeria or you are simply lying. I reside in Enugu for your info and for the last 4 years alone Enugu is one of the fastest developing cities in Nigeria. Large percentage of Nigerians live in cities. What are you really saying. Lagos alone is 25 million people. Followed by kaduna which is about 19m then kano not to mention portharcourt, abuja and environs, ibadon, benin ,asaba etc. Infact Nigerian government is advocating for people to go back to rural areas for agriculture and investment. That southafrican government feeds your youth and school children proofs how lazy and poor black southafricans are.all of your companies and roads are built by anglo-dutch europeans. Nigeria on the other hands represents the hope, dreams, efforts and aspirations the entire black race. South africa is seen as a european extention so can never be a black man's bragging right. I will surely have to lecture you about Nigeria because you are seemingly showing signs of ignorance. Nigeria has over 170 million people and Lagos does not have the stats you are claiming. Statistics show that over 70% of Nigerians live in rural settlements, something which I have witnessed on my own. Enugu is still far behind as compared to what you get in SA. I do not blame you because you have never been to any country which is better than Nigeria, no wonder you are still impressed by the backwardness of Enugu and the outskirts of Lagos. I hope you visit SA to see what development is. Red carpets cannot just be rolled out for mediocrity. |

lezz: you are living in an imaginary life if you honesty believe your southafrica controls a thing here. Mtn dstv and shoprite are nothing but a fleck in the ocean of the economy of Nigeria. We make south africa redundant as China does japan. Chief, Nigeria is busted and cannot do anything to go off the chain. MTN is by no doubt the biggest service provider in Nigeria and has created many jobs which add significant value on the economy of Nigeria. The same applies to DSTV which has employed and empowered many businesses in Nigeria. Should they however decide to pull out, Nigeria will at all costs feel the heat from a large scale loss of employment and revenues. So, for as much as South African companies need you, you equally need them even more. So they are not under your mercy. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Msauza(m): 9:16am On Oct 10, 2014 |
lezz: satellites are bragging rights anywhere. And Nigeria's economic figures are for real. If you reside in Nigeria for the last decade you will see the evidence on the streets. For the infrastructure, we do not dispute it. We are a very young and large country and are catching up. Our economy is a new found one like China's. We are getting there. The dutch and british developed southafrica as home away from home when the whole of africa was still unknown to civilisation. We are matching and very fast. That is not a reality. I recently travelled Nigeria, all from Lagos to Enugu, but it still remains the same old Nigeria. SA effect changes very fast on the aspects of infrastructure and today more than half and quota of citizens have electricity and water. The only government in Africa to build free houses, grant pensions to the old and young. Give feeding scheme to school children and many more. Meanwhile, roads in Nigeria are in bad conditions and large majority of citizens are situated in rural settlement. Bigger economy with nothing to show for it. |

lezz: i will take that as an implicite admission that mark henry and the colonel has thought you some lessons. Well since they are my country folks and share same motions with me. I shall oblige your request and allow them turn you green. Lol. Green or not, the fact remains SA still runs like a bull on Africa's kraal, despite its demotion. They control potion of Nigeria's economy and that of many African countries, something which Nigeria cannot do in Africa with their top position as Africa's economic power. However, my question is; is your economy for real or only for figures? |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Msauza(m): 8:30am On Oct 10, 2014 |
lezz: we have a lot to show for it. We manage the west african sub region more than 50 percent. We have the financial headquarters of several multi national companies. The only african country with 2 satellites in the orbit. We have africa's richest individual. Africa's richest woman. Richest blogger. The only country in the world to launch the multi purpose, electronic fully digitalize id. To mention a few. All these for a country that was nothing by 1960 after independence. Barely 54 years later we have africa's largest economy.
Southafrica on the other hand has been developing for the past 300 years as an extension of europe when your forebears where not allowed to participate or dwell in civilisation. So southafrica is the one with stagnant growth who has been leap frogged no leap cheetah-ed by nigeria. lol My friend satellites have at most five years lifespan to function effectively and from that they fade slowly into space junks. It is nothing to boast about for a bigger economy. Nigeria is my second home, but still does not not go anywhere in terms of infrastructural development, while in SA developments are hitting on rapidly. That's why one would ask if the economy of Nigeria is for real or just for the figures. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Msauza(m): 8:21am On Oct 10, 2014*. Modified: 9:00am On Oct 10, 2014 |
I say again, SA with the economy smaller than that of Nigeria still controls Africa on all aspects of economy.
We have much bigger GDP per capita than Nigeria, which means each head in SA has a better living conditions than those in Nigeria. We have better income, our government makes more revenues of the order of 3 x than what Nigeria makes, so what else do we need to worry about.
We have better infrastructure than any country in Africa. We invest than any country in infrastructure. All Nigeria's revenues goes into the war against terrorism, ours build houses, roads, hospitals, power stations, etc. |

lezz: you are the proof i need to conclude that you guys do not read. Now i repeat for your learning: your country Southafrica INVITED NIGERIA to attend bric meeting we TURNED IT DOWN. stop making stupid noise.
Southafrica connot represent africa in un security permanent seat. Why ? She has lost the economic top spot for good. 2nd she isnt really seen as a true african country across the world. Many still see southafrica as a quasi europe extension. 3rd you do not have the population or the international track records. Your countries foreign policy is a disgrace to africa and the civilise world. Your politicians are all rookies in the international stage. I give you a few examples. During the laurent Gbagbo Ivorian crisis, he was a sitting president who lost election but refused to step down. The world kicked against him. nigeria kicked against him. But south africa was the only lone negative voice giving support.
During the libya crisis, ghadaffi was an international terrorist who has tried and destabilise several african countries. When the west wanted to oust him. nigeria was the figst in africa to support and recognise the opposing army in libya, again southafrica was the lone barking voice in the world going anti clock wise. You also failed in mali . You failed again in Israel-palestine conflict which in all honesty is out of your league. So which country would be supporting a rookie southafrica to the UN? You dont have the means or capacity or knowledge and experience to lead in that capacity. In south America brazil with the biggest economy and population is favoured for the UN. In Europe Germany largest economy and population is favoured. So southie has no standing. Our economy will be twice as big as yours in a couple of years and our Citizens are reshaping your social lives and behaviours right there in southafrica. That is what i call neo colonialism. In simple words, economy is not what determines a UN permanent seat. There are many factors they look into. Moreover, it is not for you to decide that SA lost the top spot for good. In future, the tables could be turned around. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Msauza(m): 8:02am On Oct 10, 2014 |
lezz: hehe hehe hehe hehe. Bua bua ha ha ha ha. How could you call an imf, world bank certified and inspected economy a fraud. It is envy written everywhere. Pls the moment we declared our intentions of rebasing our economy which was reflecting our damonic status in 1990,all analyst from the west and even some of your local press predicted you have lost the top spot for good. For your shocker, nigeria's gdp is nearly a billion dollars. Our economy rebase only reflects that of year 2010. The economy grows at 6.5% percent to 7% annually while yours is a mere 3%. So we shall be leap frog-ing you as the years go by.black Southafrica and ghana so getting green every time Nigeria is mentioned. Bigger economy with nothing to show for it. |
