That 's a good option. You can connect gotv or any startimes decorder, any tv or fan with 12 volt dc power inlet to it permanently 24/7 without ever using Phcn or petrol/diesel generator.

The mtn mobile electricity solar system is reliable and affordable. I use it as alternative to petrol generator. The system costs about 270k but after paying the commitment fee of 15k you have the option to spread the balance over up to 1500 days i.e @4.5k monthly (If you can afford it you pay up at once and that's it you are owner, no subscription). I don't regard this as cheating for a system that consists of a 80-watt solar panel, inverter, 10 metre cable, two long-lasting bulbs, universal phone charger. I was sceptical initially but after acquiring one I regret not buying it earlier during promo when it was sold with a solar-power only standing fan as bonus. I use it basically to charge phone, power a 24-inch tv (which has a 12 volt Dc power inlet) as well as gotv/startimes decoders and for lighting (I will soon add their standing fan). For 24/7 all these gadgets are powered for just 4.5k a month (note that subscription stops when it adds up to the cost of hardware). To me this is not cheating and is preferable to generator that you spend far more on. The system is secure as it can only be recharged using the mtn number linked to it - so it is useless stealing it (even the solar panel won't work if transferred to another system).

So these people are ritualists and not what they claim they are?

Kwara State lists Owu Falls as one of the state's tourist site. But the useless people that have been ruling the state have refused to develop the site. Imagine, there is no road to the place, not to talk of hotels.Even if the military governors overlooked the site, I wonder why civilian governors since 1999 have failed to see the revenue potential of the beautiful site.

Having traveled across some of these states in the last one year and some even most recently I think these are just brandies figures from hell! Where are the millions? Haha!
I've never believed in the population figure of Nigeria because honestly, its full of unverifiable figures. As at the year I was at katsina state cross crossing the state I didn't see where over 4million people stated by NPC were. Apart from Lagos which resident population(excluding those that just come to trade or come to work from nearby Ogun State) may be around 13-15 million why Ogun state should be over 6million considering the huge number of residents that actually do business in Lagos state.

I was still in kano un the last three weeks, taken that the north has more rural dwellers but its hard to believe and in fact, that of Kaduna, Bauchi Jigawa and katsina are completely false!!!!
I think if true population of Nigeria is to be determined by accurate census or registration, the top five will most likely look like this:
1. Lagos
2. Ogun
3. Kano
4. Oyo
5. FCT
Like I've said it in other forums, I still find it hard to believe that resident population of Kano can be greater than that of Oyo state but I can admit a huge population do come to buy and sell.The one I know is growing so fast is the FCT and alot of people and businesses have relocated to the FCT from the interior of northern Nigeria so you can expect Niger and Nasarawa aroud the FCT to grow.

The telecoms active voice calls in each state we must admit is an indication of high business activities which can form critical part in understanding the population and to a large extent determine residential population for non business calls but someone can argue, what about poverty index, the ownership of cell phones can help more, school enrollment, birth registrations and other positive statistics not rolling out rogue figures!

Believe it or not, census in Nigeria is a ruse. Ask anyone who has participated as an official in past censuses and if s/he is an honest person s/he will tell how they were asked to pad the figures. This happened across the country. Since states' share from the federation account is based largely on population, states know that either you cheat or you are cheated out! Official population figures include the fictitious names.

The Islamic approach makes alot more sense because DNA test itself is not foolproof and can even be manipulated. I understand that under sharia law if a wife gives birth after six months of marriage paternity of the the child is attributed to the husband. Even in this present case the DNA result shows 1% chance that the man is the father. The young man could be in this 1% and so even science cannot be relied upon to resolve paternity dispute 100%. The man should accept the young man and move on with the rest of his life.

For those saying young people should take over, what have you to say? Bello is the youngest governor. He is earmarking a staggering 8 billion naira for himself as security vote and 350 million for first lady (for a man parading 4 wives, who is first lady? ). For those who don't know, security vote is separate from recurrent and capital budget of govt house and is not retired (accounted for) - basically, Bello has 8,000,000,000 naira to play with in 2017 alone. Sadly, civil servants in the state are being owed salaries, for some it's up to 13 (yes, 10 + 3) months. Yet Bello keeps subjecting these poor, starving souls to endless rounds of so-called screening. When husband and wife are both civil servants it means they and their children are in serious situation.May the Almighty save kogi from wicked, irresponsible leaders. Incidentally, Dino melaye's boss, Bukola Saraki, did the same thing, even worse, as Bello when he held sway in kwara state as governor from May 2003 to May 2011-up to this day nobody can say how much he carted away from the treasury.

I know somebody who brought the same type of phone from US and wasn't able to use it with a Nigerian Sim. I understand the phone was locked on a US network and that the only way it can be used outside US was to have informed the service provider while in US to unlock it for use outside US. You cannot request for this service if the phone is not active on the network. Since the owner is in Nigeria now, the phone has remained useless.

Good that a hausa/fulani Muslim northerner is out to save a business outfit owned largely by southern Christians. Regionalists, tribal bigots, religious extremists, terrorists (aka militants) should learn a lesson or two from this.
