dre11:Taxpayers are funding the extravagant lifestyle of these monarchs across Nigeria which add no value. What is their roles exactly? Custodian of artefacts and traditions? Our Museums can do that. They are living large on people's wealth and breeding like rabbits. That Oluwo's own is worse, a crazy, criminal installed as King. What message are we passing to the younger generation. Someone with a criminal record, made king, and the Governor of Osun refused to dethrone him. |
LOVEGINO:Very available, especially if you are into tech and you are well skilled. |
Kewtt:I am in Nigeria at the moment. I have solar panel wired up to power everything in my house. I work remotely and I have not gone out last week for instance. I bought 30k fuel for the past 2months. I don't feel the fuel situation. Different needs for different people. |
This is a weird question. People have different needs for fuel. What exactly is the objectives of your question? Some people work remotely, hardly go out and have solar panel wired up, their fuel consumption will be low. Some do transportation business, fuel consumption will be high. Some run generator for business but make profit from their businesses to cater for the cost of fuel. |
Gandrova:All the subsidies you have been enjoying in the past from education to dollars to fuel to pilgrimage etc come partly from taxes. |
PlanetZero:“Hope” is the greatest tool for survival. |
RZArecta:The so-called saner climes you all reference rely on taxes to build their infrastructure. You want to be like Dubai, US , UK but you are not ready to follow their models. Like I have mentioned on this thread, US govt taxes tip - this means that if you go to restaurants or bar and you give the person that serves you little money, say 5USD, the US govt will collect tax on that 5 dollars. Imagine if Nigeria govt proposes that, all hell will let loose. |
Sukakma:Trump was just blabbing. Where will the US get the resources and money to fund such large deportation? |
Elon Musk is the worst billionaire ever. Bill gates that halved all its savings gave this guy a chance. |
tensazangetsu20:Do you know what is going on in a country called ....... ARGENTINA ? |
Sleepy Trump |
spiSeyi:Since you have foreign clients, you should be able to afford solar panel to power your gadgets. |
Sometimes I wonder why the governors don’t publish their budget. If it’s truly our money, we deserve to see how it’s planned to be spent. Governors are the most evil in Nigeria but Nigerians always skip them to attack the presidency. |
See how everyone was blaming "uncle" without having a second thought of what could happen medically to the guy. Africans are too narrow minded. |
smokinloud:I You are an ignoramus. You are comparing hypersonic missiles with nuclear weapon. Do you even know what hypersonic missile is ? |
These are the so called “educated”, setting house on fire. The students will most probably be levied to rebuild the house. What is the value and quality of their education. Was this house to approach and resolve issue if they have irrefutable evidences? Are they better than those who do not have western education? |
They killed him and even seized his body. Iran will be so scared as Israel is gradually having their time to settle the account |
When a 2 billion B-2 spirit stealth bomber comes into play, know that something is cooking. Its last combat mission was in 2017 and capable of carrying far heavier payload. Iran was being sent a very clear message here. |
If only Tinubu Government has picked up Igboho when he was freed from Cotonou to answer to his crime in Nigeria, he wouldn't have become this global nuisance. I am a Yoruba and Igboho cannot force Yoruba nation on me. I have my right to determine where I want to be, just like Igboho. If anybody will fight for a Yoruba Nation, it is not that political thug, miscreants who has the blood of many people in his hands. |
cococandy:It's you that cited a reference that referred ONLY to Nigerian-American. We are discussing about Nigerian Immigrants alone. You should have cited a reference that encompasses both the immigrants AND the Nigerian-American. I was not shifting any goal post, it was you that referenced a subset of what was being discussed. |
cococandy:You are running around to justify your position. Your reference referred to "Nigerian Americans, we are talking about Nigerian immigrants who are yet to have citizenship. Why comprehension is so difficult for you, I dont understand. There are immigrants making it, there are Nigerian American making it. Choose your path of travelling based on your personal circumstance. What is so hard for you to understand in this? |
Krismas:If iran is that powerful, why are they jumping from one arab nation to another seeking their support in case of attack? |
God1000:Do you ever blame Hezbollah who use humans as shields, who fire into Israel from human communities? |
cococandy:I do not really understand how to put it to you again. In all my post, i emphasised there are Nigerians making it, and there are some who do not make it. I consistently maintained that your individual's circumstance will determine your journey. Unfortunately, once people do not see it your way, you start giving them names. What do you mean by saying I am "overly negative"? Every statistics your poured out was based on your assumptions and not hard facts. You seem educated and I would expect that you would know how to back up your claims with empirical facts. You were tossing figures likes beancake - 60KUSD, 120K USD as if that is what almost every one earns. Yes, Nigerians are among those migrants who are very educated in the US but knowing how that translates to earning for the family is quite complex and there is no data that will give you conclusion on that. I was surprised when you typed that it was a mater of public information. Pull it off, let's see your source for reference. You are assuming. You are over promising. Let everyone make their own determination without you sweet talking them. Afterall, if things go south, you wont be there to lend them a hand. Thank God I live abroad and in Nigeria, you would have told me dollars are grown on the tree. |
cococandy:# You are upending the discourse. One, when we say "abroad", it does not have to be the US alone. Two, you have not shown with proof how many Nigerian family (husband plus wife) makes over 150k USD per annum. The data you referenced is relevant to a 3-member household - a father, a mum and a child. You need to consider that too. In IT, if you are skilled, a single individual actually makes over 120 USD per annum but how many people fall into that class. Yes there are professionals making money. I am not arguing that but holistically speaking how many people make it? I am not discouraging anyone - either you go abroad or not, it does not affect me in anyway. I am only saying, evaluate your current situation carefully and make an INFORMED decision. How does that translate to discouraging people? If you accuse me of discouraging others, I will accuse you of over exaggeration. |
Henryfocoyo:So correct! ![]() |
Love800:Your "work hard" is mostly slaving. A second hand citizen in a foreign land. Whatever you enjoy over there, I provide for myself in Nigeria at a relatively cheaper cost. And I am still relevant over there. Stop talking down your own country, it is a form of insanity. |
Love800:You are correct on good/working environment. The same "social amenities" you came online to cry over; same things that you say make you live below poverty line due to how much you pay for bills. Are there not people living in darkness due to the fact that they cannot afford electricity bills? Are there no more homeless in your "paradise" ? Are there not poor people who live on handouts ? Are there not unemployment? I will expect your new "paradise" will be absolutely perfect. And let me let you know, I enjoy the two worlds. The foreign passports that you are chasing, I have 2 in different western countries; these are countries you will kill for to obtain just 1. That wont stop me from telling others the reality. Abroad is a step up for some and step down for some. Evaluate and choose carefully is all I preach here. So, Rich boy, what have you accomplished in all your waka waka across the world? And are you saying all western countries are safer than Nigeria, US especially comes to mind. |
Primate Ayodele, always seeing shits as vision |
Why are they sensationalising this issue. See how Reps have turned it to drama. Why are they going to the Prison? Naturally, that place they are visiting should be homes to most of them. Set of irresponsible people. If average Nigerians have been accused of the same thing Bobrisky was accused, such person would be back in prison. Would Rep visit the prison because of one Musa, selling orange in Kano State or one Emeka in Ebonyi or Wale in Ekiti?. One set of rule for the poor while another set of rule exists for the rich. |

what even is not happening in Togo , could you imagine that Togolese enjoy more electricity than Lagos state and Nigeria GRAs
.
better wakeup from ur daydreaming. This is real stuff. If Israel hit Iran, Israel will be leveled. There is no time to think. The attack will happen at the same time Israel is attacking. Forgot ur theory, it’s a LIE
