Every shipment coming into the country is taxable except those granted exemption by the Fed govt. I mean every shipment.

Duty calculations are based on some variables and formulas depending on the content of your shipment. With my experience, the major challenge is wrong taxing and not taxing itself.

It's correct..i did same and was approved.. I know a couple who didn't submit statement and was not approved untill they submitted it as requested..

I lumped my letter or explanation together and uploaded it under the additional document space. If the employment doesn’t count towards your points then no need, just put it under your personal history.

It's understandable.
I have checked, so far I only see 2 persons announced ITA. Where will the excitement come from when the hope of many have been dashed in this particular draw? The scores are damn too high!

I can only encourage everyone hoping for an ITA within this year to keep hope alive. I have learnt in this life that there's nothing impossible with God, as long as you do your part the best you can.

In my own case, being close to 40 years, having a masters degree, maxing IELTS with only reading being deficient (7), and with original CRS before nomination at 435, there's no way I would have clinched a Federal ITA within the next one year given the current CRS trend, but you see, I kept hope alive and God came through for me.

What I'm trying to say is this, start early in this journey, try to max out IELTS, get a masters or 2 or more degrees, get minimum 3 years of work experience (if you have less than this please add your NYSC), leave the rest to God and stay positive. A little shift of change with one of the PNPs could just do the trick!

Best to buy in Canada, but if you are bent on buying from the UK, then buy from a mountaineering cloths and equipment store not a regular cloth store. Look out for the down/feather ratio and down fill power. If downs are too expensive, you might want to look at jackets with alternative insulation. However, alternative insulation won't last aslong as a down/feather parka.

Since parkas are becoming more of a fashion accessory these days and don't come cheap, you can get a regular jacket and layer up. Nothing keeps you as warm as layers. Just layer up and you will be fine.
