I don't know why people insist on this method. The bottle clearly states that it should not be rubbed on the skin. And then people pour it on the fontanelle of a baby which is the most exposed part of a baby.

I have never heard of Chloxy G gel. Could you post a picture of it? Who gave it to you to use because I haven't heard of people using more than spirit (isoprophy alcohol) or vaseline or coconut/olive oil on the navel.

It's d newly recommended gel 4 cord care. Just drop once a day I think. Dint use it sha, so no experience wit it.

Portable4real, I tank God 4 u o. D same tin almost hapnd 2 me as a 1st time mum. U know after delivery, dey 'll stick a pad in 2 stop d blood flow b4 u wear d oda on ur pant. As a 1st time mum, I just felt it ll fall out itself. I kept changing d outer one bt dat one was inside. I kept telling my mum dat d one inside is blocking my urine bt her mind dint go dere. Almost 24hrs later I was feeling uncomfortable so I told d midwife dat d inner one is still dere o, she shouted n said I'm suppose 2 av removed it since na. I said I dint know o. She asked 4 gloves n pulled it out. It was already dried. I immediately started feeling feverish. I just tank God it dint stay longer dan dat. In my 2 subsequent deliveries, I'm always reminding d nurse if it's not yet time 2 remove d inner pad cos I can't remove it myself. Wen dey feel it has stayed long enough, like 6hrs or so, dey remove it.

@ blessedmum, pls discard dat mixture. Skineal is a steroid nd shld not b used as a daily creame. D long term effect is terrible. Iv seen wat it did 2 my nephew's skin n its not pleasant 2 d eyes. Shea butter n coconut oil is good. No need 4 mixtures.

Pneumococcal is nw free in govt hospitals here in lag we were so lucky cos twas d day we went for 6wks immunization it was introduced. Thou we had to pay to get d rotavirus in a private hospital buh we were told at d health center dat it wld soon b available for free as well hoping it wld b so by our nxt appointment

It's not lice o, it's cald cradle cap. Put a generous amt of baby oil on it den use comb 2 remove. Some mamas here also used nizoral (check spelling) shampoo 2 wash scalp.

2. If eva baby falls 4rm ur back, make sure u fall wit d baby don't know how dat ll help d situation. Nd u must speak out o, don't hide it. In my mind i said wat d world dose not know cant b used against u. But i dont eva pray 4 dis o, cos d fear of head injuries n all is enough 2 b extra careful. God help us.

3. U know dat smile babies smile wen dey want 2 sleep off, don't smile back @ d baby, else d baby ll b a stammerrer Dont even know where I heard dis one 4rm. All I know is I find myself shouting @ dh don't smile back o, nd he ll just shake his head.

Lastly, don't collect or give baby @ d door post. Yet 2 know d implications of dis. I know dey r all myths, bt I find myself obeying dem. What odas av u heard, pls share. Good mrn.

No iya ibeji, don't mix in baby tribotan. It's also not advised 2 b used as a long term creme. Y not mix Shea butter n coconut oil instead. Mixing of skineal, funbact A, baby tribotan n d rest 2 baby creams has a long term effect like liftedhands said.

Cook dis kind of groundnut soup 4 estako man, only u o eat am. Totally different 4rm d way we cook ours.

Always burp him after breastfeeding b4 putting him down. My 2wks old baby makes d catarrh like noise 2, bt I feel he ll outgrow it soon. I just sprinkle a bit of silverbird oil in his bedsheet n rub some on his clothes 2 clear his airwaves. No visible sign of d catarrh. Bt if u r very worried, u can take him 2 ur pead 2 listen 2 his chest.
