Education › Is JAMB Registration Efacility/portal Broken? by mubarak89(op): 6:51am On Apr 27, 2021 |
Many people I know have been trying to register for JAMB 2021 but the process has been quite challenging. Many have gotten the 10 digit Confirmation Code needed to complete their profiles however, on entering the 10-digit code, they are presented with a form requiring them to fill in their personal details. BUT after filling the form and clicking on the submit button (Sign up button) they get this error message:
We are sorry The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or had processing error or is temporarily unavailable.
This seems like a technical issue. It appears someone change the URL of the page that handles the page submission.
Perhaps I am wrong. But this is an issue JAMB needs to resolve ASAP.

AngelicBeing: Lol at official prices, it is high time Buhari should constitute a secret squad of plain EFCC / DSS / NIA officials, deploy them to passport offices nationwide, let them pose as if they want to do Nigeria passport with marked money directly from the federal government and use it to nab all the various armed robbers aka immigration officials nationwide.
The rot and corruption in the immigration services smells like ogbono soup loaded with Kpomo, ogunfe, bokoto to the 7th heavens, those arrested should be flogged out of office with koboko laden with chilly pepper, nonsense thieves called Nigeria immigration extorting Nigerians via egunje ALL immigration officers will be arrested then. It is not as if only some of them are doing the "runs" na all of them |

Education › Dear Student: 2 Things That Are More Important Than The Certificate You Will Get by mubarak89(op): 8:35am On Oct 06, 2017 |
In the past, the certificates students get at the end of their academic programmes were all that was needed to secure great jobs and enjoy blissful careers. Now, all that has changed. The certificate you'll get after you graduate will still be very important especially in Nigeria however, there are 2 other things that have proven to be more important. This means that even if you graduate with good grades/certificate but have none of these 2 things, finding a good job and pursuing your dream career can become very difficult. What are these 2 things? #1. 'Connection' #2. Skill #1. ConnectionIn Nigeria when we say 'connection' (in the context of our discussion) we’re referring to a person’s network. The group of caring, dedicated people (friends, colleagues, mentors, family, etc.) who can support someone’s activities. As someone rightly said: "Your network determines your net worth". In present day Nigeria, you need certain level of connections to efficiently pursue your career or even get employment. But the misconception by most us is that having and making use of ‘connections’ to achieve one’s goals is wrong or immoral. But that is far from the truth. There’s nothing wrong with having 'connections'. So, stop complaining and start making connections. The key point is this: Build & make connections while still in school; you’ll find them useful after you graduate. #2. SkillThe importance of skill cannot be overemphasized. Your connections plus certificate can get you a job but it is the skill you’ve got that will keep you in the job. Management always easily spot those without skill and when there’s need for retrenchment, the unskilled folks are the first to be fingered especially when the 'connection' that got them in is retired or out of the system. Are there other things you think are more important than the certificate a student will get? You can add to the list in the comment section. Source: http://graduatewell.com.ng/dose/9 |

If you are one of the many Nigerian students who are quite uncertain of the future, if the stories about the rate of unemployment in Nigeria makes you jittery and causes you to worry about 'life after school'. If you are a little bit afraid of what the future holds because you’ve got no connections or because you don’t have a rich uncle who can fix you up after you graduate, then you need to pay attention. I used to be in such position only a few years ago but it changed after I realized what I needed to do. That which I realized and did is what I am asking you to do too; it will help you a great deal: #1. Believe you will make itThis might sound cliché but it is indeed the first step to overcoming any fears. To believe means to build a mindset that says “my situation will be different despite the odds”. Believe that success is possible for you because it has been possible for a good number of persons who were even more disadvantaged than you are. When you believe, your mindset will change from that of a victim and a looser to that of a winner. It will turn you to a positive and optimistic person. That’s what you need to start with. #2. Ensure you graduate wellThis is the most important thing you need to do. Make sure you graduate well. Make sure you go through school and finish well. This is all you need. It is the key. Believing that all will be well is not enough; you need to finish school well. Asides believing you can make it, you need to take certain steps, do certain things, act in some ways, and in fact, you might need to change certain attitudes, develop some habits, change your friends or even make new ones, and so on. You need to start taking actions that will ensure you graduate well. ############## Source: http://graduatewell.com.ng/dose/1 |
Education › Happy Independence Day To All Nigerian Students: Let’s Play by mubarak89(op): 4:47am On Oct 01, 2017*. Modified: 6:00am On Oct 01, 2017 |
Yay!! Happy Independence Day to all Nigerian students across the globe. Let’s play a fun game in celebration of Nigeria’s 57th Independence.
Before we start playing, let me say something…
Virtually all students blame the Nigerian government for the wrongness in the education sector especially in tertiary institutions. The strikes, the always-choked and cramped lecture halls, our bad hostels, etc.
But today I want us to put the blames aside and try to proffer solutions.
Now, this is the question:
What will you do for Nigerian students if given the chance to become Nigeria’s president?
For me, this is what I’ll do:
I’ll set aside a national day for Nigerian students in tertiary institutions around the world. I’ll call that particular day, "Nigerian Students’ Day". On that day, I’ll visit a good number of tertiary institutions to interact directly with students to know their challenges first-hand.
So, here’s the question again:
What will you do for Nigerian students if given the chance to become Nigeria’s president?
Let us know what you’ll do. Drop your comments. Copied (but slightly modified) from: http://graduatewell.com.ng/dose/4 |

SConnect: Both extensions are okay, it all depends on the audience you intend to serve.
If Nigeria, then go with .com.ng
If Worldwide, then go with .com
Hope this helps!
