PoliticsSay No To Injustice, Boycott Them Now!! by MummyIMadeIt(op): 7:28am On Jan 22, 2018
Dear friends, there's a very important piece of history I'll like to share with you which concerns you.

On December 1, 1955, a middle-aged "negro woman" in America, Mrs. Rosa Parks, refused to stand up for a young white man who just entered the segregated bus she was ridding in. If she did, she would have had to stand all through the journey.

At that time, the bus is segregated in most parts of America: white people sit in front rows and black people sit from the back. Blacks would normally pay fare to the driver in the front, then step out of the bus and go through the back door to find a place in an already tight area at the back. If the allocated spaces for blacks are filled, all other blacks joining the bus would have to stand even when the more than half of the bus spaces reserved for whites are empty! Such was the injustice and humiliation that black Americans faced then.

For refusing to stand up for the young white man, Mrs Rosa Parks was immediately arrested, scheduled for prosecution on Monday December 5. Then the Rev. Martins Luther King and his NAACP comrades stepped in. They called out the people. They spoke about the sad realities of their existence, the terror of an unjust system and barbaric treatments in the hands of fellow Americans.

In addition to speaking out, these Black Americans decided to take action to protest that injustice by boycotting the segregated buses. The boycott began December 6, 1955.

Dear friends, here is the crux of the matter: Black Americans took action! For 1 year and 16 days, *they trekked to and from work or boarded improvised pooled taxes, everyday*, until the US supreme courts declared segregation unconstitutional!

During the struggle, someone offered one tired black woman a lift in his pool car, but she declined, saying, *"l ain't trekking for myself, but for my children and grandchildren "*!

So, dear friends, whenever we don’t take action and we feel unobligated, unconcerned,* we should simply remember the black Americans and those women. Without them, the freedom that US enjoys today wouldn't have happened, or happened too late.
Obama may not have become the President of US.

So, the questions before all of us now are: Are we slaves to the Fulani people? Are you ready to trek for yourself and your generation yet unborn as the black Americans did? Are we willing to do our own little bits for the cause of good governance and security of our people? Are we ready to act? If today, it is Benue, Kaduna, Taraba, Enugu, etc, which state or community is next? We have complained and grumbled enough. Now is the time to take action.

Dear friends, there's a general consensus that with effect from February 2018, there should be a total boycott of Fulani cow meat, including suya, kanda (skin), etc. We should discipline our appetite and make this sacrifice now to put an end to the killing of farmers because of cows.

We can get protein from chicken, goat meat, fish, pork, etc. How can we continue to patronise their business and then they turn around to kill our people and destroy our communities? Enough is enough.

Pls spread this information to people around you. Thank you. God bless you.

FEBRUARY 1ST, 2018 is commencement date please. Let's keep it a date.

Please spread the news to ALL your contacts.

you made a point and you are entitle to your opinions but dnt be haste to judge and conclude on hear say things about the npower programme..I may not be their spokesman but working with the npower team shades more light...
everything here follows due process...the scheme is a 2 year programme and each batches, 2016 and 2017 will complete their terms or 24 months....thank God you said gov't is a continuous process...
a final list is still being compile, this is to ascertain what each applicant presented during the verification exercise...we have to check for age falsification, ur original qualifications and educational status....we have to ascertain if we trually selected someone who is unemployed, alot is happening and I want to assure you that the programme has and will never be hijack by any group or politicians...soon you will get to hear from us...just continue to tune in to our various social media handle and you will be informed more....thanks

Thanks for your adequate response, yet I am perturbed on the aspect of longevity of this program, because you made it clear that it ought to be a 24 month program unlike the 20month program I thought it was; actually we have from February till may next year as the feasible lifespan of the program.

Hence I beg your answer to what would happen to the the time frame lost pending the possibility of a continuum in government.

If para adventure the final list is released before February, when would we start getting payment, and if it goes by the normal payroll, what would happen to the months lost last year when the program should have kick started, because I believe that such provisions have been made available before the inception of n-power 2017.

The current CHAN technical crew including the coach are just bunch of disappointments; why would you go to a competition with almost 12 defenders, 4midfielders, and 6 attackers......

What was he thinking, and to say the least he dropped the most creative playmaker of the NPL 2017 season for bunh of defenders...

I think it's high team we employ a foreign coach to handle our CHAN team as corruption is the order of the day in selecting players...

SportsFrench Referee Banned For Kicking Player by MummyIMadeIt(op): 8:30pm On Jan 15, 2018
French football authorities have banned referee Tony Chapron "until further notice" after a bizarre incident in a match on Sunday. Chapron aimed a kick at a Nantes player in their match against Paris Saint-Germain.

With the game in injury time and his side 1-0 down to runaway league leaders PSG, Nantes' defender Diego Carlos was dutifully tracking back as Kylian Mbappe hared towards goal.

With the focus on the young French striker, fans and those watching on TV were shocked to see Carlos, some way behind play, shown a second yellow card and dismissed. But replays showed that the Brazilian had collided with referee Tony Chapron, who cut across his path. As the official rolled across the turf he swung a leg at Carlos, catching him before rising to give the defender his marching orders.

The French Football Federation (FFF) said Chapron, 45, would be "withdrawn... until further notice" and would be called to appear before the French league's disciplinary commission. The federation said Chapron has now accepted the contact with Carlos was accidental and the second booking has been rescinded.

"At the time of the collision, I felt a sharp pain where I had recently suffered an injury," Chapron told AFP on Monday. "My unfortunate reaction was to stick my leg out towards the player."

The bizarre nature of the incident saw it spread rapidly on social media, with even former Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas cracking a joke at Chapron's expense: "Surely the good man will have apologised. It was spontaneous," he wrote on Twitter. "That said, for me it's agression and red! Three matches minimum!"

As it turns out, Chapron's ban could be much longer, especially if Nantes midfielder Valentin Ronigier has his way.

"He says he slipped, but I know he kicked him," Rongier told French TV station Canal Plus. "I know it's very difficult to referee but you have to question them from time to time... We do that, we get a 10-match ban."

Chapron will definitely miss Wednesday's Ligue 1 game between Angers and Troyes, which he was slated to take charge of.

Jobs/VacanciesIs Npower 2017 A Fraud? by MummyIMadeIt(op):
Before I start with my so many questions that have since plagued my reasoning about the hope for the common man in this Nation called Nigeria, let it be known I appreciate the youth empowerment scheme created by the government to keep about 500k youths away from the street, though I know it's not even up to ⅛ of the population of graduates in this Nation, and this pains me alot.

Now to the issue at hand, the Federal government of Nigeria came up with an n-power scheme which have been working fine until 2017, where the wanted to augument the numbers needed to be employed.
I don't know why it took months for the registered applicant's to partake in the acclaimed online screening, which also took several months to release the names of successful applicants which didn't go down well with many, as there where claim of irregularities in the selection process.

Now the successful applicants where asked to commence physical verification at their residential LGA's to ascertain their authencity, ofcos this exercise was carried out early December last year. After all has been said and done, these verified applicants where also asked to wait for the compilation of the final list from which they would know there fate.

Here are my questions as regarding to this scheme:

Is the said n-power program not a 20months time duration program as earlier informed?

If so, going with the present release of electoral time table scheduled for February 2019, then their is a deficit of 7months already, as we are in the 13th month to the said time, my question here is, what happens to the backlog of 7months already incurred?

What is n-power plans as regards to this gap?

Who benefits from this bridge bearing in mind that the present govt may not be returned to power, and govt in Nigeria is barely a continuum process?

When would the final list be out for work to commence fully?

What is the payment option as regards to the new applicants?

Finally, bearing in mind that n-power 2017 which was supposed to kick start it's affairs fully by July 2017 is now a 2018 program, can one go with the rumors that the scheme has been hijacked politically to score cheap points. If so what is the fate of the common man in such a country that willingly plays it's citizen to the gallery's.

By this submissions of mine, I hope my questions can be answered as to help clear the air surrounding this issue.
