@maureensylvia, why do u want to increase baby's weight? What was the weight at ur last scan? Babies put on a lot of weight in third tri o.my last baby weigh 1.5kg at 30weeks and was 4.1kg at 40weeks.birth

@ iyabetajos, kids are great oo.avoid stress this time and don't miss ur antenatal. Contnue in your place of prayer as advised too.

@xmrpx, I experienced it with my soon to be five year old boy from abt a year three months when he stopped breastfeeding and other foods were introduced to him. He throws up anytime we force him to eat.I resigned to mopping the floor every morning after breakfast cos he will always throw up.
It eventually stopped when we stopped forcing him to eat. I encourage him to eat what he likes like bread aand tea,fried egg and dodo like zaynie said. sometimes,putting his fav cartoon while he eat makes him relaxed and he eats more.he likes fruits too so I indulge him.I reward him when he finishes any meal I give him apart from his favourites.he is still not eating as much as I want but we are getting there. Beating is not the solution cos u will beat and get tired.
U can also change his milk to complan so he gets all needed nutrients.my boy is still skinny for his age but healthy.
U can also get him checked out by a doctor as suggested.we did for my son and nothing was found wrong with him.my mum told me I was a picky eater and skinny too when I was little so it may also be a gene issue too.
Sorry for the epistle, I know how frustrating it can be! Goodluck!

P.s, he has a fat best friend who intimidates him with his weight sometimes.so we always tell him harry is big and fat cos he always finish his food.so sometimes when he finshes his food, he will say, 'I will be fat like harry'

Hello ladies, pls I need your opinion on potty trainning my 22 month old.she doesn't want to wear pampers anymore and won't sit on a potty to wee.she is used to seeing her elder brother standing while using the loo so she won't bend or sit to go.
I trained the brother with potty from 8 months likewise her, the brother adjusted well during his time but my small madam does not want to tow the line.
I am in a dillema now.your opinions will be appreciated.

@pickabeau1, the restrictions were just temporary.if in the long run she shows she is a good girl,i will then give her 100% freedom. i am personally a security conscious person and i am afraid for my little kids. and the pay was ok.my husband even asked if money was the problem but he said no. we had already bought clothes for her, i even took her to see a doctor when she complained of an illness within that one week.

@rukemi,i dont think you need to see the mother. i am sure ur colleague who linked u is aware of all you have done to help. just let it go and pray about the next one you will get.

thank GOD it was not more than this oo. just keep doing good.
in this economy, two hands on deck are not even enough to run a home comfortably so househelps are necessary.
if you eventually get another househelp, check her bags thoroughly before admitting them into your house.when and if u give her a phone for communication sake, ring it in her ears that the only number you want to see on it is ur husband's and yours.
when you buy airtime on it, buy only 100 naira card and tell her its just to flash you and u will call her back. always monitor the phone.
the truth is that no matter how nice you can be to anybody, they can still betray you. it does not only apply to househelps even family members.

i got an househelp recently, on checking her bag the first time she got to my house, she had a very long list of phone numbers.i asked where she got the numbers frto om, she said they are her friends. she even had a sim card but no phone. i told her i will give her a phone and another sim just for communication sake. i wanted to watch her for 2 weeks before giving her the phone. after one week, the agent that brought her came and said they want to take her back.that her family wants her. he brought my money back and took her back immediately. they even left her bag behind in the rush to leave with her.
my own assumption is this; she could have been sent to be an informant but my close monitoring did not allow her have access to a phone to call her ' friends'.
she might have come to my house with somethng else in mind.

the reason for my epistle is for other people to learn from it.one has to be security conscious.

@ozycy, i saw the baby with my eyes oo, very tiny! the doctor didnt even allow her to enter full term cos they 'assumed' the baby was already big at 8months.the mother is on the big side and she told me the doc didnt even check foetal weight with scan.he only measured her stomach with tape.
tried convincing her to get a second opinion but since am no doctor, i was kept in the dark till delivery was done.
thank GOD the baby is a fighter.

if u are feeling depressed or angry over TTC, thats when u need to turn to GOD most.i know how it feels cos i have been there, but GOD will never leave u or forsake u.
there is nothing that has a beginning that doesnt have an end.TTC will definitely be history in your lives in jesus name.

@zaynie, love your stance on trying the vbac route.and i appreciate GOD for u.
a dear friend wanted vbac but the doctors kept pushing her for cs, their reason being that her firstborn was 4.5kg and the next baby will be bigger even tho he was born over 4 years ago. she was full of fear and in the long run they did cs for her.her baby weigh 1.9kg. she was not happy cos she felt she should have been able to push her out.but in all things we thank GOD.

the most important thing is,mother alive, baby alive, dh alive, plenty money#.
