Good day house, Please i submitted my study permit application dec 11 2020 ( normal route, not nse) , did biometric 18 2020 and upfront medical at IOM lagos 22 april 2021. I have two different questions,

1) My upfront medical has not been updated since i did it, i have tried calling the iom lagos office numbers but it is switched off, how else can i contact them and what should I do?

2)I have sent an email to ircc nairobi office concerning my study permit application as i was told that is where my application is now and i should contact them, i also sent webform to them to speed up my application as I start classes may 10 and my study permit application is almost 17weeks, i got a response from them that it is under active review, what should i do?

Hi. We have same resumption date. Which of the schools pls?

Goodmorning my favorite people. After sending mails upon mails I finally got a valid mail with a direction. I was asked to contact Nigeria office for my application as they are my primary office.
First off, I had thought all primary office was Kenya, hence my mails and webforms have been going to them. Secondly, please I need help with Nigeria offices email addresses. They need to know me. After 3 months with NSE I don't want to believe my file hasn't left the primary office oooo
@Frankrobbn1 @oyibo4real thanks a lot, God bless you.

Thank you all for your good wishes kiss . I've actually received 2 more PPR email from different IRCC official email addresses including lagos, I guess this is their new normal for accompanying child.

It's making sense now cos it was initially visit visa application which was later changed to study visa app as instructed by IRCC. The PPR email came with a different application number that starts with S, which is automatically study/student visa. Thus, I want to assume it's the initial visit visa application that was cancelled.

PS: I never really wanted to share this to avoid abuse, but trust me, sending mails worked for me (I did it in my own and got my PPR after 4 days, I decided to try again last night for my child and his own arrived today).I sent the same email to almost 50 IRCC official email addresses and got encouraging responses from about 5 of them.

More PPR NEWS will soon flood this thread in JESUS MIGHTY NAME, AMEN!!! GOD DID IT.

Dear, kindly share this 50 email addresses cause my tired is tired. When you say encouraging responses how do u mean, cause all I've been getting is active review or in process.

I'm here again oo, I just received my Child's PPR message
few minutes ago, but surprisingly it came as an email from one of Nairobi's email addresses, with the attached PPR letter, I dont know what to make of this shocked.

I didnt get any of those no-reply-cic messages from IRCC. What to do

Edited: And I just checked my GC account to see application cancelled, could this be a system glitch or what? This is confusing really.

Anyways, it's a PPR News, ALL GLORY TO GOD ALMIGHTY, IT SHALL SURELY END IN PRAISE FOR US ALL.

Congratulationsssssss. Nothing to be confused about.

This is a clear indication that they prioritize applications according to resumption as stated when applying. Most people who have gotten decisions are may intakes.
Fall intakes with decisions already are mostly people who couldn’t bear the wait and as a result they differed, as God may have it, their decisions still came. So fall applicants let’s get ready. Hehehehe

I dont think they prioize anything. Its all grace and luck

I am about to start my application. I am already in the Express Entry pool. I want to ask the experienced ones in the house if I should withdraw my EE profile before applying for study visa? I know they say dual intent is not a reason to deny one study visa but what will you guys advise based on your experience.

Thanks

Even if u withdraw they will still see it. Its same Gckey

We trust that this information suffices in responding to your enquiry.

What does this mean people ?
Should I withdraw my application or give them time . My school resume next month May 2021.

I honestly think this mail is generic from Nairobi. This is same mail they have sent to me twice but the one I got from one IRCC (don't know which office exactly) seems a lot relieving

###### LONG POST ALERT ######

It’s Testimony Time

Guys, I wish to share my success story in order to encourage others who have been delayed. First of all, I thank Mr. Frankrobbn1, Mr. JustMellow, Mr. Lekiboboe, and other contributors for their selfless services here. I also appreciate some people who have been trying to answer questions in the absence of the gurus, but most times your answers are wrong and misleading.

Secondly, I like to thank Mr. Frankrobbn1 again because he made efforts to ensure I get approved this time, after 2 previous attempts. He is truly a guru. From the choice of course, to choosing the University, including review of LOE & IMM forms, with covering all possible refusal technicalities in my LOE. I appreciate your help, Mr. Frankrobbn1, Almighty Allah will bless you.

1st Application - Online (Did it myself)

- Course: Post-Bachelor Certificate in Accounting.
- School: University of Lethbridge, Alberta
- Sponsorship: Self
- Application submitted – October 9, 2019
- Application refused – November 6, 2019
- Refusal reasons: Family ties and Employment situation

2nd Application - Online (Done by a Canadian Immigration Lawyer)

- Course: Post-Bachelor Certificate in Accounting.
- School: University of Lethbridge, Alberta
- Sponsorship: Self
- Application submitted – November 29, 2019
- Application refused – January 28, 2020
- Refusal reasons: Family ties and Purpose of visit
- GCMS Notes: No evidence on file of PA’s acceptance to Master of Accounting as stated (VO made a mistake here and we pointed it out in the new LOE), and the Applicant’s plans of study appear vague and poorly documented.

3rd (Approved) Application - Online (With all NSE documents)

- Course changed to: Master of Management – International Accounting & Finance
- School changed to: University of Windsor, Ontario
- Sponsorship: Self
- Intake: September 2021, but was changed to May 2021 while my application was in progress
- Application submitted – February 10, 2021
- Submission confirmation – February 10, 2021
- Upfront medical approved – February 16, 2021
- Eligibility review started – February 17, 2021
- Ghost update 1 – February 24, 2021
- Ghost update 2 – February 26, 2021
- Ghost update 3 – March 3, 2021 (GCMS shows that LOA was confirmed this date)
- New LOA for May 2021 – March 19, 2021, sent via IRCC & Kenya Webforms March 20
- Follow-up emails – Started March 22, 2021, twice a week to Kenya, later to London, and Beijing.
- Email acknowledgement – Received once only from Kenya on March 22 with application still in process. I realized there are 2 types of acknowledgements: (1) Active review: if you receive this, then your application is not almost finalized yet, (2) In process: this means your application is in advanced stage.
- Ordered GCMS notes (through a colleague in Canada, I think it’s faster this way) – March 31, 2021
- PPR & BVL Received – April 12, 2021
- Passport received by VFS Abuja – April 15, 2021
- Passport stamped and Counterfoil received – April 15, 2021
- UPS picked up passport – April 15, 2021
- LOI received – April 16, 2021
- UPS delivered passport – April 19, 2021
- GCMS received – April 19, 2021
- Application Visa Office: Nairobi Primary & Windsor Secondary, but application was finalized by Lagos. PPR & LOI came from Lagos.

Lessons learnt:
(1) Career progression is very important,
(2) Significance of fund and its accessibility cannot be over emphasized,
(3) Home ties carry heavy weight, especially family/economic/volunteering, etc
(4) Travel history is an added advantage for matured students like me (40+), Lagos VO acknowledged this in the GCMS notes.

(3) All the 3 IRCC Forms (Well reviewed by Mr. Frank)

Parting notes
(1) Prospective applicants must be patient
(2) Do not disturb IRCC office if your application has not exceeded processing time or your resumption date is not approaching or your tuition payment deadline is not due soon
(3) It seems Airlines from India & Pakistan aren’t allowed to enter Canada now, so IRCC may shift attention to the Applications from Nigeria, please get set for your good news
(4) Endeavour to go the way of NSE
(5) I feel sad when I read negative comments about Nigeria here, please let’s stop it. It will come to haunt you or other Nigerians. Every country has her challenges, please let’s speak well of our country

BEST OF LUCK TO EVERYONE AWAITING GOOD NEWS

Congratulation!!

LONG POST ALERT!!!

Only a fool will say that there is no GOD! I have seen him at work in my life and I am a living testimony that He answers prayers in line with His will for you and me.

This journey started 2years ago when I initially wanted to do express entry but my score wasn’t high enough. I wrote IELTS back then and got an 8,8,8,6.5 in S,R,L and W respectively. I contested the writing score and to God’s glory, after 3 weeks it came back approved and my writing score was increased to 7 bringing me to an overall band score of 8.

Fast forward to last year October when I suddenly decided that I wanted to try the study route out and saw a course I like but it was one week to the deadline. I quickly gathered my documents and submitted a few days before deadline. I applied to just one school with faith. To GOD’s glory, I got the admission! 2nd hurdle crossed lol.

I was advised by a friend to ready up everything about packaging my application from Nairaland and I turn this platform to my new bible, digesting every detail from Thread 13 all the way from writing my SOP to how I arranged my documents. I even read from someone’s testimony here, to use my office email when applying which I also did. Thank you all for your immense contributions on this platform. You are saving lives!!! I packaged my application without using any agent, all to the glory of GOD ALMIGHTY. I arranged my documents using table of contents for each section as advised here.

Funny part is that when I submitted my application with full NSE, I was expecting that in one month, my visa would have arrived. This one became a serious test of faith but God is always faithful. Imagine being sent for biometrics 1month after applying as against the usual 1 week of other people. I sent webforms and emails once every week, all the way to the same day I got my PPR and they kept responding with their usual email of its actively under control.

One thing I would suggest is that if you are yet to do your medicals, pls do and send to them. It saves you a whole lot of waiting because when they are checking ur eligibility, rather than sending u to go and do medicals which will take more time, its approved immediately.

My timeline is below:

Application Date: February 4th, 2021 (I submitted my application with all the requirements for NSE route)
Upfront Medicals: February 26th, 2021
Upfront medicals passed: March 2nd, 2021
Biometrics Request Date: March 5th, 2021
Biometrics Done: March 8th, 2021
Request for MBS: April 9th, 2021
Submission of Additional Document (MBS): April 12th, 2021
Eligibility review started: April 13th, 2021
PPR and BVL!!!!! April 22nd, 2021

As at yesterday morning, I was still begging God to give me this as my birthday gift and lo and behold at 9:23am, my love letter dropped!!! I laughed, cried and rolled on the floor in my office. I couldn’t sleep all night, my mind has been racing on different things, truly-problem no dey finish, lol. Please pardon my long epistle.

God is too faithful to fail! He did it for me and will do it for everyone on this platform that is expecting. And to the gurus in the house who constantly help and give advice, may GOD bless you and grant all your hearts requests. AMEN

Congratulations!!! Same God that heard you will hear all that are still waiting ijn
