Fast forward...

I could not make it on vals day because my worker call in sick the previous day.

As a sport betting agent sundays is one of our eke market days and that particular one features football titans like Arsenal-Leicester and man city- tottenham.

She was not happy about the development but have to keep calm after i recharged her phone then promised to visit her feb.22nd come rain come sun.

Our plan is, she will wait for me at AAU school gate then we lodge at a good hotel because she lives in the student hostel.

I was ready for the adventure that beautiful sunday. I have to fashy my business for that day because of love.

11a.m, i called and told her i am on my way. She was very happy and gave me every description possible. I packaged her val gift then storm the bus park.

Due to the fuel scarcity the price of transportation was inflated that i had to spend 2k from warri to ekpoma. All through the journey we spoke endlessly on the phone just to intimate her on my proximity to her school.

So finally i got to her school gate around 5.40 pm. I called and called but her phone was switched off. I had to tell a bike man to take me to any nearby hotel.

After i booked for a room of 5k per night i dailed her digit. Lo and behold, it rang. The holy problem was she did not pick even when i might have given her up to 50 missed calls.

So i had to send her an sms to meet me up at the hotel i lodged. Five minute later, i called and she finally picked...the following conversation ensued..
me: babyyy were did leave your phone? did you see my massage?

she: yes, i actually change my mind.

me: change your mind on what? what do you mean?

she: i can't come out from my hostel to meet you up because i have a class by 8am tomorrow.

me: wtf are you talking about baby? okay come to your school gate let me atleast see you if you don't want to spend the night out.

she: i really don't want to come out from my hostel . then she hang up on me.

I called again, told her the risk i took and the bridge i crossed just to see her but she choose to stay in her hostel. she hang up before i finish talking.

To embrace reality, i slugishedly walked to the bar section of the hotel. I order for two bottle of harp which cost me a thausand buss. After i finished one bottle of the beer i try calling again to atleast plead more because i love her but her phone was switched off.

I waited hoping she may change her mind but my hope was shredded. So the next morning i deleted her number and gave all the gift i bought for her to the receptionist as i checked out the hotel.

friends sorry for this long story. why did she allow me to take the trip when she plan not to see me? i could have spent the almost 20k i wasted in tp,gift,drinks and hotel to bleep one olusho here and still have enough cash to play around with. i was in love though.

I met this Benin babe April 2014 in ughelli . I travelled to see my brother as she was there for a visit too. omo, this babe package die..As a single sharp guy, i approached and made my feelings known to her.

After some initial gra gra she said yes and i felt like someone that just won nairabet.

We did alot of romance and getting to know more about each other before she traveled.

So since then our relationship is through the phone. We could talk for hours over the phone because i never want distance to be a barrier.

December last year, she promised to visit me for xmas. I was happy that i had to send her t-fare plus extra 5k to get herself something special.

She didn't show up but gave some silly excuse. I was not angry because i was in love. She suggested i visit her in school(oh i forgot to tell you she is a 300l AAU student) for valentine this year. brb

Thanks. She should have approach me privately when am calm to advise me on my anger not in front of the other worker. If i don't do anything about this,other workers may copy her rudeness.

Hey pals, if you have read my previous post https://www.nairaland.com/2738913/love-employee you will remember i was crushing on one of my female worker.

After i hastily made my intentions known to her, I was given those kind of funny attitude ladies display when not interested.

On a one on one discussion, she said she will not date me for two reasons. 1. because i am her boss and 2. because she has a boyfriend.

Okay, i totally respect her decision but i realized her attitude changed. She sometimes arrives late to work, flirt with my costumers to make me jealous. The final straw that broke the camel back is when i was scolding my other worker for her mistakes and complains am getting from my customers about her.

What i heard was this my employee i had crush on saying to me with boldness that i dont have to talk to her that way. I was shocked to my bone marrow that i ordered her to keep quit and leave my presence.

After i got home, i could not stop thinking about her rude bahaviour. I almost payed her off today but the sympathetic me decide to keep her till month end.

Pls friends , what do u think about my intended plan?

Times without numbers you hear people say why not just start something even if its small and nurture it to become an empire over time.

Honestly, it really good when you become your own boss but truth is, there are some enormous challenges every start-up encounters that you are probably not aware of.

These challenges if not properly tackled may most times bring your business to an abrupt end within the shortest possible time. The bitter truth is that running a business is not that easy as we are made to believe.. Its require skills, dedication and perseverance to it succeed.

You may encounter financial problem inform of trying to pay for rent and registrations. The local government will storm your business premises for revenue, you will pay levy for your banner and sign post, security bill, nepa bill and some others too numerous to mention.

Please am not trying to discourage anybody here from venturing into their business but am just trying to make you aware that the entrepreneurial story is not always rosy.There are challenges and need to be determine and patience to grow.

Kudos to the young entrepreneurs in the house.

Hey friends, please forgive me for i have sinned.lol

Honestly i should have keep the house updated on current situation between my employee i was crushing on but fail to do so.

No more cause for alarm, i am here to keep you updated but first of all i want to dedicate and give kudos to a gallant NLder "internetpo", for drawing my attention to this.

Okay, after the other night i read all the bashing cum suggestions and advised, i went straight to the woman selling drinks in my juncture.

I order for two bottle of star lagger beer. As i was drinking i keep wondering who invented the phrase."don't poo were you eat". I ponder on why should it be a crime for me to be in love with my employee.

As my alcoholic filled brain could not help unravel the misery, i staggered to my bed and slept off.

The next morning i woke, i was full of energy and was in happy mood because there was no single winnings in my shop.

So by the time i got to work my two employee were already there putting one or two things together. I called on the one i was crushing on and told her she will have to go and work in my new boring office (ya. it boring because since on the first of this month i opened it, it has not turnover up to 5k and i may close it up by month end if the patronage did not increase).

She hurriedly left and i must confess, i felt relaxed. latter in the day i noticed my heart, thought was all about her. So i have to find the courage to visit her.

Within ten minute, i am already in my new office. As expected no customer around. She was watching Nigerian home movie with my laptop. Due to the hot whether coupled with the burning flame of love in my heart, i sent her to get me a bottle of coke plus one for herself but she said no thank you boss.

After i finished drinking my coke , i noticed my heart was still beating fast as she continue with her nollywood movie. I called to her and said,
me: i am sorry
she: sorry for what?
me: for the stress i put you through, for everything i told you
she: it's okay
me: yeah i'm realy sorry, i have forgotten everything.
she: okay no problem boss
me: All i want from you is to be committed to your duty like you always do to avoid my wrath.
she: yes sir.

I noticed after that conversation she is now freer and share jokes with me. Although my heart still skip a beat for her, i will keep to business ethics and look for love somewhere else.

Honestly, i have learnt many things which has lighten the burden of love in my heart.

OP, the best way to ruin your business is to combine it with pleasure. There must be discipline among workers including MD for business to grow.

Find a way to kill/stifle the feelings you have towards her. She is not the only girl in the world. For the fact you have told her and she has refused to say yes to your proposal is enough for you to understand that she has come to work and earn a living - not to open her legs for her boss. Please respect that as a gentleman you called yourself and move on.

I am glad you don't do ashawos...look for decent girls around you and ask them out....i believe they abound. Do not ruin her contribution to the growth of your business because of some useless feelings. Your biz must be your priority and you must also learn to cross the line between pleasure and business, not combine them.
