Hello Guru's in the house, I checked my application and I was refused. I applied on the 23rd of September and I'm sure there's a way forward. My agent is silent and i have seen people do it here without any agent. I need you all to help me tackle this refusal. Thank you so much.

Sorry for the delay. looking at your refusal letter the reasons ticked points to your finances. If you post your profile we can be able to help you better? #nevergiveup

I have been brainstorming on how to help you concerning your refusal. My suggestions

1. Apply for a B.Sc. It is more credible to a VO compared to a diploma.

2. Go out and volunteer, it will help cater for your activity Gap. Ensure you give full details of all the activities. You can learn computer programming, CAD designs, etc. You must ensure all your activities are well detailed.

3. Write a stronger SOP. We can look at that together, send me a PM from next week I'm busy lately.

4. Take SAT score very high, you may get a scholarship in the U.S. with that and that will help convince the U.S. VO of your credibility.

With these, you can sort out your Canada and U.S. refusals.

Cheers.
Thanks a lot dear I really appreciate it. For a start I have applied for Business Administration at UPEI. Also since last semester I have been studying economics at university. The reason I applied for business administration is I have been helping my father in his business since I graduated from high school in 2013.
The course I applied for during my last application was Aviation Operations I guess the reason for employment prospects in country of residence was ticked.
I wish you all the best in Canada.
Cheers

My advice to all applicants is to answer all the questions asked truthfully.

Hi munezsanti. I am not a lawyer but I feel your case is somehow different from wasiu's case. WASIU indicated that he was not refused USA visa whereas you left the space blank on your form. U can claim innocent misrepresentation here and hence no strict penalty. @wasiu, kindly respond to this issue with all seriousness and take it like its a big chance to prove your integrity. All the best
Our case are similar except that i did not receive a letter telling me to reply within 15 days....I answered NO on the form. What helped me is the letter of clarification i wrote

Note: both applications where processed in the Canadian embassy in Paris France. So guys please help me tackle this so that my third application will be a success.
I normally see on applicant's rejection letters purpose of visit and it accomplishes but mine is different no purpose of visit ticked.

I then reapplied and I got this

Travel / Re: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by MunezSanti: 11:45am On Jan 06, 2017
Trust me... Your case wasn't serious.. hence your testimony...
And then did you use an agent?....

Responses sample to such claims as it was "an error or negligence" says 'error of commission on such important documents as (visa application forms) is least expected from an intending student of Early Childhood Education in Canada'..... What about that?!... I have samples.
Regards.[/quote] I did not use an agent. Here is the GCMS note from my first application

@folaroyal and others please i have a big issue please help me out. i refused in US visa twice but i am not stated it in my application. see down below of what i recieved for accra, canada embassy.

Dear Wasiu Popoola:
I was also rejected due to the same reason u found your self in....but I wasn't sent a letter to respond within 15days. I wasn't ban either. I reapplied and explain in detail that the error was completely on my part...I then got rejected again due travel history, employment prospects in country of residence, current employment situation and personal assets and financial status. The good news is I escaped the ban. I am planning to send my third application soon. Go through my profile and u will see the gcms notes of my first and second application.

Please according to this checklist does it mean I can used the same bank statement I used in my first application?

Travel / Re: Travelling To Canada Part 10 by MunezSanti: 8:17pm On Jul 22, 2016
Thanks a lot.
yemdogg:

You didn't submit an "Authorisation of Representative Form" earlier to show that you actually used a representative to apply for your study permit. Saying that the agent you used made the mistake will only discredit your application further. thesoj has said it all. Just write a separate letter explaining why you made such mistake.
Travel / Re: Travelling To Canada Part 10 by MunezSanti: 8:14pm On Jul 22, 2016
I paid through my credit card
holytribe:

About the payment method, the you use Nigerian debit card or how did you go about it, so I can request for mine today. Thanks
Travel / Re: Travelling To Canada Part 10 by MunezSanti: 3:53am On Jul 22, 2016
Well I requested my notes successfully from outside of Canada and the fee I paid was $5 only. U need the following in other to request your notes:
credit/visa card
a signed consent form
an address of someone you know in Canada
a copy of someone's study or work permit (but this is optional)
Internet access.
When in the online application, answer the questions as if you are in Canada. That's how I applied for my gcms notes and it was submitted successfully. Good luck

Please show me the way on how you requested your gcms. Thanks

@Thesoj please is it possible I send you my letter of clarification you review it for me? I am done writing it.
Travel / Re: Travelling To Canada Part 10 by MunezSanti: 11:01pm On Jul 21, 2016
Thanks @Thesoj you are a great man. The information you put in this thread is very valuable. God bless you. I am really surprised that my application was processed in Paris, France.
thesoj:
Hmm... I don't mean to make you feel worse BUT how did you possibly mistakenly "forget" to answer the question truthfully? You will need to give credible reasons for why you mistakenly didn't answer truthfully. To be bluntly honest with you, if I were the VO there is no way I could be convinced that you mistakenly answered "No" when the question is as clear as day. It is even more difficult to believe that it was a mistake (even if it was truly a mistake) because a "No" answer benefits your application.

With this in mind, if you choose to apply again you WILL need to have extremely convincing reasons to prove beyond every reasonable doubt that you didn't plan to deceive the VO. Several people on the thread in the past have argued endlessly that the US doesn't share info with Canada, but this is obviously untrue (both countries have announced this publicly!). But even if both countries didn't announce publicly they don't share info with each other, we should still get used to telling the truth.

This post is not meant to judge you (I'm not infallible myself), but to help you realize that the bar for your next application is VERY high. So you need to make sure that in your Letter of Clarification (I recommend you write one, separate from your SOP), you make a very CREDIBLE case for why you made this/these mistakes. Your situation is not insurmountable, but you yourself will need to figure out a way to explain your mistake. I don't think anyone else knows why you made that mistake, only you do. So go ahead and explain to the VO what happened, s/he may understand if your explanation is TRULY credible -- they are human too.

My sponsor is my dad. I included a detailed notarised letter of sponsorship in my previous application. The funny part is my application was processed in the Canadian embassy in Paris, France.
princeade09:

Apply with the same documents and this time add a well notarized affidavit of sponsorship, if sponsor is not your dad or mum, let him declare on the affidavit how much exactly he will be sponsoring you very year. But make sure you disclose the USA visa failure and now u can start praying.
