Hi everyone,
While going through my documents, I realized that I was able to get a letter of recommendation from my undergrad HOD since 2008. Is it possible to submit it for my postgrad application? It’s been difficult to obtain another letter of recommendation.
Also, in the place of absence of certificate, can I submit my statement of result?
I have been trying to get my certificate and letter of recommendation since May, to no avail as teaching & non-teaching staff are not available in the school premises. |

Hey guys, I saw on bbcnews IG page that Priti Patel is considering shortlisting countries that can enter into the UK when it reopens, and countries that will not be shortlisted, will have to wait till the pandemic subsides. Just like EU countries have proposed. I saw it on my Instagram feed a couple of days ago, I tried to search for it again but couldn’t find it.
Is anyone privy to this news? |

Exactly! Anyway, with recession comes the biggest opportunities. Let’s see how this plays out. I already quit my job so there’s no turning back on September 2020. God willing. RisenPhoenix: There will always be jobs that the locals won't touch. More difficult in the UK though, because resident immigrant populations are very high; and they are not as choosy. |

That’s fair. I was only wondering if September 2020 is an appropriate time to study abroad, as the world economy will be at its recovery state after the virus. Maybe 2021 may be promising for students. yusufDeveloper: It depends on the kind of job. Jobs lost will be more of non professional jobs. Look at sports now, nah the backroom staff like cleaners and related jobs go loose their jobs. Dem no fit sack their doctors, therapists and professionals. They will urgently need work force to help return the economy to its former position and if they don't have within the country, they'll have to look outside(where student who are skilled can also come in). I think once you are good at what you do, looking for jobs won't be difficult. I checked online for software development companies around the city my school is located and I have seen over 100 jobs posted on the site. So it all depends on the skill you have. My own view though |

Hey guys, just a thought. With the projection that hundreds will lose their jobs in the UK when this crisis is over, I was thinking, the probability of a student getting a 20hr per week job will be very minuscule.
What do you guys think? |

Well, that shouldn’t resort to calling someone a psycho. That’s hella rude! Franklyn4: there is absolutely nothing to get disappointed about, are you not learning from the disagreements? some days must be like this........this will make people to be sure of what they want to post before they do....... or simply attribute what they wrote as their personal opinion......
There is nothing like disappointment here!!!! just air your own part of the argument like they did. |

Hence, if the statement is more than 31 days after obtaining CAS, I’ll have to submit a new statement? hosey: It is not compulsory and it can be the same bank statement as long as the bank statement is no more than 31 days before your biometrics appointment in the visa application centre.
Ensure that any bank statement you use is less than 31 before your biometrics appointment in the visa application centre. That is the law. |

Hey Hosey, Thank you. Kindly clarify this too. Will the 28days statement used for CAS be the same as the one to be used for the Tier 4 visa, or would there be a need to submit a fresh statement of a 28days period for the Tier 4? hosey: Sorry about the loss of your dad.
1. With one year Masters starting in Sept 2020, you are certainly eligible for PSW after your studies. You should apply for September 2020 admission now so you can meet the offer conditions early. You dont have to pay for your tuition now. You just need to pay a deposit ( about 1500 to 4000 pounds) depending on the school to obtain CAS for visa application.
2. It is not an issue. Apply now for admission. You can apply for Tier 4 Visa from June 2020 for September 2020 admission. Use standard visa application when applying in June or July 2020.
3. For your school to give you CAS, you will need to meet the tuition and maintenance fee requirements. You will submit your bank statement. The expected money should be in your account for at least 28 days. It must not be below the expected amount in any time within the 28 days.
Google tier 4 visa, google tier 4 Visa requirements for more information. Email the school where you will be given admission for more info during that time.
So if you show your bank statement to your school by May and pay the allotted deposit, you will receive CAS by June and then apply for visa. You also need to do tuberculosis test and get the tuberculosis medical certificate for visa. Google fo info.
Good luck. |

Hi guys. I’ll give a brief insight about me and then proceed to ask my question(s).
In 2018ish, when I was processing my application to Canada, my dad died a couple of weeks after from colon cancer. I withdrew my application as I couldn’t go through with it. The money I recover from tuition was used to cover the expenses to airfreight his body back to Nigeria. The entire process to get a refund was tedious as I had to submit a copy of his death certificate etc. for the school to release funds to me.
2019, I was totally depressed. 2020 I am picking myself up by the bootstrap and processing my admission to the UK.
I have funds to pay my tuition in full, about £15,000, my mom is willing to commit the £9,135 as a loan towards living expenses (gotta pay her every dime when I start the 2 years PSW). Now here are my questions lol.
1. It is my desire to pay my tuition in May. However, I do not intend to process for the visa application till June, is that doable?
2. I resigned from my job in February, the letter of recommendation was dated a week after resignation, will it be somewhat of an issue during my admission process that the letter of recommendation from my employer is dated 2 months prior to submission?
I have read from pages 1-590 within a month, I am still struggling on the issue of CAS & the 28 days debacle, but I won’t ask questions on it yet until I fully begin with the admission process in May.
I hope to hear from anyone. Thank you guys. |

Thank you jnyuwa02. You are kind. I'll learn to move on jnyuwa02: Yes that is what one has to deal with here on an anonymous forum. Sometimes a mark of maturity is moving on and not addressing them. And by so doing you would have never further given juvenile taunts a day here. Congrats on your achievements. |

Thanks segtak25. I got 2 years as the Economics program is for 16months. Apparently, the school has an option to finish in a year, if the student is quicker. Thanks for your reply segtak25: You can do that when you arrive at Canada since the two schools are based in Ontario. I think you should mail CIC(when you arrive) , informing them on change of school and the duration. Based on your explanation so far It seems you got a 1 year visa and 2 years from York will help you alot in terms of pgwp and the rest.
It's just an opinion based on what have been reading here so far. Wait for others contribution on this. |

Thank you jnyuwa02. I had an impressive educational background and work experience. I think the schools were impressed. Thanks for answering my question. I didn't want to break any rule with CIC jnyuwa02: No consequences. You can change schools easily before you start by accessing your online profile and enacting that change now or immediately after you get to Canada. By the way congrats, two equally impressive schools to get into. You can’t go wrong either way you go! |

it would've been simpler if you had replied my question, unlike this mess you just wrote. Yep, I read 6500pages for a period of 3 months, never dispute that! Please let this be the last time I would've to reply your badly written English, ok! makano: Madam take am easy na, U read from Part 1 to part 14 and no one spoke on what medicals entails? Thats a fat Lie. If u read frm late last month till now(just on this part 14), I can say of two instances where It was mentioned. Just ask ur question in peace, u dnt need to lie u read from part 1 to 14, do you even know what that means, each part has 500+ pages thats = 500 x 13 (excluding part 14) = 6500pages. So u read 6500 pages.. Dis is funny seriously.. |

Guys, I got 2 admissions into 1. University of Toronto - Economics (1year) 2. Schulich School of Business (York University) - MBA (2years)
While applying for my TRV, I used my admission credentials for UoT to get my TRV, now I would be leaving on the 7th of September. Hypothetically asking, should I go to York University and discard my admission to UoT, due to the duration of 2 years, which is a longer stream....,,,will there be consequences for this?
Remember this is a hypothetic question. Honest answers pls. |

Hi guys. I am new to this forum. You guys are doing a great job. I am currently in the process of getting my TRV, I applied for an MBA at the University of Toronto, and I got a message from the VO requesting for me to do my medicals. What I noticed from reading this thread from part 1 to 14 is that no one spoke on what the medicals entail.
Pls can someone be kind enough to tell me what the VO is checking for in the medicals that may make him/her grant a visa or not? is there a certain disease an applicant have that might hinder his/her getting a TRV.
