Can a 4month old baby take Cerelac? I'm currently giving my baby Heinz cereal for 4+ months. I've always thought cerelac and co are for 6 months old and above.

Wen my sis baby had cough n cattarrh, d doc just told her 2 continue breastfeeding n dat it ll go on its own. Sometimes dis drugs given 2 infant reduces dia immune 2 d ailment, it might cure it @ 1st bt later ur baby becomes resistant 2 d drugs. Wat I do is use hot water 2 press her nose n rub ori on her nose n neck n it goes on its own. I tink our weather here, d dust also makes our los get d cough n cattarrh frequently. I feel u cos its mostly @ nite wen d baby is settling down 2 sleep dat d cough becomes serious. Just rub ori on his neck den, myb he ll settle. Oda mamas pls ur opinions.

please how do you handle these government officials giving polio vaccine to children street to street. do you allow your children to be immunization by them even though you have a vaccine routine with your hospital?

I didnt allow my child, since l know he is up to date with his vaccines, however, l have another vaccine appointment for him at his 18th month. People around felt l was doing 'l too know' because they told me there is no over dose of it and that what they are giving is a different one, which has not been given before. i trust my hospital to give him in his next appt if he needs it.

Please how do you handle this?

I think b4 dis pple r sent out, govt n hospitals already knows dat children below 2yrs av an immunization routine. So 4 dem 2 keep insisting on giving all children below 5yrs, I tink dey know wat dey r doing. My baby is 4mths old n I brought her out 4 it yestdy even though she collected @ 3mths. I tink its just dia way of eradicating polio. Don't tink deer is ova dose of it. But let us know wat ur pead says cos mine says nothing is wrong wit it.

Pple shld remember dis is a faceless forum, don't let ur desperation lead u 2 a bigger mess. D fact dat pple who say dey r docs give u dia opinion 2 d solution 2 ur problem dsnt mean u put all ur trust in d person. If uv got a problem, visit a hospital, quick solutions usually false.

d MMR is frm 12 to 15 mnths. ask d nurse wen next u go. d measles alone is 9months.
my baby was given his 9 mnths vaccines on his thighs. abeg mamas, share ur experience on whr d vaccines wer given to ur LOs.

My son was given measles n yellow fever vaccines on his upper arms.

9mths is 4 measles n yellow fever. Maybe u were spose 2 return on d 27th 4 d yellow fever vaccine bt u missed DAT. Just explain wen u get deer DAT ur child already took d measles vaccine bt u missed dat of yellow fever. Dey ll give him just 1. Relax.

It worked fine 4 d rash, her face is very smooth. Its d artificial lightness left behind dat I'm tinking of how 2 clear.

Sudocrem did the same to my baby's bum. The parts that I applied it to became lighter. After some days, the Sudocrem stopped working for the rash sef.

Sorry, I don't have an idea of what is on your baby's face.

I only used sudocreme twice on her face cos she rubs her face n can put d hand in her mouth, so I stood. D rash cleared bt d lightness remained n spread 2 some part of her face. Well let me c if it ll fade off after a while.

Happy new year good people. My 6 weeks daughter is always staring at the ceiling. Should i be bothered or ignore it. She even smiles while staring atimes, it is kinda scary.

Its normal, almost all kids I know does it, including mine, especially if d ceiling fan is turned on.

Thanks for the responses but I'm sure she latches on well. I made research on it and corrected the way she feeds. It became better at a time but last night was crazy for me. She could not sleep and I could not too, she kept asking for food. It was so difficult.

I'm still open to suggestions on formula. Thanks.

4rm wat I read, some weeks r better dan some. in some weeks, babies demand 4 food like its going out of fashion, while in some, u ll b wondering if something is wrong cos she is not demanding. I ll suggest u watch her 4 a week n c if d pattern changes, cos d truth is wit babies, some nights ll b beta dan some.

can't suggest ny formula cos I'm not using ny now. I used sma gold 4 my son, bt dat was 2yrs back n I tink deer r new variations of it in d mkt now.

My mum said during pregnancy, if one doesnt eat on time as in always staying hungry, the result will be serious navel pains for the new baby.

I remember anytime i tell her i avnt eaten since morning, she always shout at me, that i will be the one to suffer it wen i give birth.

sorry dear, God ll crown all our efforts 2wards d children wit success. I've been lucky, my children don't usually av ny serious stomach pain. immediately d cord falls off, I start pressing d navel wit hot handkerchief given 2 me by my pead. so dat n d nospamin is wat I use.

also had terrible pain in my anus 4rm sitting 2 much while breastfeeding, just started feeling some relief lately. God ll help us.
