Please note that autistic children who are enrolled in a mainstream school are taught using same curriculum with other students. However, the teaching methods require differentiation or adapted programs in order to accommodate their needs.

Further, you must understand that autism is a spectrum disorder. Therefore you need to understand if a child is high functioning or at the lower end of the spectrum before a program is structured for him or her.

Sorry for disturbing you again. Please can you explain high and low functioning in ASD. There are lots of contradicting explanations online. Thanks

I am not aware of any organization in Nigeria that provides formal training on teaching ASD children. However, you can search for online training. Also, if you are teaching in a school that has subscription with British council, you may have opportunity to enroll for some online programs.

Thanks so much. I have done the 101 online course. I'll search for more online. Thanks for your time.

Thank God you are doing good.
I was concerned when i read where you said you take some things to help you to be calm. Please you don't need to add drug addiction to your problem! please!!!!!
Just google some other things you can do, that will help you to be in charge of your thoughts.
My son is doing good.
Now he thinks out. ie talking to himself about things discussed earlier or some imaginations on his head.
I have noticed that he will be a great artist, like painting, because, he sometimes tries to draw out of his imagination. He is still over active.
In everything God is in control!
I wish you the best in life!

That could be hydrocele. I noticed it on my first son few weeks after birth. I reported it to his pead who directed us to a pead surgeon. He advised that we wait it out for 18months that it may correct on its own as some do. He advised that we come for check up from time to time. It didn't correct, so they performed a minor surgery and corrected it. We were discharged the same day and he started school the following morning. He's four now.
Google Hydrocele

About the Simas, I was told to change in here, on this platform when I listed out my baking ingredients. I don't really know, but after changing to Napa, the cake became more fluffy and began to taste more delicious.
In terms of profitability, I bake 50naira and sell at 43.2 Naira to market women and stores. The concession I give out cuts into my profit because I do not sell to final consumers; so for now little profit. But seems I'm looking to conquer at least half of the L.G.A. I'd have to be patient till my product has fully penetrated the market and demand is on the high side. However, you could sell to final consumers and get profit. for example if I bake 5,000 Naira worth I get 2,200 after deducting costs. Profit in cake business though comes from your rate of turn-over; how much can you sell in a day? This will greatly determine how much money you rake in. And lastly, if you think the locals in your vicinity can afford 100Naira, Please bake 100Naira and sell. The size difference between 50 and 100naira is very little. Above all, just bake delicious cakes and don't compromise quality for gains, people will give you lot of calls when they ascertain the quality of your cakes.
Thanks so so much. I appreciate!
the profit is OK.
Please how long can the cake stay before it goes bad?
please can you upload a sample of yours?
If you can share your recipe, I will so much appreciate.
Thanks so much for making out time to reply.
May God bless your handiwork!

hey. I've not gotten the scale. I continued my production regardless, however, I changed my butter from Simas to Napa butter and the result was awesome. I will get a sample of my package and upload it in a bit. Wishing you all the best.

Thanks for replying.
Please why did you change your butter ?
How profitable is this business?
Please mention me when you upload it.
I wish success!

OK, I heard batch B will be writing on September and people are still registering for it, the thing here is I don't know how to register individually, you have to browse it out. About Montessori and others, I'm not really sure about those ones but I don't mind adding it to my CV just in case I go into teaching profession in future, for now I'm considering office work in a company, all depends the job I get first.
OK Sis thanks.
I have actually googled it but couldn't get any meaningful information. I will ask around

I'm in category C which is bsc.ed, so the price for category C is 6k if you register on your own but if you do it in a university, you will pay more, I paid 15k 'cause I registered it in the school I graduated from, after the registration, they sent us a text and we went to the school ICT center to write the PQEI.

The question borders on many things, a staff told me the higher your category, the harder the questions, it was 60questions for 40minutes, if you don't finish before then, your computer will shut down and you won't be able to submit your answers.

We were asked many questions on Educational technology, education management and supervision, measurement and evaluation, classroom management, research methodology, educational psychology, guidance and counseling, sociology of education, philosophy of education, micro-teaching, two questions on mathematics involving mean, median and mode, the other is Zscore, one question in English and also questions on history(Socrates, plato, Aristotle quotes, names of founders, Nigeria political history concerning education).

The exam guide we studied helped to an extent, The TRCN exam guide is sold for N1500.

You need to read a lot for this exam, the reason why I did well was 'cause I am a fresh graduate and I still remember what I was taught, its not easy if you don't study hard or you have graduated for a long time.

Thanks so much Sis.
I would prefer to register on my own. I have B.A.ed, graduated eight years ago and want to go into teaching now. I have started applying and I need to get all the qualifications I can.
I will need the hand out though.
Please how can I register on my own?
How can I get Montessori qualification?
Also, this jolly phonics training?
This British curriculum?
Thanks a lot Sis.
Please, I need explanations from everyone who has gone through these.

Okay. Now I understand.
My target is one of the big schools in my area, but am afraid they may not hire me because I lack
experience. I can even agree to settle for as TA for a short while to gain experience if the pay is good.
What do you think? Are you teaching too?

Why go from secondary to nursery or lower primary? Isn't that a kind of demotion?

Am married now with little kids, there are lots of things am considering.
Also, I want to experience all the levels of teaching as I may invest in education in the future.
