The first picture is not the same with others. A helicopter cannot crash this way and still remain whole and killed everyone in it! If at all nothing damaged in the helicopter, the massive fan alone would have been destroyed!

I did my nysc in dat local government. d incidence of appendicitis n hernia was so alarmin . d water is so bad dat dey use alum to coagulate n sediment d debrises including faecal material b4 using it 4 cooking n direct consumption. there is high level of physical exertion. they actually need government presence to improve on their welfare.

frankly speaking;Enugu state has the worst rural areas in south east...their state capital is the best actually but they lost it totally in the rural areas...so messed up

The few selected places looks massively underdeveloped and it is shocking that these pictures were taken in the 50s and 60s. Only God knows what the villages would have looked like, if the "cities" looked that rickety just 60 years.

The Biafran war was probably a blessing in disguise to erect better buildings. Nothing to celebrate here - just the legacy of underdevelopment colonisation left behind, while the colonists looted the whole country blind.

you are just a hater....i can bet u that those old pictures of onitsha in the 60s are far better than present day ibadan with brown roofs..learn to appreciate the good things in people..

am a lion...a final year medical student of unn(Enugu campus to be precise)...unn is PURELY living on past glory..i once went to university of Ibadan and also went to university college hospital and from what i saw unn only specialise in noise making and chest beating..unth is just a primary health care centre compared to uch and ui more robust than unn...SHAME on our past VCs and CMDs who have failed us

I've said it before that anybody who is asking for the division of Nigeria has no sense at all. The hatred between ethnic groups in thesame region is even worse than that outside the region. Give the igbos Biafra today and I bet they will use a good number of years bombing each other; Enugu igbo vs Anambra igbo, Ebonyi igbo vs Abia igbo, Imo igbo vs Ikwerre, etc. Our problem in Nigeria is that we hate ourselves for nothing irrespective of tribe, religion and what have you. I've heard older uncles of mine refer to my tribesmen who speak different dialect from ours as devils.. We speak thesame language, just some little variations but a man from my side will prefer to do business, marry, interact with someone even from space than have anything to do with those people who speak same language as us.. We black people have a long way to go.
