nattyhero: Say what you know, I know elections anywhere in the world is 100% free and fair. But the 1993 elections in Nigeria is the best I can think can of. Two Muslim candidates one from the South one from the north. Abiola had a landslide Victory. Moreover option A4 was used. The voters vere counted on the queue as per head count. No Wayo The so-called option A4 was easy to rig and it was rigged fantastically. Trust a typical naija man - when counting those on the queue instead of 1,2,3,4...... , the counting was 1,2, 39, 49, 60...!!! This was the election they're saying was most free and fair. It wasn't. |

By the way, there is nothing like "we all know", who are the we? Every election since independence has been characterized by massive irregularities. |

Who remember June 12, 1993!
June 1993 was the only day we had free and fair election in Nigeria!
Politics has been so dirty and brutal from time immemorial! According to SW press June 1993 election was the freest election in nigeria. But we all know that's a lie - that election was as rigged as other elections. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Ugandan Pastor Burns Thousands Of Bibles For Misleading His Members (Photos) by mu2sa2: 10:26am On Apr 21, 2017 |
HungerBAD: Wow.
He ordered thousands of Bibles to be burnt?Christianity is indeed a very tolerant religion.
If he had ordered that a "Crayon" should be used to write something on top of the Quran, the Country as a wbole would have been burning, and there will be a World wide Protests from Nigeria to the UK,And from Yemen to Pakistan.
But again,I do not blame him. I blame the 15,000 people that this Pastor hoodwinks every Sunday.
And while he is busy burning Bibles,Why don't he also help us write one? Since he is not pleased with the ones around. Why bring Quran in where a pastor is talking manipulations of the bible?Muslims believe the Quran is the exact Word of God, so no one has the liberty to change even an alphabet in the Quran. That's why there will never be a revised or new or standard or king's version of the Quran. |

BetaThings: Excellent explanation, let me jut add a few words
History - how have Nigerians used cars in the past? can that teach us something for our design approach Culture - do Nigerians take time to study and comply with manuals, do they work their cars nearly to death everyday? or do they treat them with extreme care? With they service them on time or will they delay? do they use them for special occasions and take trains mostly? Do they work parts into them or buy new parts from dealers? do we need to design into the Nigerian car sufficient redundancies and features to reflect or modify such behaviour? environment - temperature, nature of road, dust Economic structure - income level structure - many low income or many middle class First-class explanation. If buygala still doesn't understand "history and culture" in car design, let him go back to jss1 and start secondary school all over. Jelani Aliyu knows what he is talking about for a semi-illiterate to come and be ranting gibberish on nairaland all in a futile attempt to rubbish him. |

Even if the rolls Royce was a gift emir sanusi should not be using such a car that's associated with opulence in a poverty-wracked region. Sls gives the impression that he is riled by the level of poverty in the north, yet he "oppresses" the poor people there by his outlandish display of wealth. What an HYPOCRITE! |

Health › Re: What Makes You Believe That You Are Fertile? See This by mu2sa2: 8:32am On Apr 11, 2017 |
Godswillnwaoma: fertility in men does not drop after 40yrs, a man can pregnant a woman ever after 70 yrs. He says fertility drops, not that men over the age of 40 are infertile. I understand that only a single sperm cell is required to fertilize an ovum. So in theory even if a man produces only one viable sperm cell in a discharge he is still fertile, but in reality to have a chance in impregating a woman you must produce viable sperm cell in several millions. A 70- year old may infact be more fertile than a 30-year old. |

Winna01: He'll probably end up being a lecturer and achieve nothing. Please he should do something better when he's older. Believe me, we have a long way to go in this country with people thinking like this. What do you mean by he will achieve nothing as a lecturer? Being a lecturer itself is an achievement. At just 14 this boy is a world-acclaimed genius - he has already achieved a great deal, infact, if you don't know. And he will achieve more even if he chooses to remain in the academics - for he will be grooming people to take on responsibilities in society. Maybe you're thinking atypical Nigerian who sees "achievement " only in terms of material acquisitions, even if ill-gotten (like thieving politicians, pastorenuers, yahoo-yahoo boys). |
