The Federal Government says state governments and school administrators should start making preparations for the full reopening of schools in the country.
The PUNCH had earlier reported that schools in the country had been shut in March as part of measures to curb the spread of the coronavirus disease.
However, the Federal Government announced the resumption of graduating pupils effective August 4, 2020, to write this year’s West African Senior School Certificate Examination from August 17, 2020, through September 12, 2020.
But speaking on Thursday, the National Coordinator of the Presidential Taskforce on COVID-19, Dr Sani Aliyu, during a briefing at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja, said the task force recommends phased return of students.
Aliyu said, “For educational institutions which include daycare, primary, secondary and tertiary institutions. Educational institutions should begin the process of working towards potentially reopening within this phase.
“However, we strongly recommend that states conduct risk assessment to ensure all schools are at a level of compliance and create a monitoring mechanism to assess, create, and monitor this level of preparedness.
“Meanwhile, all daycares and educational institutions are to remain closed to in-classes until this level of risk is assessed. And if there will be opening of schools, it must be staged and preferably carried out in phases to ensure that this does not pose a risk to the general public and in particular to vulnerable groups that might end up getting infected by students going back home.”
Abasman008: This shit hole is breaking up slowly but steadily... I laugh at anyone who feels there hope for this country... There is more hope for Afghanistan than Nigeria....
Everyone knows we're rich in every single thing except human development..
So lol everyone is just waiting for it to break so that they can Scramble for it... China being wise is making investments already... You wont see trains in the south, but you will see them were the Chinese feel there will be a lot of confusion after the break hence pretending to put everything back on will quench the confusion and turn the people to slaves....
The only people I pity are the middle beltans because the little christianity left there will be quenched should a break occur...because as the maps say there are in the middle belt but are still part of the north......
The yoruba's are like wolfs very intelligent and very hard working, but the dog part of a wolf has made him loyal to the bird just because it has wings... The bird eats up everything the wolf helps catch and remains just enough to keep the wolf loyal... But imagine a pack of wolfs ruled by wolfs .
The ibgos..are elephants very powerful and majestic and can make it we're everyone else can't.., but when it comes to putting forces together everyone starts remembering which elephant lives in the jungle, or which lives in the plains or which lives in the Savannah.. they too have become loyal to the bird not because it has wings but because each group of elephants have sent envoys without the knowledge of each other to the bird who tells each of them the same thing and that is "you are greater than your brother" a lie they believe.
The Niger deltans.. are a group of bees living together in a colony providing honey to the bird who promises not to eat them provided they shut up and keep producing honey.. even when the the bird is also spoiling their comb by taking more than honey.. they don't complain because when they do the bird eats few of them and no other bee wants to be eaten so a swarm of bees who are a million more plentier and stronger shuts up...the queen bees prefer to be submissive even when they are a greater foe.....

He is heard crying in deep agony as he says that he works hard to take care of his children only for his tenant to destroy his house.

A couple who were caught having sekzual intercourse in a car have been shamed by residents. At the time of this story, it is unknown which area the said incident happened.
From what we gather, the couple parked their car in an isolated area along the street and started ‘benging and genging’.
Someone who immediately spotted the act immediately alerted other residents of the area, and they went on to disgrace them as they felt angry that, they decided to bring their private activity to the area.
Though Facebook user John did not give the exact location of the incident, however it was gathered that the couple were sent away after they were embarrassed.
While some social media users supported the move by residents of the area, others maintained that the couple did nothing wrong and shouldn’t have been shamed since they are both adults.
BBNaija Lockdown housemates Nengi and Ozo are still waxing strong in their friendship. Recently, the duo was spotted in a series of videos having intimate conversations.
While retiring for the night, Nengi told Ozo, who was also on the bed like her to shut the door which he did and then return to bed with her.

codeigniter: after seeing a lot of people lament on NL and seeing that they (NL) ignores people who call for improvement, I saw that people need a platform beta than NL, then how do I do this, I created a Django project and started to write codes, if u see anything on the platform, i wrote it even the unnoticeable things, it alot of work, it took more than 2 months to write, and i was kind of stupid I thought beta designs and more functionalities would make people automatically use the platform, but I was wrong, well I am not surprised this is the country where people call for change but they are not ready or comfortable to change. the forum is a platform where u would want join, the ability to create your own category, threads, to follow people and see all their posts on ur their activities feeds, u have better of getting jobs because u get notified if a job posted meets your job tags, ability to create polls and get a bar chart and get notified when the polls expires and ability to post blogs or mini articles, the best thing here is that on complains the site get updated in real-time. I have moved the app to AWS and got a domain www.africonn.com the forum design is great to me and I spend a huge amount of time on it. the only thing missing is users, if u reading this, pls check it out, I am sure it is the best Nigerian forum u have seen, it is not just some WordPress forum site or Nairaland clone I have been seeing, that more of the reason why I wrote the code in the first place. the best part is that code can be adjusted when people wants or complains it ain't rigid like Nairaland, please the least you could is sign up and share d apps with ur networks on any SM networks on your profile. www.africonn.com/forum/signup/
Still got lots of work to do there, it's cool though.
